  1. Makes the ride in my LS seem firm especially over recessed inspection covers etc etc, love the sound of the rover V8, single figure mpg though lol, his died when the wiring for the wiper motor burnt out taking the dashboard with it....
  2. a friend of mine had one identical to yours, so so comfy the ride was, sounded lovely too
  3. i had the same problem, took it into lexus in the end, as a so called indi lexus toyota garage couldn't read the ecu either.
  4. you might lose back pressure if you de cat it, and lose bottom end torque
  5. just went out and gave mine a good polish, as its still working touch wood lol
  6. mine jolts between P and R, i was told one of the diff mount bushes was worn, as the garage had it on the ramp to check it, the tranny mount was fine.
  7. The A/C looks off in those pics? would love to do that in mine though
  8. it could have had a whack on the suspension? hmmm i would be highly suspicious
  9. strut rod bushes sounds like to me, mines doing the same, i checked mine and there is plenty of play in them, how much are we talking to get fixed?
  10. I have noticed that if i leave my headlight switch in auto, then start the car at night the headlights come on before i start the car, i take it this is ok?
  11. cheers for the advice, might give that a go
  12. mine are coming to 20k and i have brake judder, more apparent at higher speeds, it has oe lexus discs and pads.
  13. superb find, the mpg on the 1998 model is 16.1 urban which is pretty much what mine does so i can confirm there is nothing wrong with my car
  14. CTS = coolant temp sensor have a look at this thread http://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-1st-and-2nd-gen-1990-2000/377171-diy-coolant-temperature-sensor-change-pics.html
  15. also you would have poor fuel consumption all of the time if your sensor was faulty
  16. bearing in mind that these do rev quite highly when cold but soon calm down, mine does
  17. mine averages about 17.5 mpg according to the computer thats all round town, it doesnt matter how i drive it hard or like a nun, also the instantaneous consumption is the same, full throttle or gentle throttle inputs give the same low readings on acceleration. I have taken it into lexus and they said there are no codes on the ecu.
  18. mine seems very accurate at 30 mph as those lamp post speed displays say 30 too
  19. I have mobil 1 5-30 esp synthetic in mine
  20. Yes same here, i had a 306 gti6 and the rain sensor wipers were comical, they did exactly the opposite thing to what they should, ie intermittent when heavy rain, then when it stopped raining they would go at full speed
