  1. Thanks for taking the time to create this clip gents. I will be considering a H&S cat back like Stu's at some point. What increases have you found with insurance and did any companies refuse to provide a quote?
  2. Great idea Stu for those of us that can't make it.
  3. If it's the cheaper of the two cars referred to in this thread then Stu is correct. This is the thread I was thinking of: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/97385-soon-to-be-new-owner-how-to-tell-if-it-has-lsd/
  4. Pete, your exhaust is awesome!
  5. I seem to remember the wheel refurb colour wasn't even close to the original. (There is no original paint code for the wheels!)
  6. Before I think: here is how I found it http://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-f-2008-2014/792902-my-hayward-and-scott-custom-exhaust.html
  7. Don't know if it's a press car but it means it has been lent out to various motoring journalists and driven vigorously! I know this car has been discussed before a few months ago.
  8. Hope you don't mind Pete. Awesome sound 👍
  9. Yes I did the F badge too as I think it adds to the stealth look. If the badges were simply stuck on I would have removed them. I know Pete has debadged the rear but left the F badge on which looks great. (Has anybody heard his exhaust? There is a clip on Youtube, it sounds amazing.) Agreed, the blacked out grille one looks superb.
  10. Looks great, I really like the contrast with the white. I have used plastidip on all three rear badges and like Stu says it adds to the stealth of a black car. Never used it before but got it looking reasonable on the second attempt. I did it a few months ago and it still looks fine. The best bit is if you ever change your mind you can just peel it off! (EDIT: sorry Ace just said that!) Here's a quick snap I took the day I did it:
  11. Congrats and agreed - the best colour :)
  12. Welcome Mrfunex. Sounds like you have the ideal mods already done. Enjoy :)
  13. Awesome job Stu, the finish is mirror like! :)
  14. Spot on Colin, detailed on the Lexus website here: http://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/servicing-and-maintenance/index.tmex#/BookAService
  15. Looks superb Stu. Have you picked it up yet?
  16. Excellent find - love the commentary including comparison with other cars.
  17. 3.0 V6 bi-turbo which is apparently 'Ferrari derived'. Sounds very promising :)
  18. Very interesting Steve and I like the fact it's not the default choice like most IS-F and probably Lexus owners. Did you see this a couple of days ago? http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/used-car-buying-guides/v8-saloons-price-nissan-qashqai-used-car-buying-guide IS-F gets an honourable mention.
  19. Hi Nick, agreed, good to know these are really well built cars. I'm intrigued though - what was the basic cost of your service before the filters and shock? The big services are every 60k and 100k as per Lexus: http://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/servicing-and-maintenance/#/ServicingYourLexus
  20. Stockport have quoted me £295.
  21. Mine is booked in for next month. What should I be paying for the intermediate service? Anyone had one done recently?
  22. Sounds fairly priced for 2010 model with that kind of milage toffee. Ace I know you're not selling and putting it up for £22k and doing the deal at £22k are two different things but I think you're being optimistic regarding the value. My 2008 has done 68k, has Lexus warranty until July 2017 and is in excellent condition bar stone chips on the front end. If I was offered £22k I would seriously consider selling - not that I am thinking about selling btw. Edit - actually just noted yours is a 2009 model Ace so maybe not that optimistic :)
  23. Hi Peter, regardless of people's opinions on the value of modified ISFs at the end of the day it's worth whatever amount someone is prepared to pay for it. I think if you did come to sell you would get more if you returned the car to stock and sold the parts separately if you can be bothered. That's not to say it's worth less than an OEM one. The problem in the UK is the market for even a standard F is fairly limited so for a modded one I would guess it is even more so. Hope you stick around now you're keeping the F :)
  24. Good point Steve. :) By the way, I'm due an intermediate service next month, I'll be giving Stockport Lexus a call to check the cost soon.
