  1. Hi all, so my air con compressor has packed in and needs replacing, the noise it’s making sounds like metal vibrating around when the engine is on and the air con is off or on. I can see the pully has seized too. Car drives fine but sounds awful 😥 Has anyone had this issue and what was the cost to get it repaired. Have seen a Denso compressor on eBay £345 so not sure if that’s a good deal or not and get a garage to fit it? Regards joel
  2. Hi, cheers for the response guess I will take it to a main dealer. Does the paid membership give discount to either Newcastle or teeside Lexus dealer as when looking I count the see
  3. Hi all, Anyone in the North East can recommend a really good garage in the above areas for service and MOT? Just the guy I currently use is retiring end of next month and need to find a new mechanic and garage. regards Joel
  4. Mine has 113500 miles and it’s running well touch wood. Not sure if it makes a difference but since I have had my 2008 IS220d SE Multimedia i have always used shell vpower.
  5. Hi all, my local indi was getting old so I decided to go to main dealership and I have to Lexus Teeside has been really good I cannot fault them.
  6. So it turns out the air mix servos were fine however the dash board had to come out to check the air con / heater matrix which is a 4-5 hour job and with labour being £125 + VAT the unit needed a good clean since dust and muck had stuck to the grease on all the moving parts. Work all carried out and air con gassed just in time for the hot weather. health check and car washed as standard.
  7. So I have contacted Teeside Lexus and the car goes in on the 30th April if it’s the servo then the job will cost including the part £280 to £300 but if it’s the heater matrix it’s a dash out job and he said about £1000 to get that done. im hoping it’s just the servo as I say it’s blowing cold out of once side and when I turn on heat all produce heat. will keep you all posted
  8. Hi all, So today we finally get a warm day in the north east so I put my air con to cold for the first time. (I run my air con all year round) however when I was expecting nice ice cold air I was just getting cold air compared to the passenger side that was getting all the nice ice cold air. Both sides were set to low but only one side gets the ice cold air. called Lexus Teesside who said it could be the Air mix servo that could be sticking and not going down all the way to low. Has as anyone experienced this issue before if so did it cost a lot to get fixed or is there a hack to reset it? Regards Joel
  9. Regarding fuel if you have room in your tank they will put up to £25 pounds worth in when I was speaking to the technician from Teeside. yes I think the person who is doing the dash work must be tall as my seat was all right back. did you get the dark red CT?
  10. Hi all, Since it's Friday i thought lets have some fun, so who has the most miles on there Lexus IS200D? I am currently on 94k on a 08 Plate.

  14. Got my car back was waiting outside looking nice and clean and was hoovered. really good service from Teeside can’t fault them at all.
  15. Car went in today at Teeside and it’s still in I get back tomorrow at 11. They have advised me of the health check and all was good on that front, £25 pounds of diesel and I will see tomorrow if it’s has a valet. Hire car is a CT200h I actually like it but would not swap it for my IS220d
  16. Would leave what you have in and keep the new one for a spare
  17. How is everything now all good? It’s a massive saving the money I saved I can by loads of clips to keep my engine bay covers on! Bloody clips pop off so easy

  19. Have you contacted the site? i didn’t have any issues at all.
  20. Wonder if they found a better way of doing the job. I suppose once they have done a good few they will find a better way and advise all Lexus garages to do it that way to save time and get more cars done. Hope they still washed your car and gave fuel?
  21. So these lock in as they look like what I already have and they do nothing at all. Why on earth do Lexus use really poor clips when the rest of the car is put together so well
  22. Cheers for the link from the link which ones did you pick as there are a fair few?
  23. Hi all, As it’s been forecast for strong winds like an idiot I opened my bonnet to top up with washer fluid! A gust of wind managed to remove the front plastic engine covers along with clips. i know the clips are poor however are any people using alternative clips to hold down there engine covers? I know most people have some missing or all of them so wondering what are people are using. Have looked on eBay and ones I have seen look like the poor ones I have already. cheers in advance Joel
  24. Will be good to see what your experience is. instructions are on the back of disc and that’s all I followed to install mine.
