  2. that can be an expensive fix, make sure its sorted out, and do a comprehensive check on all the electronics/electricals
  3. I got a mini 0806 cant see it in normal usage behind the rear view mirror resolution is impressive. 2560 x 1080 @30fps, I got a 128MEG card in it.
  4. Much better to look at improving the exhaust in the ISF that looking at panel filters.
  5. A proper CAI will offer let far more air into the engine than a standard filter and thus increase hp), you don't need to be a scientist to figure that out. This one here http://www.knfilters.co.uk/search/product.aspx?prod=69-8701TP Its quite a bit more than a panel filter which is nothing more than a standard filter that is reusable.
  6. K&N Engineering will proudly display a highly modified 2006 Lexus IS 250MT in its booth at SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) in October. K&N employees were awarded a stock car from Lexus for display in its booth at the show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Typhoon Air Intake for Lexus IS350 and IS250 K&N has also released a new 69-Series Typhoon Air Intake (69-8701TP) for the 2006 to 2011 Lexus IS350 3.5L and the 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 IS250 2.5L. K&N dynamometer tests show an estimated 11.2 horsepower gain @5800 RPM. "The power gain is exceptional for an engine this size," said K&N Project Technician Nestor Cabrera. "With all our kits there is a thorough development procedure which requires the use of multiple vehicles to ensure a consistent horsepower and torque gain on every car, thus there is a lot of testing that the kit goes through before it is finalized production." K&N used multiple vehicles to ensure a consistent horsepower and torque gain on every car and was able to locate the cars through the K&N Filters website car database. The 69-Series Typhoon Air Intake (69-8701TP) uses the factory mass air flow (MAF) Sensor installed in the tube and a high flow air filter with a heat shield. "The high flow air filter helps provide smooth non turbulent air flow into the intake tube by incorporating a radioused mounting flange," said Cabrera. "The heat shield isolates the filter from the engine compartment keeping the air around it cooler." The design of the Lexus played a major role in the development of the polished aluminum 69-Series Typhoon Air Intake (69-8701TP). "Special care was taken to ensure that the intake system followed the vehicles lines and that it did not obstruct or rub against other parts in the engine compartment," said Cabrera. "We designed the intake system so that all the factory accessory and engine covers could be reused." The K&N Air Filter we used in this air intake was the RU-4990 , said Cabrera. "We considered air flow requirements, location and space," he said. "The flange helps provide smooth air flow into the intake tube." Find K&N products for your vehicle using the K&N application search then use the K&N dealer search to find a K&N dealer in your part of the world.

Results will vary. There was a rolling road print out with my filter to show the hp gain. Proper CAI kits do give some hp increase, and a nice rasp.
  8. A panel filter is about as good as using rolled up paper, it will not give any noticeable improvement.
  9. I got a K&N Typhoon, a serious grunt when you up the revs compared to before. The way the car should be from stock...!

  13. cheers dude, interesting. I am put off German cars due to most large ones having turbos and Quattos having problems of their own. In terms of Japanese I was eying up the 3.0 Subaru Legacy R. GT-R is out of my wallet, EVO is too much of a police stopper. That leaves the IS-F, I do like its sleeper and un assuming posture. Its a car I could potentially see myself driving.
  14. pics?! just for interest....! id love a is-f, but even if you get a one for 20 odd grand its still a sizable wallet you need to run it.
  15. all these ones I quoted seem to be all from, well far flung places. Which is a bit mental. What alternatives do you suggest?
  16. Guys, Noticed tonight that one of my bulbs is blown, I think its best to change both (even though the other looks fine), are these bulbs legal and any thoughts? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Philips-Ultinon-6000K-D4S-Xenon-HID-Bulbs-Toyota-Lexus-RX-IS-GS-86-GTS-/121111786203?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c32d332db cheers.
  17. Andy a boyracer :p I hope your missus and your Lexus are intact
  18. Apple iPhones cannot detect the iVIC Bluetooth, which is how the unit sends the touch screen commands to the phone. So you will not be able to get touch integration. You could probably get the screen casting to work using Apple TV as that uses a HDMI output (I cannot confirm this as I do not have an Apple TV device). You will not get wireless charging as iPhones don't have that feature either. I'm still working on website thanks :) iphones are brutal, dont know how anyone can stick them.
  19. go into the vosa website and/or the lexus site, it will tell you if your car is due a recall. I checked both and also got onto lexus for confirmation and they said I am not due no recall (I was wondering about the fuel pipe issue)
  20. that is what i thought, I thought I saw bi-xenon listed on some ads for the is250, maybe it was bs.
  21. don't see any problems with mine, about my question on HIDs, has the SE-L Bi--Xenon bulb? it should be a single bulb for high/low beam, if thats the case why is there a bulb for the high beam too, a halogen one.
