  1. nah man, I seen you pottering around portswood once :p very modest driver and very tame looking car.
  2. The only ISF I seen was Andys around hampshire. I am pondering about getting one in 2016., :$
  3. my alloys, paint job. Jobs a good 'un. Its Gunmetal anthracite pearl paint.
  4. 17" alloys are the same size front and rear, the tyres are a different width at the back. 19" rims IMO are over kill, especially on UK roads, the ride is going to hurt as much as getting tyres bought. Do you know how much 19" cost? If you want to fill arches I would look at getting coils or springs, on 17" you can still get all the looks with a proper set of springs or coilovers. Its what I am probably going to do myself. I asked on here about the level sensor and coilovers and apparently once fitted properly and the OEM sensor is not meddled with you are good to go.
  5. I think that is nonsense tbh, my car has all the electricals on and it starts bang on and has done so since i got it. What does the manual say about a/c i have not seen anything.
  6. true! Its not a very exciting car to drive, the 250 but its gets you from A to B in about as pleasurable a experience you can imagine, and all the toys help. My girlfriend fell asleep in it several times, just nodded off, even while talking to her it seemed...:$
  7. where is it getting caught?, the latch looks (sounds) bent out of place, I would investigate it very close.
  8. I have not hooked up my obd scanner to my car but I dont think these cheap ones can deal with many codes, such as VSA and other electrical faults. But for what you pay it is a good investment. being an is250 I never had a need to use my scanner yet.
  9. nah, not really. I cant reverse. I never took behind me, there is a big SUV, for me to go into that position in the photo took about 10 turns. reversing in is not an option. the management have seen the photo, I made it clear I want the kerb gone, else I have to leave the place entirely.
  10. too tight, i sent a message to letting agency, not putting up with it no more, told them knock the kerb and hedging. else i am off, even though i signed up for another year. sick of this crap, anyway when i moved in i was told i would get a bay in a totally different area of the complex. The guy in the fiat parks as close as possible to me the muppet. in good news, calipers are going to be red, and wheels will be gunmetal grey.
  11. doubt a 11 reg 250 will have a ****** radiator :p lovely car, any interior shots.
  12. LOL I will take a photo of my parking tomorrow, brutal. 19" are too much for me, the rubber is going to break you. I personally think 19" are a bit too much.
  13. tbh, i would probably get these rather than standard springs, not now but maybe in a few months. Tein Street Advance Coilover Suspension Kit Lexus IS250 2008 2.5 Lowers Front 25-45mm and Lowers Rear 25-45mm £516.00
  14. has the is250 adjustable camber? on the accord i had to get camber arms as the back was useless on springs, too low down and out of camber. Ended up getting coils and camber arms to straighten out and give it a proper look. which was not cheap...!
  15. ISF out of budget a bit, my car is caxton slate, no mods. The wheels will be painted thats all. Red looks the most probably colour so, the body shop guy said so too. This will be a proper caliper paint job, removed, cleaned, painted, clear coat etc. As for lowering, i am wondering if coils are worth the additional money, I had BC BRs on my 2.4 Accord prior to my 250, handled really well with them on, but on crap roads they were very harsh.
  16. Guys While my wheels get done I am doing the calipers too, what colour do you guys recommend? I had silver kit ordered and the body shop guy did not recommend silver, he said any solid colour is better, black or red for example, red he said would be good. So, as it stands red it will be unless other colours would look better? the wheels will be done Grey Gunmetal anthracite, (dark grey metallic) any thoughts? I also am pondering on lowering springs/coils... :$
  17. I have got gunmetal paint, just to find time to get them done now. my existing ones that is. Not a great scope for Lexus owners in terms of replacing alloys, to keep OEM styles.
  18. cant see the benefits of botchering up the OEM intake but each to their own.
  19. I got a honda jazz for my mom recently, on the ferry to Ireland (its new home) I decided to check the tyre pressure so i did in rosslare, one of the front tyres had.... 90psi 90! took me ages to deflate it, cant believe anyone could put that much air into a small 15" tyre, I was lucky it did not blow out. Told the garage about it, but i think they haven't a clue about tyre pressure.
