  1. I have my 250 a year, It never entered my mind to take it to a main dealer when i bought it, even though it had all lexus stamps. I found a very good mechanic local to me. A year on and my car is totally trouble free, only problem i had thus far was the water pump, which was probably due anyway at the milage on the clock.
  2. that seems very cheap but you are in scotland, I expect my renewal to be north of 300 in a few months, else I am shopping around.
  3. But the motoring group said it expected this average of the cheapest deals - £540 a year - to increase in the coming months. £540 seems a tad expensive for the average insurance? Wonder what the average insurance for 250 owners here is? Mine is over £400 i think but I have a load of points, due to drop off my licence in a month.
  4. I got this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191235226940 for a fiver, I had to give it a go. The leather is black, 3 interior colours for the Lexus of the 2008 era..
  5. Mine are vented front and back, the rear ones on mine were vented. Some 250s have vented rears some have solid, the vented are 310mm.
  6. thats very good, I have not taken mine on many long runs, I got late 30s when I last went to Ireland but my foot might be a bit heavy, I get around 20s around town which is what I do most.
  7. I want a F, I find the 250 too slow, but maybe that's just me. No amount of mods I could put onto the car would make it go any faster.! but it's still a very good car in its own right.
  8. Guys, Has anyone used any product's for repairing scuff marks around the drivers bolster? My seats are in excellent condition apart from scuff marks on the drivers side. Also how do I find the colour code for interior trim? Cheers.
  9. To be fair an ISF is a different animal to a is250, not everyone can get an F just like that. I'm sure loads of 250 owners would like a F..me included.
  10. For yellow stuffs approx 100gbp for front and back each. Mtec blacks about 90 each, front /back. Labour about 140 I paid for full install and replinish brake fluid.
  11. nothing noticeable, apart from the initial install and first milage with them on.
  12. I had horrendous dust issues with my OEM set up, so went all out on new discs and pads. These have much better stopping power than the originals, that is pretty guaranteed. Long term evaluation will take a bit longer. I don't expect to be getting new discs/pads again as I am eying up a F next year.
  13. I think you can gather from my tone that I would. 83k on originals, you need to take them off man and get new ones.
  14. surely coils would be more stiffer than the OEM ones?
  15. these are incredible, stopping power is immense over OEM. Did a bedding in session last night.
  16. 'Lexi' make fine cars, I don't get all this hate towards them, its not like they are a rolls royce. They are just a very well engineered car with lots and lots of goodies. I am seriously considering an ISF next year. Very reasonable economy and far more reliable than any Germany equivalent.
  17. I am up for anything in basingstoke, I need a drive in Andys car :p
  18. its admirable, but not really for me. I dont have time for that stuff anyway but good luck with the new bumper in any event.!
  19. you are obsessed with following my posts it seems, you are the most unlikeliest of ISF owners i have come across. IMO he is ruining that lexus but if it makes him happy well and good.
  20. I dont get all the mods, with all the money you are throwing at it you could well buy a real is-f or even an is350 import. but each to their own.
  21. looks cheap alright, getting insurance on all them mods though.......
  22. no point having a camera if the quality is not good, i can easily make out number plates on this and £100 is not much for peace of mind.
  23. I wouldn't really trust it at that price myself, this is the 0806 on mine. I cant see it behind the rear view mirror. It does the job well for me, I have looked at a few videos from it.
  24. getting OEM low dust pads from the USA seems a bit of hard work, break pads ffs. If these MTEC warp at 8 months usage I would seek a refund.
