  1. yes, best get a strong whiskey how did you manage that? I would always request 2 keys with a car. You never know what can happen.
  2. buy all the items from ebay or whatever and source a local indy to put them on, under no circumstances go to Lexus with a 2005 car. Items you need are, Oil - i use 5/30 castrol edge, plug oil filter pollen/cabin filter air filter then also potentially replacement brake pads, discs, and spark plugs, and the brake fluid replenished. thats if you don't know when the above was last done. If you do all the above it will last a long time before it needs any more servicing. also you should get the slider pins greased on the calipers.
  3. I dont see why more people have not used the rear view mirror? you can tuck the cig lighter (which is all that is used to get 5v supply) under the roof trim. else you can hack into the fuse box and trail the wiring around the a pillar.
  4. I seen a 2010 in cardiff lexus for 22k ish, looked wonderful. if it was this time next year i would be over in a shot, its sold now. had 40k ish miles i think. hope the new owner likes it
  5. hello, oil is the only thing lubricating moving parts in the engine. Neglected oil changes cause havoc with a cars engine.
  6. I got 2 master keys, out of interest I locked the car, chucked 1 key into the boot and it shut, the doors stayed locked. so.......
  7. IMO the ISF is absolutely fine in its stock format. Maybe some painted calipers but I am not a fan of all these mods and you rarely get any money back. I think the Nissan GTR is an exception due to its nature and serious tuning ability.
  8. yeah, its certainly not a common motor at all.
  9. id say the same, walk on too much crap wrong with it. a is250 should have a very quiet engine, mine just ticks along like a cat purring, they all should
  10. thats way loud. whats the milage and when was the oil last done.
  11. The suspension is the only thing on my mind, I am wondering when in 2010 the modified dampers came in. i guess you could easily just get coils in any event.
  12. I wouldn't of thought any mods would increase the asking price. If anything less, as most people want standard and even if they are into modding they would want to do themselves from standard. priced too much, and I agree strip off the mods. If someone wants mods they will put them on themselves.
  13. 2010 models have softer suspension? is this correct and it also has a LSD? I am figuring out what changes the 2010 has over older ones. Also, what sort of miles you typically get in city driving, ie - full tank? !
  14. A subaru legacy 3.0R might be worth a look, if you want a lovely n/a engine in a rare saloon. SE-L is a very nice place to be as mentioned. This is what you get auto Adaptive HID lights w/wash jets Auto wipers auto dimming mirrors memory seats (both sides) heat/cool seats (both sides) smart entry/keyless go all them airbags, knee/curtain etc ML gives you 14 speakers (3 on each door and subs on front and back) Electric blind at rear Heated front/rear window 17" alloys standard parking sensors f/r thats about it, most cars have no where near this much level of kit.
  15. The sport has HID bulbs but not memory seats , it probably has auto lights and wipers too but not certain. Some jaguars don't have Hid lights BTW.
  16. Nothing wrong with SR with ML set up, has it front and rear sensors? The reverse camera is integrated into this unit. The SR won't have Hid bulbs or auto mirror, wipers , memory seats etc but it's the same reliable is250 at the end of the day.
  17. Auto is a few hundred a year cheaper. As I said I got a manual and there is nothing wrong with a manual. If you can get a manual with a good service record for a decent price you are doing well. Good tips on tyres, they are not cheap and give a good indication on how the car is maintained
  18. This is fantastic........ if your animal is not deaf.! I found out that mogul I want away is deaf, I had this turned on near him and he just dozed away and behind the owners house a whole pack of animals they had inside let out screams. brilliant.
