  1. 80k is not much, nothing in fact on a Lexus If this was from a garage I would take it for a drive, this is one hell of a car http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201506044034717?page=1&search-target=usedcars&quicksearch=true&channel=cars&onesearchad=used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew&radius=1500&postcode=so152sn&sort=default&model=ls_460&make=lexus&logcode=p As for the ISF, the whole issue of discs, calipers and tyres, pads etc are the main issue. Paint work can be done in a shop. Even to get entire discs/pads can be got much less than Lexus prices from ebay etc and get a indy to install. I find the ones priced for 20k+ far too much for a 08. keeping in mind what you can get in a ls460 for example.
  2. cant see how they could be illegal? they are only rear stop/tail lights.?
  3. Guys How hard are these to put on? I think the bumper might need to go, I need to access the rear light to get onto the terminals. I also have a lip spoiler to put onto the boot. I think this needs a hair dryer to put on correctly, which I dont have. All I have is a gas solder iron. Thinking I might need to take this to a body shop and cost way more than I expected.
  4. Saw what looked like a dozen by the road side from a trip to Terminal 2 this evening from Southampton, it felt good to be in an is250 knowing the chance of you being on the road side are about the same as bumping into elvis at a filling station.
  5. scroll back a page you wont be able to put on all the SE-L bits, rear blind, memory seats, rain sensors, AFS and HID lights. etc Better to buy a SE-L and get styling kit.
  6. Just go to a indy, get plugs from the USA, absolutely no need to chuck away £650, its not a 500k supercar we are talking here. its about 2 or 3 hours top to do plugs, I would say 2 is more than enough. should cost in or around £100 from a local indy to do plugs if you provide them, the ones near the engine rear at worst.
  7. indeed, a year ago to the date give or take. Its still working, but I broke blood to fix it. as mentioned the flat on the filter lid is motorized, (and the centre one too).
  8. dont seen any point doing this in a petrol, chucking money down the drain. All you need is decent oil change and no harm putting in some fuel treatment like a bg 44k.
  9. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201504282984571?channel=cars&postcode=so152sn&make=alfa_romeo&onesearchad=used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew&search-target=usedcars&radius=1500&model=8c&sort=default&page=2&logcode=p Be good too if they stick a nav into it.....
  10. i am put off German cars due to reliability and turbos. I have no patience for turbos and the faults they can bring up, in this day and age do you still need to leave turbos cool down 5 minutes or so after finishing a drive.? That is absolute pock c0ck! Absolutely could not put up with that nonsense, I love the low maintenance and reliability of the is250, I am eying up a ISF and keeping an eye on them.
  11. lotus and luxury is new to me, why not get a Porsche? they have heritage and luxury. A GT3 would be a stormer
  12. you are putting a lot of faith in an Alfa, have you had them before?
  13. will have to be a very die hard alfa fan to buy them.
  14. I would expect this to cost well north of £40k
  15. 2 turbos in an Alfa... good luck. I will wait a good few years and see how this pans out.
  16. is this bi turbo? what is the cc? gauging where the *** they get 500hp from.
  17. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180721622917?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT these are a perfect fix, i recommend for the price. if they have a 300h of course.. :p
  18. think you got duped, if yours is a 2013 no way should you have rubber mats?, mine is a 08 and I got the lexus ones. I got cheapo ones on ebay a week or so ago for £20 and they are really good. Perfect fit and have heel protection too.
  19. buy a car cover, I have no time for this crap (pardon the pun). If I lived near the cost I would definitely get a cover. I detest birds, I was in Stirling a few years ago and the bloody place was riddled with the ba******.
  20. indeed. for wheel alignment go to a specialist wheel alignment centre, they will load the profile into the hunter tool or whatever system they have and calibrate accordingly.
