  1. how will tax hit these in a few years? they will all be older than a year, so they will take the hit on gas guzzling duty plus £140 standard tax??!
  2. yeah, my thoughts. I think under 20k is reasonable for a 08, I saw a 10 reg in cardiff lexus for <24k . Was sold after a few months.
  3. Say its 2017 how much would it cost to tax a (example) 2010/11 IS250 then, or indeed a 2010/11ISF. After the first year, all these cars will be older than a year by then....
  4. Im talking about buying individual modules, very much doubt you can take off a screen from the entire assembly and refit the whole thing in 40 minutes.
  5. definately grease the slider pins of the front also, i imagine they should be done every 10 or 15k miles perhaps to mitigate this from happening.
  6. see here. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-2nd-gen-2006-2013/450875-lift-points-on-is250.html if the caliper is ready to go on, go for it. And take your time.
  7. I reckon you should take it to a garage tbh, have you reconditioned the caliper?
  8. you will need self levelling lights and washers to pass a MOT, apparently.
  9. thats not what you want to hear. you can buy individual modules for that sat nav on ebay, (rather than the whole unit). just check what p/n of the module is on your system and get the same one. It has a screen module, dvd module and a radio/mark levinson module. It a big job but better than paying 2k, you need to find out which module is broken of course., could be the display part.
  10. dont see how 245hp over 205hp or whatever would make any difference. Mine only grinded for the first early miles on them, 5 or 10 miles or so. If I thought they would be like an angle grinder I would not have got them.
  11. mine are grooved and vented and have no problems, only great stopping power. If you bed them in properly and install them they should be fine. certainly no grinding noises on mine.
  12. Thats cleaner than most peoples kitchen tables :eerrrmm: :outforcount:
  13. doubt 85 quid would get you much from a detailers.....!
  14. I would keep the Rx, getting a 220d over that is insanity. The mpg of the is250 is fine, I have one over a year and I am not begging for money by the footpath to get by..! The mpg in these are way exaggerated. Around town you will get mid to late 20s and on long motorway runs you will get 30s and high 30s. The reliability of the 250 far surpasses any extra mpg you 'might' get out of the 220d as its not all that economical in the first place.
  15. they are MTEC discs and yellowstuff pads. If you want to do wheels proper it will cost a bit more but you get what you pay for.
  16. paint yours? Mine are much better than what they did look like, they also repel dust much better but that could be due to the pads and discs
  17. got one of these myself yesterday, did not even realise it was missing -- always wondered what the hooks were for.! It will stop all stuff from falling over at least.
  18. u can get calipers for not too expensive prices on line, away from Lexus i mean.
  19. guys need to get bumper off, I am sure this light is legal. Cant see why not. Would make the car more safe if anything. How does the bumper go off or can 1 person do it.. (ie me..!). If so I might give it a gander, else I need take some place. cheers
  20. maybe a bad comparison :p It all depends on the condition of the car at the end of the day.
