  1. if you find running costs on a IS250 hefty go buy a Toyota prius or something tbh, any car with a 6 pot engine is going to be relatively thirsty. I got a 3.0 Subaru lately, I already knew what I was getting into re: fuel consumption, it likes the drop of petrol but then again I don't want a prius and take a dim view of fuel consumption mpg that starts with a 2.
  2. Ive got another Japanese car, not a Lexus is250, but it has all wheel drive and ca 245bhp. Legacy 3.0 R SpecB.
  3. I saw a FSPORT exhaust for sale from the USA while i had my 250. I am sure you can get an exhaust for resonable-ish costs.
  4. I would buy one had i over 20k in my pocket, I would want a 2010+ year I had a dreadful experience with a CL55 AMG, a ISF is relatively maintenance free, as long as the service intervals have been looked after and the car checks out its a no brainer. I would expect more than £120 for a tyre, I paid more than that for a rear tyre on my old IS250
  5. I dont have a ISF but do know they are staggered and do know they will set you back a good bit for 4.
  6. I used a dealer too mind you, albeit not a main lexus.
  7. buying a car used now seem to have got a whole lot worse, have first hand experience.
  8. Yeah, I would not hesitate to get a F, had I a spare 20k. Economy on that is of no concern. Economy on the CL55 was slightly worrying.....
  9. nah. lol i could have bought it, actually if it did go for that price it was a bargain. I am looking at a 3.0R Subaru, (manual. :p). I have other commitments so dont want to spend too much on a car.
  10. I 'sold' that Merc back to where it came from, got my money back. circa 4k of work was required. Not what I was sold lets say.
  11. why are we even talking reliability, The reliability of Lexus embarrasses German cars. I took a punt on an incredible weapon that is a CL55 and it totally backfired. Even Lexus cars like LS400s are incredible and probably even now many of them are still ticking along with no drama after all them years.
  12. i think mainly cost savings, aside from electric moving steering column, the adaptive HIDs were given the boot also. Its not just Lexus, the CL55 I had (for a few weeks!) had a motorized rear view mirror (memory), later models did not have this i think someone said.
  13. I need a car.. this seems, too cheap? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2010-Lexus-IS-250-F-SPORT-AUTO-BLACK-/252375635942?hash=item3ac2c297e6:g:xksAAOSwRH5XJyUa
  14. yellow stuff pads are quite different from OEM, Good luck in having an accident and getting an assessor see them!
  15. I notified my insurance for changing discs and pads. They are not OEM
  16. Not sure why people are making a deal of the spark plug change, they are not very dear to get done, if you use a reputable indy that is. Other than that the Lexus is250 is probably the most reliable car I ever owned. Tyres can be expensive (assuming you dont use ditch finders).
  17. Yellow stuff pads will stop the car a heck of a lot faster. Ain't cheap however.
  18. Mb owners are stuck up. I found serious issues with the car which were not disclosed to me at pos. I love lexus. I took a punt on a 500bph car and it never worked out. I'll move on...to another Japanese car
