  1. I've looked at prices nearby. BP 173.9 Western Garage Esso 299.0P Winterbourne Bristol.. Yikes
  2. I agree, they can charge what they like, can't they. Nearest Costco to me are in Southampton and I'm not going to fill up there much as it's only so often I go there, Bristol has no fuel
  3. One of the good things about a Lexus barge is you are insulated from the crap going on in the outside world, the higher up the barge the more 'presidential' the feeling. Its why I wouldn’t really hesitate to get a LS460 but I heard bad things about that ABS pump – Until my body packs in with 3 pedals it won’t happen yet however
  4. With Costco you need to be careful as you can very easily go nuts shopping, you need a Clear idea of what you need... Ie no 65 inch OLED TV and no freezer with integrated ice unit and display panel. I only ever use E5 and never ever get E10, this is going back to my Lexus days. The higher octane fuel runs better, throttle response is better and generally speaking the car just shifts better and doesn't have any issues whatsoever, my Subaru is moving into 140k miles and you need to pop the bonnet to hear it on idle.
  5. Didn't know Sains did E5, Costco membership is good without the petrol tbh, we probably fill out the boot every couple of months. Shopping can get rather expensive there however so try not go too much
  6. Costco has E5 also, which could be a draw - not sure if Sainsburys do
  7. I dont know if I will be brave enough to get 100 miles but I am good for at least 60 miles when it does come on, who knows maybe 100. I know this because there is a 65L tank and when you do brim it when the light is on there is still a good chunk left over, I only put in 50ish litres so over 10L reserve or so
  8. That orange light is annoying me again - the last fill up 30/9 cost me £95.48, £1.689/L not been that 'low' since May
  9. My views on the price of diesel seems to correlate with the apps I use to tell me the price of fuel in England, so not just my views but the views of the people in England who actually update fuel prices each time they pay a visit at a pump so apps get the latest price - that view has been that diesel has always been more expensive than petrol and for quite some time at that maybe not the gulf we see now but it was always a bit extra
  10. My problem with these experts is that they are paid off to sprout whatever nonsense drivel they want you to know but it's not PC to go against these narratives nowadays because there is a tin foil hat on your head if you do so - if you look at COVID, net zero and the energy crisis war. Way too much happening here for it to be a coincidence and the subsequent impact we are seeing to the economy and stocks is a direct result of this
  11. I don't know about Google, only from my visits to the dozens of shell outlets I have frequented in the previous years past, I always seem to notice diesel more expensive but took no notice as I never use it, even using the diesel fuel pump on a hire car once was an unpleasant experience, smelly and dirty. Going back to Japan, and my previous comments. It's rank diesel and industrial fuels that are polluting the air, it's why Tokyo's air is so much better than other mega cities. Diesel is a nasty fuel, cancerous at that and lying governments said this stuff that belches out black soot is great for the environment and everyone went to buy them
  12. Diesel exists outside of Russia - < 13% of oil and petroleum from Russia ends up in the UK.
  13. Anywhere I ever visited - which is quite frequent,i always seem to remember diesel is more expensive - this is mainly SE England so it could be a regional thing, who the heck knows as with fuel prices anything goes downoad rhw petrol app and comare petrol and diesel, diesel is always marked up in cost here anyway - *had a look at Liverpool and Manchester and petrol cheaper, same as down here - 20p or so per litre
  14. Shorting out a relay is not a good idea, you could have done more damage - I would look for a wiring diagram without that you will be just trying all matter of things without knowing what you are doing - I would look at a dodge earth or grounding point, it doesnt look like the battery has been the issue at all.
  15. Joe Biden said the vaccines cure covid 19 -- from sickness, infection and death none the less -he probably won’t remember saying it now but he did. We have been fed lies upon lies about covid, so much so that its next to impossible to interpret the data but sufficient to say you probably believe the 'experts' when they said 3 thousand people in England died from the summer weather - they will no doubt blame the thousand plus excess deaths we are seeing from a new wave, or the cold weather, whichever comes first. The data I posted, which was from the CDC and removed said that the flu vaccine was responsible for 38 deaths a year from 1996 to 2021 - Covid vaccines 4812 deaths in six months. Now, back to the excess deaths of 1 thousand plus a week..
  16. Similar to the fuel crisis here that seemed to go on forever here but I had no trouble getting petrol, remove the scaremongering, idiots filling up detergent bottles and what not and you will find it was only made worse by the sheep mentality that we first seen during the hoarding crisis, pasta and bogroll and canned goods – the world is ending. Fuel shortages prompted by strikes are affecting around one in five gas stations in France as of Oct. 8. According to the Energy Ministry, while most fuel stations are operating as normal at least 19 percent of fuel stations were facing shortages of at least one type of fuel This crisis is because of the French Government -- The Government, isn’t it always…
  17. Diesel has always been more expensive over petrol tbf, maybe not almost 30p but it was always 15p or so more expensive /L
  18. More scaremongering and from Sky – all the main news channels are the same, which is why GB news has a more balanced view point I bet if I drove to France, I would have no trouble getting petrol – believing everything you read from experts paid off has its downsides but you are too proud to suggest for one moment that its even possible you are getting played here
  19. ‘Experts’ are the people you have been reading about since way back in 2019 with headline news - they are NGOs funded by third parties so the only narrative you will hear is information they WANT you to know - they won’t say combustion engine cars in the UK contribute less than 1 percent of emissions worldwide – oh no, that is not what they are about. The net zero nonsense is nothing more than drivel used to accelerate the demise of the combustion engine car and also accelerate grown of EVs. They have been telling us 3 thousand died from the summer weather also - propaganda is all that is wrong with the world right now The eco mob types are just plain dumb, mostly jobless and just playing along with what they are told
  20. Wife had cat from her Jazz taken a few years ago - in front of her hotel where she worked and on CCTV, you could even see the Honda getting lifted up and down again a few minutes later and a Passat speeding off - but the plod of course does nothing. They phone back a few months later telling me we were at the hotel and the footage is gone, duh Subaru has 3 cats and like the LS400 not easy to take off, too low down on the ground and way too much faff for scum, you can’t get OEM ones anymore and if you did, they would cost thousands and aftermarket ones have a tendency to send bits into the engine and destroy it.
  21. Tailgaitging camera could be the end of the 'white van'
  22. Ignore is good - keep listening to the 'experts' they will look after you and make sure your net zero objectives are met 👍
  23. You are not allowed say nothing are you - that’s Irony for you! why else has my CDC data been deleted - doesn’t fit the agenda does it - and it was from an official source, not something I mashed up on microsoft powerpoint - but its doesnt matter one bit. Everything is propaganda brainwashing B.S. Covid 19, Net Zero and the Energy war. 3 thousand deaths in the summer attributed to the heatwave (says experts) I guess the thousand plus excess deaths we see each week now are from the autumn weather. It’s never been easier to make mugs of folks like you - the news outlets making a killing from third party funding
  24. You went to heap of trouble to type all that - like I said many a time - folks like you will never have your opinion changed - if experts told you drive backwards to work to save net zero things you probably would And there is zero point talking Electronics as you haven’t a clue, I suggest you meet some Engineers at JLR, Audi or Mercedes who will confirm that cars of now and the future have little to nothing in common with older cars - no point in talking about this in a Lexus forum to someone like you EVs are catastrophic for the planet, but wasn’t it you who said we can make batteries in some man-made island away from populated cities - that is a game changer that Politicians are never on your side, look at covid - there is an inquiry now I believe, all that spurious data was hogwash – third party’s telling lies upon lies to feed the pharmaceutical industry - so when they go banning perfectly reliable combustion engine cars which have been reliably made since the 1800s over EVs that nobody can afford I would start to ask some questions, you don’t even realise that ICE cars are not even main contributors to global greenhouse warming, in England the contribution is < 1% of all greenhouse gases - but its ok we can spunk £60k on a EV to get net zero compliant - sounds wonderful idea that, where do I sign up. Ask questions and don’t get your answers from someone who is paid off by a third parties – the smartest people always question everything
