I think they are a scam, end of story - was I still driving my IS250 I would be of exactly the same opinion and I would have a IS250 over any EV that costs £30-40k, they can be got for a fraction of that Nobody can afford EVs- they are part of the dity deeds going on with the G20 I suggest you have a look at the Summit meeting from last month - its all in black and white, you just need to translate alll the suger coated cryptic words now and again
-
It depends on the AWD system used as they are not all the same the best are Subaru and Audi - the ones with proper AWD setup - I could put up more videos but would just hack off H3XME but essentially look on YT for AWD tests on rollers, where different cars are put under a series of tests that will explain it more than I ever would and now factor that situation in snow. I got around with summer tyres during the beast from the east. The point I am making is how uselss EVs are in comparison, they brag about 0g/km so you are essentially paying all this money to be 'compliant' to net zero
-
My choice of car is irrelevant but superior to the EV junk available. To tell you how good the Subaru is in snow have a look at this - this is snow in inches. I got an email just now from Vauxhall so had a peep at the top of the line corsa range - 217 miles (my guess is that is travelling at 40mph) Top speed 93mph Cost £33,735 scam scam scam

I can opt in to a EV at work, I get a sizable discount but as already said I would need a hole in my head to spend over 300 a month on a Peugeot e 208, that's pretty cheap apparently. Swapping that thing for a Subaru, no chance whatsoever. Over 2 years that is around £8k down the pan. What benefit is that for me? £8k would get a pretty decent petrol car that would outperform that Peugeot and after two years it's mine to keep

Companies, directors and high heeled exec's are not average tax payers. Unfortunately the latter are also involved in the mess aren't they and need to manage as best they can, which will most likely see them unable to get on the road at all in the future and we are even seeing it happen now, people filling up fuel without paying. Wake up folks

Your brain works in a different way than mine, a decade old V8 can get a higher range than a 60k electric vehicle, it's useful in the winter too. Business companies like mine have incentives to lease vehicles out to employees, they are just going along with the totalitarian lies by the gov it doesn't mean they are a sound financial decision and it leaves a void for the average person who's not in a position to lease out a EV with ones company to be unable to afford that in the first place - now they can get by with what they are driving but it won't always be like this. Wage's are at an all-time low and cost of living is at an all time high yet them snakes in the gov expect someone to spend 500 a month or whatever on a EV because they are told it's the way forward. This is the pathway that govs are creating for the future, of you ignored everything you read you would be better off

The experts are not saying this narrative however, which is why my opinion is that EVs are used as a controlling mechanism to get people off the road. I've said more than a few times that cars themselves aren't the issue with climate change, manufacturing is the bigger and ironically all the EVs will only make this worse in the long run since the carbon footprint of a single EV is far worse than a combustion engine car. If govs said that electric cars are useful and worthy of consideration if you live in the city that would make some sense but banning of all combustion engine cars worldwide clearly has evil at work - all these useless ULEZ zones will also increase. It's going to be getting more and more challenging for driving until some will just probably give up entirely what with the extra cost and expenses of needed a 50k EV to be compliant.
-
I very much doubt that the folks getting EVs are aware of all these issues, they certainly aren't told by sales reps - I know because it's my skill set but not everyone has knowledge like that. Governments said they are green, which is garbage as they have batteries weighing half a tonne per each car or so so how people think they have green credentials is beyond me

A smashed rib must hurt like hell, I've always wondered about how they heal and if it's like actually properly broken do they operate or just leave it?!. Batteries degrade in winter, I've used Maccor test equipment in my previous roles, we had chambers to set temperature etc. What's worse is you cannot fast charge and current is restricted in cold weather. Below 5C charge current should be reduced, at 0C ideally no charging at all, lithium plating effects take hold and the outcome of that could be a disaster So yeah good luck to the EV owners, guess that the experts never said that - I've had a quick look at a datasheet and it's around 15 percent capacity loss at 0C over 25C.

A scam, all EVs seem to have a range of 200-300 miles - under laboratory conditions. £50-60k+ for the privilege. There is so much noise going on in the background that people are not smarting up to its alarming, like the study in Oxford where they are rolling out 15-minute travel zones where you can only use your car 100 a times year. Net zero is to get the affluent over indulgent and over populated western world off the road and they needed a Getty images energy war to go about it The WEF have hijacked the G20 countries to such an extent nobody even knows, which is the entire plan. Interest rates going up every 5 weeks – the Bank of England are part of the plan. I would really like that Jaguar but it’s not happening as long as I have this in the driveway

You can get plenty cars on finance but you can own them after 3/4 odd years in many a case, electric cars costing 60k+ or whatever are out of the reach of 90% of people hence why I said Banks and also Automotive manufacturers will love them, repairs etc are out of scope to almost everyone and the manufacturer will have freedom to do as they wish, including charge you for enabling features and whatever else they wish and all repairs, ICE cars could be repaired by anyone - I'm not even a mechanic and done most of the service on my car myself
-
When people get a bike and realise EVs are too much trouble than they are worth maybe - the 'goals' that govs have outlined for 2030 look delightful on paper but in reality, they exist to perpetuate a charade. Their effect is to provide top-cover, while the regime set in place their globalist agenda. Any initiative that ties to one or more of these goals, can carve out a sizeable chunk of funding. These broad goals direct the flow of finance, and it all makes more sense when you see that as the driving force I think EVs are another controlling mechanisim to get people off the road and have more control of the ones driving them, its only 2022 but the signs are already there. Controlling ones speed will be routine when EVs are everywhere, once you enter speed restricted zones the car can have its speed controlled by beacons, relays or such the gov want to install on Motorways or town and cities, they will in effect have more control of the car than whoever is driving it
-
Well yes, but like I said its not doing the rest of the country who are not getting company cars much good is it - i could get a EV at work but paying £300 a month ish for a Peugeot e208 makes zero financial sense to me, that is probably much cheaper than you would pay were you not getting company perks, so its probably £400 a month plus for others
-
My company are big into EVs, they have taken up an entire parking lot with chargers, I would take a photo but it would be naughty and might land me in trouble but its a very sizable space and most of it is pretty vacant, I only see about 10 cars there at the moment which tells its own story in a place with 1k plus employees - but if companies are throwing all the money at this stuff and its not costing anyone money thats completely different from the layman who needs a car to go from A to B without forking out £40k in the process
-
I look at cars like the Legendary LS400, with a 3/4 decade+ lifespan, probably more, will an EV last this long? no chance, batteries degrade the minute you take it from the glistening showroom – all the fast charging really impacts the longevity also - add the cold weather too – I am an Engineer remember, I have first hand experience with this. Cars like that Lexus were designed from the ground up to last forever, EVs are not made with this goal - all the wiff waff we are told is just the goody stuff they want us to know but really when I see Peugeot e208s and Vauxhall Corsa’s costing £40k it’s a pretty clear indication it’s not for me. You could buy a used Corsa petrol banger for £3k and it would serve probably better
-
For the moment yes, but the plans for 2030 and beyond are already starting so you need to think about a decade from now, most current ICE cars will be in a state of disrepair and no new ones will be available - thats why the drive to EVs is more nanny state and less climate change. I would get a V8 if I had space for it, I cant help think how nice a Jag XK RS would be with the 4.2 supercharged lump, crazy amount of car for that quality

There was a recent meeting in Bali, Nov 15th,16th the powerful G20 bods discussing plans for the future - without going into too much detail the summary is this Global governance, with centralized coordination and control of your money, food, energy, and health - in other words a direct route to totalitarianism. Its not looking good so enjoy these 6 cylinder cars while you can in these coming years - keep on top of your servicing! [G20 Members: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the European Union. Spain is also invited as a permanent guest]

Boris banned ICE cars over a 2 minute ish ramble with C19 a neat distraction without even a referendum, but there wasn’t a referendum anywhere in the world was there so I wouldn’t be holding my breath on the gov to do anything about this situation. It will be interesting to see how gov’s deal with ICE cars in the coming years and how they eventually kill them off – assuming that is what they wish to do Maybe increase the water content - sorry ethanol in gasoline Increase VED more until people can’t afford, Singapore, HK and other countries have ridiculous fees to get a car on the road but they were always like that for a long time, in other words car ownership is out of reach but to the most well off. Hike duty at the pumps, they are already doing a good job hmmm
