    Parked my car as usual at work this morning and locked it, got a phone call from someone in the depot (I'm a bus driver) telling me all four windows are down on my car, very strange, anyone got any idea what could have caused this to happen? Worst of all it was raining quite heavy as well so seats are now soaking wet.

    Even though not your fault you can bet your renewal premium will go up, apparently if you are involved in an accident even though you were not at fault you will be considered a higher risk

    Whilst my car was in for some other work to be done recently Lexus did a basic free all over check and it was mentioned on the report that I had had slight play in the water pump Car is an 2008 is250 with only 18,000 miles on the clock

    Started this post with a simple question, never expected so many in depth replies,,,,,, so how do you achieve the best 0-60 time? Option 1,2 or 3

    Should I over inflate the tyres to cut down on friction?And strip out the interior, oh and remove the spare wheel?

    I am wondering how you achieve the best 0-60 time in an is250, Option 1 sport mode manually changing gear Option 2 auto mode with PWR switch on Option 3 just leaving in full auto mode,,,,,, don't think there are any other options are there?

    I used Shell V power religiously over a long period of time in my previous car (Honda civic type R , FN2) and I don't think it made any difference whatsoever apart from costing me more. Personally I think if you think it does then it's just psychological, Just my opinion

    Just wondered if other forum members left this switched on all the time, I have been experimenting leaving it on lately and find it a much better driving experience, also wondering if leaving it on all the time would have any adverse effects, apart from using more fuel.

    Carl911, no harm in trying, mine is a 2008 with 15,500 mls so it's a different scenario, I don't know why mine was done under warranty, maybe goodwill gesture as previously mentioned or because of the low mileage, but just glad they did.

    Took my 2008 is250 in to main dealer today to have a long overdue recall job done, whilst it was there I asked them to check my brake calipers as it is a known problem on the car. When I went to collect it I was told one of the rear calipers was in fact seized, this was not showing to be a problem when driving and I was unaware of it, well bottom line is they said they would replace it free of charge,,,most surprised as the car is eight years old, not complaining mind. Would have cost £175

    And, who did you use for this service?Still waiting. I haven't used "this" service as I only needed to replace one key (£330 at dealers) My interest in this post was the fact that it was done so cheaply, as I was told if you had lost both keys the cost could have been £2000

    Just to recap then (because this is not what I expected) you lost both keys and was able to to get one new key programmed for £220

    Don't know if it's true or not but I was told it would cost about £2000 if you've lost both keys. Fact or fiction?

    I replaced one of mine and it cost a total of £330, this price is for the key itself and the programming needed, if you've not got any key then I would definitely sit down.

    Simple question, is there any sound system upgrade possibilities for the is250?,,,,I know I can replace it with the Mark Levinson system but was not thinking of going down that route.
