I couldn't believe it! Three frontline Nurses describing what conditions are like in Wards to the BBC 6.00am News, looking as though they had only been provided with one Seat to sit on, rubbing shoulders and the taller guy trying to lean in as the female in the centre spoke to Camera. Literally shoulder to shoulder and only the centre Nurse spoke! Ruined an important update of the situation but we thank them for all the fantastic work they are doing. BBC organised the interview, presumably! Shame on BBC. What message did it send?

LS430 2002 miss fire under load , revs limit

No EF12 fuse under the bonnet. Will replace both upstream 02 sensors and found this which I'm hoping will match the existing plate welded 02 sensor which for some reason Mk 2 Cars have, but only upstream, and thereby save me a shedload of money. Amayama price for one €256.11 + postage + Import tax, etc.. Fortunately, I have two Toyota replacements from somewhere which cost less than £35 if I recall correctly. Fingers crossed that the bolt holes match. I'm emailing to get the measurements. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Oxygen-sensor-adaptor-for-toyota-mr2-celica-gt4-3SGTE-kit-car-hotrod-o2-lambda/372918667684?hash=item56d3af49a4:g:DJsAAOSwDnpeIuR3 -
LS430 2002 miss fire under load , revs limit

Just re-reading this thread. 7.5amp EF12 fuse blown. Not too sure if same could apply to the LS400 ? I found below thread but couldn't determine exactly what EF12 did or its location. Can't believe I've been driving for six years with a blown fuse, but......be great if that is all my problem or highlights a Sensor issue. Wonder if this thread can be moved to current issues. I rarely look at the "specific Engine related" threads. Don't know why but am I alone on this? Hoping for a bit more info/help before I struggle to see under the Car or the fusebox. Rupert? SOS please email me direct if you prefer. Thanks https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=lexus+ls430+fuse+ef12&view=detail&mid=AF48B16449E853FBE19BAF48B16449E853FBE19B&FORM=VIRE -

Yawn! 4.25am - Mr Wu's gift to the World is disturbing my sleep as much as Brexit did Found this thread and may help sort my Car problem. Same sort of scenario. Pulling away on kickdown or trying to overtake at 70mph on a Hill under load, car coughs and I fall back. So could be chafing cable or Knock sensor. I wonder if the fault resurfaced after this. No fault codes. Q. I may be driving on Econ and perhaps I should be on Pwr. Tend not to like seeing that damn green light on the screen. Could it be that the Car has a rev limiter when on Econ setting which affects Kickdown and top speed? Q. Bank 2 is that Manifold side of the Cat/s or behind the Cat/s? Drivers or passenger side on LS400? The Brain's not focusing too clearly right now. -
Perhaps, I repeat Perhaps, this one in Gt Yarmouth may be of interest to you Pete. Sounds Ok but after reading the various issues that one guy had with the 460 (ran into pages and pages) and that mention of £4k for a part, I think I should not give any further consideration to that model. Not a pipe dream, but I don't need a money pit, so best stick with my LS400. Its the 7 year itch and a leaky Sun roof thats made my mind wander to either a 430 or perhaps a 460. Don't go there my brain keeps telling me. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS-LS-460-SE-L-F-S-H-JUST-VALETED-NEW-TYRES-ALL-ROUND-LONG-MOT/174215952378?hash=item28901477fa:g:b~QAAOSwIlBeZ6SF

I put this link in a thread a few years back. Didn't try it myslf but may be a good idea for the doors although there is no sign of rotting out - yet. Not like on all my previous Mercedes which were terrible for this. Fact is that the rubber by the rear Windows is getting rather old and cracking thereby letting perhaps more than a little water to enter. Daresay can buy new rubber but at what cost and haivng to remvoe the door cards etc is a pain. Offside rear door handle is a bit stiff and can't lower the window completely to apply any oil. Spring/Summer - another maybe! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHMpJebGx_g&utm_source=LexusOwnersClubUK&utm_medium=ForumLinks

Update. Didn't find any tube inside the Car Boot but found what I thought must be an outflow pipe under the rear side bumper panel. Poked my flexible net cable in and it went quite a long distance until it came to a stop. Couldn't see it in the Sun Roof but thought now for some water and a bit of poking. What happened when I added the water to the Sun Roof was that water did appear out under the Car nearby, but not a drop came out of the black pipe! Must have been dislodged at some time.?? There is no black pipe under the nearside but the water did flow out by what looks like the Boot vent panel. Not a pretty picture of the underside of the car - come the Summer - perhaps! Be miffed if it stll leaks.

Sorry I forgot your advice here. The old grey matter phased out at the mo. Started to remove the clutter from the boot. Always carry far too much in the way of tools etc. Never need them. It has always worried me that it looks a bit rusty inside the car at the base of the rear wheel arch where there is a Grommet for no apparant purpose, nearside. Not sure I totally follow your explanation but will pull away the rear panel and perhaps all will be revealed.

Poured down yesterday and still getting water in at the Sun Roof. I can't see where the rear holes are located? Is it a question of putting the Sun Roof tilt mechaisim up or are they visible with the Sun roof just as far back as possible? Looked but still can't see any rear holes. Fronts blow down OK and trickle from the metal sill panel join. Can't feel any actual round hole. Do I need to look again? The knees don't like it! Thanks

Rear Nearside Hub Bush for my '93 not now being sold by jap spares. Yet to the one I bought (last one?) fitted but will be later this month. Can't obtain front Brake back plates from anywhere and they do start to break down. Not happy to not have a back plate though some people are.

LS400 95 on Mintex Discs and pads - AVOID
runsgrateasanut replied to Slobbo's topic in Brakes & Suspension
Had Mintex Discs (rear Drilled + Front undrilled) and Mintex Brake pads front and rear since April 2014. Rock solid performance. Stop me on a sixpence. Do have Goodrich wirewound Hose to each. Must be 20k miles at least since changed. Bought a set of OE Lexus front pads that I thought might come in handy three years ago but sat in a drawer with no sign I'll ever need them. Fantastic product so don't knock them. Its people who fail to clean the hub properly before fitting and who also fail to slowly let the parts bed in that causes issues. Too many people can't wait to feel the bite as soon as fitted and then complain about warped discs and judder after a short while. -
Not sure I've seen any tubes in the boot but will have to check that out. Couldn't see rear holes in the sunroof but as I missed the front ones, I'll search again. On a different topic completely, I thought of you Malcolm, as might be interested to see this Car for sale. Almost identical to the Lexus in shape with exception of front bumper shape. A bargain for someone with space and enthusiasm to fix. The wheels alone look worth the cash and I assume they would fit a LS400. ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-LEGEND-1999-VReg-3-5-V6-AUTO-148000mls-MoT-July-2020-Drives-well-Needs-TLC/254518625665?hash=item3b427e0581:g:vb4AAOSwygFeWE2O

Thanks Malc, Couldn't find them at first. Easier to see when the front aero strip is down. Doh! Managed a piece of two foot copper wire and a half a cup of water could see the water dripping under the door area. Not flowing quite as fast as I’d like but having possibly cleared a blockage it will no doubt improve. Can’t have condensation from dampness in the ‘ole Girl. Might try a bit of tubing with a mouth full of water to blow any residue out. Another day!

Never had it before, but the Car had dampness in the Drivers Sun shade and lining after a night of heavy rain. Checked open / close and cleaned verdigree off all round, but similar after a second night having dried out Fridays with towelling. Anyone have a diagram of the drainage points? Looked very clean and couldn't see any water lying in the channels area, but.....?? Thanks

In my older Car, I used to get a knocking noise because the Brake disc back plate was heavily corroded and starting to break up and would flap at times. No longer available to purchase I have had to wire it to the Caliper onto a non moving part. Difficult job to sort, and so I'll put some glassfibre on to the back at some time to strengthen - as a long term temp measure!
