  1. With the now common optitron ( I think that's how it's spelt ) display's, it gives you a false feeling your lights are on when in fact they are not. This is why I leave mine on Auto & agree they should be mandatory.
  2. Surely you'd only want it to record with ignition on??
  3. Think I'll them as OEM for now. Not too sure if changing will make make much difference & how long they will last. Appreciate all the feedback though. Thanks.
  4. Your beam with Xenon headlamps is controlled via a couple of factors:- Self leveling system is operational Load being carried Self leveling is mandatory on Xenon ( HID ) and operates via sensors on suspension. Those sensors detect vehicle weight ratio at front/rear and adjust headlamps to prevent glare to oncoming vehicles. Therefore, if you have weight in rear of car which raises front, system will compensate by lowering headlamp beam. Do you have anything weighty in rear of car? Failing this, if you bought from Lexus dealer, it would have a 1 year warranty so take it back & ask them to check Auto leveling system. Just as a final check though, take off auto and turn on manually to see if this makes any difference.
  5. Was wondering if upgrading headlamp bulbs would be of any benefit ( not HID ). Normal dipped beam is not as clear as I would have liked, so been looking to upgrade to white light type. Has anyone done this & if so what did you use? Also, not sure if replacement bulbs are as durable as OEM. Decent replacements are around £40-£80.
  6. With the colder weather setting in & this being my first winter in the CT, was wondering if anyone had any good tips on driving a Hybrid in ice & snow? I would imagine ECO mode would be best as it slows down throttle response, therefore should prevent wheel spin. Anyone with any tips ( Do's & Don'ts ) from last winter??
