  1. Right guys,so

everyone is pushing me to walk away,

if the dealer is not keen to be rpesentable, and is not doing what I want them to do, then why bother??

    I ll tell you why:

it s a 2011, SE I, 30000 miles, sunroof, ICE pack, front and rear under the spoiler metallic supports and with a traction hinge : just what I am looking for, except for a very worn out interior

so before I go any further give me an estimate everyone,

just that I can see If I am seeing this a good bargain or am i just falling for the buy with blind eyes,

I promise I will tell you the final price and negotiations in detail in the follow...

  2. I see you are in Yorkshire. If the car is at Lexus Bradford, I would either speak to Jason Gregory or just walk away because the manager and other sales staff are awful and WILL NOT sort anything out. Leeds is another story, they are very very good!

what about the Sheffield dealer? how good are they?I must say without mentioning names I felt that I am being pushed out of the deal....getting differnet vibes I must say

  3. well i totally agree,

I am hunting for the right car for the last three months, until i found this one with the extras that i am looking for, the only worry is the scruffiness on the inside, but the drive is as cool as you could get, i feel i am getting a good deal out of it, but wonder whether i am sucked into it all, that s why i am seeking other people's opinion about how to deal with the approved lexus guys...

    thanks for the advice

  4. as above get it on the order form

and yes it can all be sorted but depends on how they repair it if it lasts, some garages may replace damaged trim, others may repair

and cleaning is only as good as the valet, check the cars, best places to look, inside door pockets, under seats, lift seats if possible, under the boot carpet, if theres dirt in these , the valet aint up to scratch,

only pay a deposit £500 tops

and if its not up to standard you expect when you go to collect the car, tell them to sort it out and you will be back in 4 hours and expect the tank to be filled, dont threaten, or shout, just tell them you expected so much more from a lexus dealer

any good garage, and lexus especially should be able to get the car upto a standard you expect without too many problems

    thanks for the advice,

one last thing, when i first saw the car the Battery was dead, they jump started it and since then it was ok, is the one year warranty provided by lexus dealer include the Battery? or is it only 3 months(as per the agent?)just foreseeing trouble with the Battery and don t want to get stuck with it...

  5. guys, in the process of buying an approved used 2011 model,

the thing is that the interior has a few problems: small punctures in the leather for the glove compartment, signs of dirt around seat belts and front seats,

I was promised that all this will be well changed/cleaned to as good as almost new standard before me driving away,

now this is an approved Lexus dealer,

should i trust them to do it, or can it all be pimp up talk to sell the car?

the reason I am asking is they want me to pay the deposit beforehand so that they can start off with their prepping, at least that is their argument.

should i trust them and pay in advance or should i just put my foot down and pay when all is sorted the way i want

has anyone been through a similar situation, any cons that i should expect ?

this is an approved Lexus dealer at the end of the day...

    thank you all in advance

  6. hello everyone,

I am new to this club, and was hoping for some genuine advice:

I am buying an approved used RX 450h 2011,

the thing is the interior leather (ivory leather) and the seat belts are quite dirty, and was promised that this will all be cleaned up by the dealer before I pick up the car,(of course the Supagard included)

as well as a bit of ruined plastics in the boot(looked like dog chewing to me..)

Is there a specific standard i should not accept anything lower than??

and do I have the right to ask and replace parts of the leather on seats or seat belts if they are still that bad????

it s a good price for the car, but wonder if i might be just accepting less than what I should get out of approved used with that much money, just because I fell for the car....

    thank you all in advance
