thank you for your reply. You say after periods of heavy sustain breaking, well i don't do all that much mileage maybe 5 to 7 thousand miles a year.i don't drive fast or use heavy braking really, so would that be a reason for not going for the full service?
Thank you for your time

hi
i think the Aux socket only came in with the RX450 in 2009 or 2010.

hello
have no fear, as soon as you stick the heater on the engine will come on if the car thinks it needs to, until it senses it's no longer needed.
Also the engine will come in at any time should the computers think the batteries need charging.

hello
i am considering which Essential service to go for on my 07 RX400h and i can see on the Essential Major service sheet on the website, it says they change the brake fluid which on the Minor service they dont.
I was wondering, as in all the cars i have ever owned through the years i have never had the brake fluid changed. Not even in the old Lexus IS200 that i had for 8 years was it ever changed.
Is it worth having the extra level of service for this?
many thanks
Jason

Hi. I find it no worse than any other car. You get used to it in no time

Hello i've had mine for 2 years, mine is an rx400h, before that i had and i s 200 for 8 years and take it from me. The cars have excellent build quality and reliability is excellent . They're not cheap but as the guy before said he you have to pay for quality. i take mine to have a service once a year at the lexus birmingham, i use the essential service for cars that are not new and that has done me well for the past couple of years. It's a really excellent car and i can't see any trouble in towing so just go ahead and get one and you'll never regret it.

Hello. My RX400h is 7 years old and I have the essential intermediate service one year, then the essential full service the next. This year I had the intermediate one at £175. This seems to do the trick for me, as mine's not a new car.

Hello i don't see why not i've got an rx 400h myself and i've just started it up as normal so it says :ready , on the display and just set the blowers on for a little while. i can't see any problem there like most cars. I wouldn't go leaving it unattended with the keys in. Enjoy

Yes. I have a 400h , and it can be altered on that, so I'm sure the newer 450 will be able to do it.

Hello. This year I had to reduce my windscreen due to a chip that turned in to a crack. My insurance company called the AA windscreen people . I made sure they had the right screen before they came, as my RX has rain sensors. They came and did a great job.

Hello i have a RX400h not a RX450 but if you're talking about the centre console Battery display then mine when it's almost charged has the blue bars and when its fully charged it shows green. But i don't look at it all that often because it's distracting.
Hope that helps

Hello
It seems to come from the pedal itself

Hello, I have had my RX 400h for 18 months. It's a fantastic car.
But in last few days a squeak can be heard when I slightly press down the brake pedal and I wondered if anyone can throw any light on it.
It started shortly after I pulled away from an island and felt either the antilocks or the four wheel drive come on.
Thanks
Jason

Hello. I think a lot of it is down to how heavy your right foot is. I have an RX 400h and I mostly get 35mpg round town and 38 mpg on the motorway. 450 figures are probably near on accurate of you are not too heavy footed.

Hi. Just my two pence, but did William say had had an rx300? That's not hybrid. Is it not?

Hello
was just wondering if the RX450h sat nav is now hard disk? And is so, how is it updated and does it cost to update?
My 400h is DVD based.
thanks

hello all
I am considering having a hoist installed in the back of my RX400h 2007 to make it easy to get my disability scooter out and in.
Do i need to bear in mind anything technical, as i'm told the hoist is run off the cars 12 volt Battery?
thanks in advance
Jason

Hello, well I'd go for the advance as it seems to have more equipment then the luxury grade, except for air suspension and HUD I think. And it had a panoramic roof.
-
hello
Do you have climate control in the RX300? If so, the air temp is supposed to stay at whatever you set it at and not vary.
And Now Its Gone........

Sorry to hear it. Did you buy a RX450 as replacement?
