I feel sorry for u that u had to go through this ordeal,lexus manual gearbox isn't the best was u getting trouble before it packed up, how the hell can they say driver error, it's not going into gear,when I purchased my first lexus is220d se-l 2006 from motorpark in Preston, when I picked it up kept coming out of 2nd gear, phoned them, had it checked in motorpark Chelmsford, had it replaced with no hassle.motorpark Preston actually paid for new gearbox. You would expect better customer service from Toyota. Well at least you got it sorted.now I got is250 auto much better

Just ordered 2 Dunlop sp sport max rt from cartyres.com for £71.39 each .getting them fitted at Halfords in barking on Monday.

On ebay guy selling dunlop sp sport fast response for 55 or best offer,so are they any good????, says new in listing, but he's in Derby. Will message him if he can deliver them for 50, another 10 each for fitting. Then it's bargain.

Found another place for Dunlop sport maxx rt 91y speed rating , cartyres. Com £71.39 fitted.get them fitted at ur local Halfords. Is this good value.

Hi guys went today to have my alignment done, but it was ok, told him it's pulling right,so he suggested swapping front tyes around. He did say it could be tyre that is causing pulling issue as right tyre is worn from outside, swapped tyres around, now it's pulling left.so now I know it's tyre.what is good quality tyres for front, got Dunlop at moment. How good are Dunlop spt01???? Can get them for £75 fitted at home.

Just filled my is250 today with v power at 108.9 p, when normal was 99.9p, still had 27 miles left, filled up for £60.used to use v power in my is220d all time. .

Ok just remembered didn't have sat nav on my is220d still trying to get used to it, dealer did set mileage in maintenance menu after they done service.

Did your service light came on or you just change oil after certain miles,might b that only can reset it once service light comes on.

Jack that is how you reset oil service light, I done it in my is220d, it worked. Watch you tube carefully it works in uk too.

Do u want manual???? try finding sel spec model lot more extra as toffee pie mentioned, f sport has limited extra too, thought euro was more expensive then Stirling. Try seeing some in uk @ comparing in euro, might get good deal.at least UK spec u can check on dvla site regarding mileage history, u must have something similar in Ireland.

To get black taxi plate they used to use this method to check your suspension but not anymore as now you do normal mot.never seen it done on normal car mot

My is220d boot didn't close properly, think it was lock which needed changing, when I sold it buyer did piont it to me, but didn't really notice it for 2yrs. When it's closed try to lift it, shouldn't have any play, but mine had slight play in it when lifted.if in doubt don't buy it

Well here I paid nearly £300 not sure what it would cost in Ireland,well it's reason to haggle.ask if hpi check is done and ask for report.another thing you can do is ring lexus Cork about mileage and any work it had done.

Heated and cooled seats only comes in leather, heated only on fabric seats on advance model and f sport with half leather unless Ireland spec is different to uk.accouding to spec list it's only got heated, not cooled. maybe some1 else can shed some light on this issue,and yes it's only missing leather. Best thing is test it ur self just to see if dealer is right. Have u seen car and test drove it yet?if you can live without leather then it's nice looking car.

There 2 spec se -i which is facelift model and upto 2008-2009 se- l, which is top spec model.Mine got leather heated and cooled seats.i had is220d se-l before, it had loads of extras, check some se-l models out and compare with sport model.u will have better idea rather me listing them.in UK we got dvla site where you can verify mileage with all mot's. U must have site like that in Ireland. Lexus can extend 20,000 miles service. It's same as se-l model but without leather.test driver it @ see good luck

Hi mate I got same colour but it's facelift model sel, have to agree with u about alloys not my taste either. Prefer original alloys. Pic of mine is250 se-l 2009, if you go for se l model will get lot more toys. Best car v6 engine choice.is this in your budget????

If you haggle really hard can get good price, I got mine from lexus snow group in Plymouth, they had it on for £11500, I got it for £10400,dealers always put on more as they know people will haggle.always get valuation first then you know where to start price from, start from bottom as I did at £10,000 which was private price.lexus do essential service which is exactly same as lexus one.i got my is220d essential service done, even stamped book.

I have to agree with toffee pie, don't want to offend anyone, why worry about Road tax, my is220d was 205,is250 is 290, not that much more. I think is people are worried about tax get yourself Toyota aygo which is only 20 per yr, but enjoyment comes at a price.

Robag your right about spec between German car @ lexus, l had se-l which had lot more toys then German cars, I was looking at bmw m sport business edition which had same toys but had high mileage on them for same price @ also majority of them was diesel again.so next choice was is250 but I'm glad I bought one,not disappointed one bit.as far mpg is concerned on is250, I drove from Plymouth to essex which was 260 miles, was averaging 40ish and only used half tank, which was not bad for v6. Was quite surprised mpg it gave and wasn't driving like an old dear either. Coming back now to manual or auto box, is220d gearbox is a bit notchy, like civic iav driven same, Japanese auto are better, German manuals are lot better.i been driving automatic cars now for 19 yrs.i personally prefer auto but everyone is different, usually big cars are auto as iav had e class merc all automatic.
