    If u got patience and finance available go on copart they sell damaged cars, if ur know about cars then that is best place but only buy cat d as they are repairable with less damage. Any small Honda civic, jazz Toyota aygo , hyundai i10,i20 r easy to sell due that cheap to run tax etc.if u can bothered to sit on laptop and bid like ebay.buy it drivers u want and put on sale.go for it

    Oh if vsc light is on then as linas said likely to be 02 sensor. Additive won't help in this case don't waste ur money. Get garage to check it properly

    Use forte petrol treatment in tank or use shell v power and take it on motorway it will blast gunk away, I use diesel treatment in my 15 yr tx1 taxi which never passes emissions if I don't use forte,it's very good additive.

    Welcome back to Forum I travelled from Essex to Plymouth to get my is250 se-i 2009 sometimes u can never buy car near u, I bought from lexus main dealer.i don't mind travelling if price is right @ a good deal.hope u find 1 soon u tried lexus main dealer, sometimes can find 1 for 7k.

    You asked too many questions that why he pulled out. If u bought car finance company will b after u not him,the person he alleged sold car too probably didn't ask soo many questions and probably didn't even do hpi.check autotrader if car is still for sale @ if it's on sale get someone else to call. u been saved from being conned.any 1 u act like that I will pull out first then bells should b ringing as why is he acting strange.why would he disclose debt on car as he wanted to scam someone. Once money exchanged log book on ur name it would have been ur problem not his.

    I think most people don't bother with him checks take sellers words, if if was ex vat then he has to vat registered. I.think he was trying to pull fast one on hoping u wouldn't do hpi.if u bought car then u would have been responsible for outstanding finance.he must have sold to some poor person who didn't bother to do hpi.was it a garage??? @ what car was it???? Obviously he didn't want to give u car details because he was dodgy

    Put wynes dpf cleaner in tank and blast it on motorway in 4th gear for about 20-30 mins, only will clear if not that blocked, otherwise have to get it unblocked professionally at a cost of 400, I had 2006 is220d se-l got blocked on m25. It's all due to local miles. Had mine done from car surgeon in Birmingham picked up @ dropped off 400ish. But if u take to them they will charge around 200-250.only reason sold mine as didn't do enough miles. Try cleaning egr it will help, it's quite easy via utube, I cleaned my egr by watching utube.good luck

    I also checked lexus recall website it's showing a recall but doesn't really say what is recall for plus no letter received unless doing by reg numbers as all been recalls were 2006-2008

    Just noticed today plastic shield between windscreen and body got big gap, where seems to me plastic shrank away from windscreen any easy fix, did notice glue came off,it's on driver side pictures attached need to get small windscreen chip fixed will ask them to fix it only need glue plus strip on same side is loose look like clips broken

    Today went Woking on m25 stuck to 60mph for 30 mins was getting nearly 47mpg was really surprised then 80mph dropped down to 43mpg still surprised. If I stuck to 60 all the way would get maybe more. For a v6 good mpg.but couldn't drive 60 miles at 60mph. At 80 still getting just over 40 mph.was really happy with mpg

    Its correct gearbox is cooled by engine cooling system,I got same system on my lti tx1, there is a pipe and if pipe washer failes then water from radiator goes straight into gearbox.most Japanese cars are as my taxi is Nissan engine and gearbox. It's quite possible that condensation builds up in pipe and lights come on, also could have condensation in box with oil.it happened to my taxi Water went in gearbox had it flushed few times and it cured it.you buy diesel dpf blocked buy petrol auto condensation in gearbox all due to short journey looool

    U got urself a bargain changing plugs, plugs Alone are 120ish for 6.good call to get them done as manifold is coming off anyway as ur saving extra labour on lexus lool

    U have to ask for a courtesy car, when I had my is220d serviced asked for it, they didn't offer it. Thought might get is300h but no got ct200h.

    Mines 2009 checked on lexus website and no recall needed.
