Hi Rebecca have u got ml sound system with dvd player or standard system as tru blue has ml which got full postcode facility, he right ml sat Nav use hard drive not cd.if you got 2 metal pins in tool box means you got cd version. could you post photo of sat nav.cd can be updated easy just pop out old cd install new 1.i updated my sat Nav to 2015-2016 got from ebay for 60.

When I was looking to update mine there was different types with different codes. Had to put in correct code to order right one, found code on old dvd. I think with ml system is different sat Nav. Maybe u should try it

Think there are different types of sat Nav. mine is is250se-i with dvd sat Nav, se-l probably got different sat Nav. post a picture of sat Nav will c if it's same as mine. hope you enjoying is220d so far.

Me 2 can't understand why people want to remove dpf for more power it's sufficient for a 2.2 diesel car.why get is220d get v6 or v8 if u want power. if u do lot of motorway miles any way dpf will not block. if u gonna do 4-5k per yr get any petrol car or is250. Isn't it illegal or mot failure to remove dpf.normally just remove filter in dpf so can't even tell if it's been removed, next poor owner have to fork out 1000-1500 for dpf replacement. Met few ppl with bmw with 525d dpf removed, they know garage get mot passed but next poor owner will get penalised. could be me or from forum There should b more depth checks on mot if dpf is still there. I having nothing against diesels had lots of diesels in past as had no dpfs was used for lot of miles but now diesel not appropriate that y got is250.

Mine is Sept 2009 hasn't got full postcode only have to type first bit list roads, bit fiddly but works fine. it's easy to put city with part postcode then Street. once u got address its stored in memory which is ok. i used it few times and it works ok.got long trip on 19th Dec will use it Essex to Oxford -no need Oxford to dewsbury -will use Dewsbury to Essex - will use Once address is fed it's in there only got to tap that it. easy peasy

Did lexus tell you what the rattle was and any parts replaced

It's bargain for 30 not worth doing it urself then but if u do it urself u will b satisfied on job well done but when had is220d done it myself took longer then estimated but was satisfied with job.plus weather was warmer. just by cleaning egr made so much differences power and fuel consumption.hope it sortes issues u having mate.egr must be really clogged up for throwing out codes.another thing u can try after cleaning egr is add wynes dpf cleaner with half tank of fuel drive for 20-30 mins in 4th gear on motorway that way it regenerate dpf of any soot in it.

I would take his advice @ clean egr and see if codes come back on. cleaning process is really easy only takes 30 mins to 1 hr. it's on YouTube step by steps on how to clean it. try cleaning first rather then replacement as it's quite expensive part.good luck

When used shell or esso was getting 27-28mpg local. cosco petrol is cheaper but doesn't seem to give good mpg getting 20mpg. on motorway not bad but local no good, will stick to shell. has any1 used cosco fuel perhaps could give opinion.

I do understand ur frustration about everyone bashing is220d but it has common issues like any other car. I had is220d for 2yrs was quite happy apart from few issues but that was due to less usage of car. Lexus should address common issues under warranty. Is250 is more suitable for me as milage I do, sometimes don't drive for 2-3 weeks.

Sorry to hear problems with ur is220d, on my is220d gears used to jump from 2nd gear luckily I had warranty they replaced it, egr is easy fix maybe 1 hr work just get it cleaned.i had is220d for 2 yrs didnt really get head gasket problem, when I sold it had 93k. was quite happy with car only sold it due lack of miles I done in it dpf blocked twice.buying from private sellers a risk

I got dvd sat Nav updated with new dvd for £60 used it few times think it's quite good, obviously Tom Tom is lot easier to operate but takes bit time to get used to it like putting address bit fiddly plus Bluetooth connectivity is a bonus.

Tried autoglym products in past on cream leather results were rubbish u pay lot for products which don't seem to work, this dodo juice seems to work better then expensive products on market, another good product is baby wipes work wonders on leather sofas, so should work on car leather too.v use tesco brand all time on leather sofas, give it try might work better then what u got.

Since my is250 only got 45k on clock is it worth using cataclean.getting no issues just a thought if I add it would it make any difference on mpg???? hardly use it during week only gets used weekend. do u just add to fuel tank and go on motorway as will b going over Xmas.

Just had original lexus rear pads and discs done today pads are looking rough only after 1 week of driving and discs are showing rust on ends too.no more grinding, blueprint pads were faulty so probably scored discs too. have look at pic of pads

Pressure test won't make it worse will c if there are any leaks. at least u know if dealer is right.no harm in pressure testing radiator

Get it pressure tested first only need to change if radiator is leaking and was it lexus dealer @ which one who quoted u £1000 If u need radiator try tj auto Ilford Google it they are cheapest might b able to get waterpump too.

That's weird no Avon listed anymore sorcerer is right, when I ordered mine they were showing at 86.99 but not listed now I'm not sure if on Thursday might say sorry can't get them. blackcircle still list them for 90.18 each but on eBay were showing at 87 each but was only showing 1. Will find out on Thursday if still available through cartyres if not get from blackcircle. will update on Thursday

Went today to cosco lakeside fuel is cheaper then petrol stations had half tank thought since I'm here fill her up. Filled 37.59 half tank unleaded 108.9 Super unleaded 113.9 litre Came on a13 petrol seem to ok was doing 80mph felt no difference in power was getting 35mpg
