  1. no it wont fit the centre bore is different.
  2. http://www.wheelfitment.eu/index.html with this web site enter your car details and it will come back with a list of cars whose wheels can be used on your car. my mate at work has a jag xf and using this site we found a focus st has the same wheel size as his ,its probably cheaper and more readily available to buy over a lexus wheel ,and after all its a spare wheel and will only be in use for a day or so, so it doesn't matter if its different.
  3. before buying a car you need to realise exactly what your needs are and to buy something that matches your needs
  4. why is it dreadful on the motorways ?? my ct was always quite quiet, on the motorway you should be cruising it would only become horrible if your accelerating hard and often. after all CT stands for Compact Tourer and thats what it does well ,if your after a sports car then you've chosen badly..
  5. do you have any updates about the parking sensor error message
  6. yes i have the premium nav also, you would expect the premium nav would be the next level up ,my dealer told me the premium nav came at a cost of £2000, not good when the recomendations are to use your smartphone nav instead
  7. i tried today to enter my mums address but the address wasn't in the listed so i searched for the postcode where you enter the first half of the postcode followed by the next number ,you are then asked for the house number, this method worked for me. thanks for your suggestions
  8. here is a site that can be used to show you what makes / models have wheels that are compatable with your car http://www.wheelfitment.eu/car/Lexus/IS250%20%282006%20-%202013%29.html
  9. thanks rayaans,i didn't get a page to enter a number.(this is my 1st car with nav) i'm using the nav as i've found someone selling some alloys off a IS250 he's selling 3 alloys, 2 have dunlop sport maxx tyres fitted and after speaking to him tonight he said he would take £50 for the 3 so in the morning i will be going to try them on the car if they fit, i'll buy them, i am only buying so i have a spare wheel.
  10. can you enter a house number aswell as the postcode into the nav system if you can how do you do it
  11. my work is only 5 minutes away by cheshire oaks and live about 20 minutes away what time you coming for your free car wash on a saturday lol personally i dont like others washing my car ,i enjoy doing it myself. last saturday i washed, dried, clayed & waxed my car the difference in the paint finish is remarkable.
  12. hi Rayaan what time did you collect the car i left lexus chester at 15.00 yesterday. i have only had mine for 1 month ,i came from a ct. in the ct i had become used to the indicators clicking into place and it doesn't happen in the IS. overall i am really happy i changed from the ct,the biggest thing i miss is a rear wiper. if you use the bluetooth handsfree system ,make sure your contatcs are stored on your phone as it wont read them directly from your sim, also short names in your phone book can be troublesome to dial handsfree,i have had to change kath to katherine in the phone book and it dials 1st time now. if these are the only issues i have then the car is virtually perfect. mark
  13. a 15 plate went past me this morning in that nice metallic blue colour
  14. also look at the dunlop sport maxx rt they are an A wet braking like the blueresponse they are a C fuel rating blueresponse is a B they are 67 Db against blueresponse 69Db so 2 good tyres blueresponse around £89,sport maxx rt around £82 so nothing in it. the difference is slightly quieter or slightly better fuel economy the choice is yours i have had the sport maxx rt's on a ct i had and they where quiet,i haven't tried the blueresponse so i can't comment.
  15. wednesday the 26th August the bacs transfer had apparently been processed, and i have just checked with my bank on the 30-August and still no sign of it.i feel i need to buy a pair of size 13's so i can kick their arse good and proper,i have been patient as i've waited for 1 calender month for my refund but have no sign of receiving it yet,i have been told it will be done by chaps on tuesday if it doesn't turn up,chaps has a 2 hour timescale for the money to be transfered so i will know if it goes through quickly.
  16. what other lexus wheels will fit the 300h, i am looking to have a full size wheel ,i dont care even if its different to the other allloys as i will only be using it to keep me on the road,my tyre size is 225/45/17
  17. here is a link for the warranty group http://uk.thewarrantygroup.com/auto-dealerships you can see what they deal with and YES they do breakdown as well. this company isn't working solely for lexus they deal with the lesser brands as well, maybe this is why lexus owners feel the service is sub standard.
  18. hi Chris sorry you have gone through this like me,it seems like its just the way they work.
  19. well i have found out who the barclays account belongs to today guess who ?????? yes you got it themselves ,ooh sorry i was told it is human error we are going to put the money back into your account ,i asked for the banking details they ahd and they gave me my sort code and their account number,so 3rd time lucky it should be back in my account tomorrow, its now been escalated to their customer relations team to deal with as i emailed them and now joe the senior advisor wont talk to me or return any calls, i have told them i dont want a pro rata refund but the whole £495 returning due to their incompetance,so next week i will find out if they will give me the a further £186 back i do feel confident that i will receive a full refund in the end. all the products lexus sells goes through this company ,gap, alloy wheel cover, chips & scratches, service plans, warranties so beware they can be a bugger to deal with at customer service level ,customer relations are different and they listen and understand. lets face it we have all paid a premium for buying into lexus and you expect to receive a certain standard of customer service,if it where nissan this would be acceptable but we not ,we are lexus and we have higher expectations.
  20. email i sent to lexus extended warranty today it is with regards to an extended policy that i purchased through lexus chester in december 2014. i have now sold my ct200h on the 1st of August 2015 and bought an IS300h from lexus stoke ,i have had to cancel the warranty and get a refund since the warranty cannot be passed onto a dealer, and this is where the issues have started. 1) on the 1st August i spoke to warranties to inform them the warranty needed to be cancelled and a refund to me to be issued. 2) on the 5th i received a letter to confirm the refund had been actioned 3) on the 19th i phoned to confirm the refund had been posted and was told yes it had,and to give it till the weekend ,i did and it didnt arrive 4) on the 24th i phoned warranties again only to be told NO refund had been issued as it had to be manually actioned. 5) on the 25th i spoke to joe holden a senior advisor and he agreed that a bacs transfer would be processed instead of a cheque being sent for speed. i looked at a bank statement to get my sort code and account number and read them to him,he also told me he would confirm the actions taken in an email, and that i would receive it in 10 minutes ,18 hrs later it hadn't been delivered 6) spoke to Joe on the 26th he apologised for not sending me an email and confirmed an email had been sent today 7) on arrival at home i read his email only to find that they have sent the refund to somebody by bacs in barclays leicester and i live on the wirral 120 miles away so still no refund. i am right fed up with this car at the moment
  21. when i finally managed to log in my old details where showing, and on www.askmid.com the ct was still insured and the IS wasnt. this morning the mid details had changed showing my car as insured. i have been with them for 5 years and they have been great its just this time i have had an issue. the woman i dealt with when i told them of the change of car didn't inform the renewals department so the renewal went through 10 days later on the ct ,but since aviva knew i had informed them of the change of car they told me i would of been insured as it had been an internal error and emailed documents to confrim this in case i need to proved my insurance status. the positive outcome is that this year i am only paying the premium for the ct and not the IS so i have saved £90 then today i have wangled a further £55 gesture of goodwill on top.
  22. still not on the database ,it does say on askmid.com "please note that the MID is not instantly updated with your policy record and may take a few days before being recorded on the MID."so i may have to give it untill tuesday, but if it isn't done by then i dont know what i will do,besides change insurance company ,i have already metioned to them if it isn't sorted very soon i have a price from the esure group that i will take ,and that i dont epect any admin charges to be applied and it will be a full refund that i expect and want to receive. tomorrow they are ringing me at 12.30 ish (may be) so lets see what they have to say then.
  23. do you have a part number off the bins as they maybe the same a toyota part at a significantly lower price
