  1. Its very odd, something isnt right. The MAX ive achieved in an IS250 is 34mpg but 46.8mpg is way too high. Id say its not registering correctly as a V6 will guzzle through fuel no matter what. I barely get 46mpg in the IS300h! when i had my ct lexus liverpool gave me an IS250 courtesy car with only 100 miles on the clock and driving with a light foot i only achieved 27 mpg quiet a shock when i used to achieve mid / late 50's all the time in the ct
  2. i have been thinking about this and they can be turned off & on through LPS lexus personalised settings No 30 is to turn on & off the cup holder lights get your dealer to check it out just in case there has been a computer glitch and the lights have been turned off
  3. i feel this shows just how good a 300h is as my grumble with the car is so small, i wish when you turned the ventillation fan off & back on again the fan speed would be at the previous setting rather than having to press the fan up button until the desired speed is set.
  4. No you can do it yourself as i have done on my ct ,if you download an app called carista and be a beta tester or you pay a 1 off fee you then have the full app you also need to buy an bluetooth obd2 adapter i.e. elm327 (£5'ish) you can then customize and reset any fault codes yourself
  5. took the IS to the dealer yesterday they had a drive ,and confirmed there was some wind noise but lexus said the wind noise is the same on both sides of the car so it is normal, if it gets any worse to bring it back, I will wait until we have some high wind speeds when it is more apparent and let them look at it them
  6. the heated seats will & do operate whilst in EV mode,i have just checked at lexus techdoc and it mentions NO. 2 fuse so its a starting point.
  7. before reading this topic i had noticed the 2 posts under the bonnet but didn't know what they where for. do they only become activate above a certain speed or are they active once the car starts moving. i cant get over the cost of the repairs.
  8. i now have my car booked in for monday so lexus can have a look / listen hopefully i will have a positive outcome
  9. i am going to ring lexus in the morning to see when they can have a look at my car i dont have much faith in them doing anything to be honest ,as when i had my ct i had quiet a few rattles that the dealer said they couldn't hear so i was left with them.
  10. i tried the door mirrors today and it didn't work, its definately coming from the top corner where the front & rear doors join
  11. i thought the wind deflectors may of helped if the noise is coming from the glass to door seal as the deflector will cover this sealing area.. i have tried cleaning the seals already and it didn't help,i have a rubber cleaning spray by autoglym that i use every few months on the door seals to keep them supple,i will try the other suggestion about folding the mirrors in whilst driving and see if that helps. i will post back as soon as i have tried the mirrors in the morning.
  12. would fitting wind deflectors help to rid my car of wind noise around the drivers door could anyone advise me. i have been looking at these on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/361306033196?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  13. i do have the oem tyres fitted on the car, i wasn't driving like a loon i just noticed the orange triangle flickering maybe there where some wet leaves on the road surface i dont know,it just came as a surprise to see the light. if you want to turn the traction controll off then with the ignition on press and hold the trc button for about 10 seconds and you will get a warning on the dash saying traction control is off.
  14. this IS300h is my first rear wheel drive car in 29 years and today i noticed the traction control light coming on today on a wet road surface ,it surprised me how easy it is to get the IS's wheels to lose traction. how tail happy is the IS during the winter months should i be very warey about losing the back end or is everything very predictable and safe.
  15. i used to have a ct luxury on a 61 plate with 17" wheels, the ride was firm and also comfortable, after a 2 hour drive i never felt stiff and achey other members have said the 16" wheels give a softer ride and apparently better mpg as well at the end of the day its down to personal preference.
  16. the premium nav has the yellow and blue lines as well as the fixed lines, the yellow lines are connected to the steering and the blue lines show you the direction the car will travel based on the current steering position. my 63 plate doesn't have the sharks fin antenna but i still have dab in my opinion i prefer it without as it gives the roof nice lines without anything ruining it
  17. It will be interesting to see if all the speed cameras that you are used to being picked up still are. I have one locally which my IS300h, running older software picked up. My new NX, running the current software, doesn't give the tell tale 'beep beep' although the camera is still there. I'm not inclined to test whether it's still active though i have been past the couple of speed camera's (police xmas fund) on my way to work today and where notified of both of them so the update so far seems to be ok.
  18. i go through a couple of speed cameras each day so i will post an update tomorrow about wether they where still present or not as the case maybe.
  19. here is a screen shot before i updated the system
  20. i have just finished the update took 5 minutes to complete in the car the old version was VC03100L the new version is VD12102C
  21. found how now you have to checkout then in go into dashboard you then get the download link
  22. i cannot see how to download the file i have clicked on the link for the free file ticked the i agree t & c box then what do i do , i am running firefox,do you need IE hope someone can help me
  23. try selecting the ev mode before you move off as long as you have enough charge the engine shouldn't cut in. something i have noticed over the last few weeks is first thing in the morning i can't get the car to go into ev mode, and found its because the actual cabin temperature (when engine coolant is cold) is lower than the temperature selected for the cabin, if you lower the cabin temperature the car will then go into ev.
  24. the blue lines show you where you will end up and the yellow lines will move with the steering wheel. so once the blue lines are where you want to be then straighten up and drive into your space, an example would be reversing into a parking bay in a supermarket, you start reversing and get the blue lines parallel to the white bay lines then you will be central in the bay straighten up and keep reversing until the 1st line after the red line is at the back of the bay and STOP ,you will now have enough room to get into the boot with your shopping. i have an IS300h and have the flag system also ,this can be used to aid parallel parking between 2 cars its complicated to explain just read the manual .
