  1. last october we took our little one back to Alton Towers for his 2nd birthday as he loves cbeebies land thats there and the courtesy IS300h we where given had appauling dab coverage it would work for a few moments then go quiet for a while i went back to fm but to be honest the fm reception back home sounds so much better than Dab i dont bother with it. there has been a topic on here or the ct forum i was surprised that some of the Dab station are transmitted in mono.
  2. have a look at the sub wires and make a note of the colours so you will know what wires you are looking for at the amp end of the cabling, once the cable are located if you are unsure which wire is + and which is - connect a AA battery across the 2 wires you will hear a pop sound this is because the speaker cone has moved when the speaker has moved outwards you know what wire is + & - from the connection on the battery
  3. the part has turned up today just waiting for the weather to become dry as the panel is held on with 1 small press clip and double sided sticky tape (they must have blue peter in japan also)
  4. i have been fiddling with the seal between the front and rear door at the top of the front door where there is a hard corner i have attached some self adhesive felt on the rear door on the front edge at the top the seal has a notch cut into it, across the notch i have applied another piece of felt and i have to say it does sound less noisy,i am at the moment waiting for a replacement plastic outer door panel with seal to arrive at lexus to see if it could be just due to the softening of the rubber seal its £28 + vat so i dont mind giving it a try
  5. i always clean the seals but i still have the noise ,lexus didnt know what was causing the issue either. one day we test drove my car against one of theirs and the mechanic did say the road noise was considerably worse in mine.
  6. you've answered your 1st question yourself run a new set of cables,if you have preout on the back of the stereo run these cable to a new amp then hook up your sub on your wiring loom there should be an accessory cable connect this to your aerial power cable.
  7. Installation Instructions For Mini VCI (these instructions where supplied with mine) Please make sure your windows system is 32bit(Windows xp or 7), the 64bit system may cause problems. step1. install "TIS_Techstream_Setup.exe" step2. After software installation open C:\Program Files (x86)\Toyota Diagnostics\Techstream\Env\IT3System.ini, and change "TISFunction = 1" to "TISFunction = 0". Save. 2.1 Install "MVCI Driver for TOYOTA.msi" DON'T UPDATE DIAGNOSTIC CABLE FIRMWARE, IT WILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE!!! step3. Run the "Techstream" on desktop, 3.1 Select the area as "Europe", 3.2 Select the language you want, 3.3 The register information, you can write everything you want, fill all the blank, then OK. step4. Interface Select 4.1 Click the [Setup] menu, then click the [VIM Select], then select the [Xhorse-MVCI] in the drop down list of "Interface Setup", then Click [OK]
  8. i have techstream and it runs on win7 with no problems you have turned the ignition on haven't you.
  9. your not the only one with this excessive road / wind noise from the drivers door i have been to lexus about this issue with no solution my ct wasn't noisy.
  10. that's why mines ok ,I'm divorced and wear company uniform T shirts for work
  11. you can get carbon fibre film (doesn't have to be carbon fibre) in different colours maybe just wrap the dial.
  12. with the vibrations lasting less then a second this says to me its not the discs, if it was the discs the steering wheel would also wobble until the speed has been reduced then the wobble would stop. you normally notice warped disc's when you leave a motorway and apply the brakes. if you cant sort it soon contact the dealer
  13. braking on a lexus hybrid is quiet different to a normal car as the brake pads are only used during braking under about 8mph or if hard braking is required and for this reason it wont be the discs
  14. how big is the RX tank and what sort of mpg do you get rayaan,a full tank in the IS will last me in the region of 3 weeeks - 3.5 weeks for me thats perfect as filling up is one of those things i hate doing.
  15. in the CT the red & blue lights cant be seen shinning down ,but where they touch the interior trim the trim is illuminated ,just subtle lighting nothing in your face.
  16. in the CT there are red & blue leds in the front light panel they light the cup holder area when in eco / normal the blue led lights up & in sport mode the red led lights up i thought the IS would have this also.
  17. take a feed from your power socket in the certre console. remove the base of the rear seat and take the cables under the carpet and under the back seat you are now in the boot area mount the socket where you need it. jobs done
  18. well done for getting a great deal ,can you say what the deal you managed to get is.
  19. if you dont have the auto dimming rearview mirror then this kit maybe of interest to you http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wireless-Car-Reversing-Rear-View-License-Plate-Camera-4-3-TFT-Rearview-Monitor-/401060915811?hash=item5d6117ea63:g:u~0AAOSw5dNWhKBj
  20. can't wait to hear dave748's review on his test drive starting today
  21. i like the idea of being able to lock the back seats to prevent anyone having access to the boot from the cabin
  22. hI i didnt know what this system is so i have searched and from what i have read i feel you will be better off just having the car in sport mode as the dial for eco , normal ,sport mode seems to be the same as the lts2 unit. here is a link for the info i read http://my.is/forums/f155/blitz-vs-toms-throttle-controller-386992/
  23. could you say what the deal was,it could help rich choose a new / newer car than he thought.
