from the scottish listing it says
5 year mechanical warranty
5 years or 100,000* miles from new, whichever comes first, with no mileage limitation for the first year.
This warranty also covers any mechanical fault caused by a manufacturing defect.
i always thought that the lexus warranty covered you for 3 years / 60,000 miles
http://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/warranty-and-insurance/#ManufacturersWarranty
i have just been to a lexus scotland and it quoted 5 years warranty / 100,000 miles
http://www.easternwestern.co.uk/lexus/nearly-new-cars/Lexus/IS300_HYBRID_SPORT_/575/
if i haven't overlooked some info why would scotland have a longer warranty ??
get rid of the block connector solder the wires instead.
to get to the copper wire you could of used an automatic wire stripper
to reveal the copper wire then soldered your wires onto them and covered with
insulation tape to make the job look neat.
since you have cut the wires get some heat shrink tubing slide it over the wires
solder the wires together & slide the shrink tubing on top of the join use heat to shrink the tubing.
Hi dave this is what i have done in the boot ,this is the light finished
i have used a 16 led panel light removed the end caps and fitted a w5w cap instead
so i could use the original lighting plug, the link below is a pic of the led assembly
for the footwell lights
i know what you mean about the column change its a bit wierd years ago i had an E class courtesy car
but after a while it became the norm, the seats in a lexus after softer / more comfortable than the germans aswell,
if our cars weren't hybrid we would only be getting in the region of mid 20's so 35mpg is ok.
buy off ebay an elm327 obd2 adapter and download carista and pay for the upgrade you can then use the LPS setting to enable / disable the window setting, revese beep and lots more personally i wouldn't have it turned on as you will find your windows are down because you have pressed the unlock button in your pocket without knowing
been there and wore the T shirt luckily it was a sunny day.
if you can get the cabling back to the centre console you could use the power socket and there is a 3.5mm jack socket
i have read somewhere if you use a 4 pole 3.5mm jack plug video can be sent through the socket to the screen
i recognise your user name rhosneigr where you on a nissan micra forum, kath used to have a k11 with username micra2000,failing the nissan did you have a toyota aygo our username is eygo.
when i had my Ct in Mesa red i used to polish my car everytime i washed it maybe once a week this was to ensure i didnt have any water marks on the body
i cannot believe you have gone 6 years
if you haven't polished your car for 6 years BOW your head in shame you naughty man
Dont use T cut it is very abrasive
i personally like meguiars products they have a full range of detailing products for your car
i would recommend using a clay bar or clay mitt to remove all contaminents from your paintwork
1st rinse , wash & rinse grime off your car (10 minutes)
2nd mist the body with the clay bar detailing spray (small area at a time) then gently move your clay bar over the paintwork
you will feel when the area is clean then move to next part of bodywork (15 minutes)
3rd use a good quality wax the best you can buy if it needs to last 6 more years lol (the rest of the day)
this is just a stab in the dark
check your tyres and make sure you dont have something hard stuck in the tyre tread
as this can cause a clicking sound every revolution .
obviously reset / check all your tyre pressures first
down in the area where your pedals are have a look for a button mark SET picture of a tyre
you may find it on the plastic undertray above the pedals
with the ignition turned on press and hold this button until the warning light on the dash
flashes slowly 3 times leave the ignition turned on for a few minutes then turn off.
its in section 4-3 page 521 in the user manual
it would be fair to expect that if you have something better you should be able to do more with it.
if it where said its only available on the premium nav and not the standard nav you wouldn't be surprised
but for it to be the other way round is crazy, the designers must of had too much rice wine that night
