in may this year my intermediate service cost me £209 instead of £245 lexus liverpool quoted the cheaper and chester matched the price just dont be afraid to ask, the dealer wont show any shame when taking more money than they need to.

it first started about 1 month ago but randomly ,its more of a daily occurance now but only 1st thing in the morning. i'm sure mines satin silver also, maybe its a no charge optional extra thats supplied as standard on silver cars shame you have a white car rayaan

i do feel a bit better knowing i am not the only one with this issue

Hi Phil before you leave your car at night set the temp to LO and see if it does the noise in the morning if it doesn't do it initially raise the temp as see if it happens then. if my temp is set above LO the noise happens straight away if its set on LO its quiet until i raise the temp setting. i am going to do a video of me starting the car with the temp on LO then raising the temp for the noise to happen i'll pass this onto lexus so they can see the issue and when it happens. after passing the sound file to my dealer yesterday they have emailed me today saying its a strange noise they havent heard before and will investigate when my car is in for its 1st mot on the19th of August.

its personal preference clay mitt versus clay bar one shouldn't be better than the other. i like clay bars as you can break them in half the reasoning behind this is if you drop a clay bar / mitt you should throw it out as it may of collected grit off the floor so that would be the mitt in the bin if you break the clay bar in half you still have the other half to carry on using but each to their own.

i paid a visit to my dealer on thursday and let them hear the sound clip,phil the service manager wasn't in and yesterday he asked me to send him the audio clip as he thinks its probably normal and will compare this to another IS,it needs to be sorted as my 3yr warranty expires on the 31st August

i have the cabin temp set to 20 degrees for 1st thing in the morning, when i start the car i get a creak sound this morning when i started my car it didnt happen until i turn the temp from LO to 20 degrees (warm day on thursday) are there servo's to control the water valve for the cabin temperature. if you listen to the audio file between 11 secs and 14 secs you will hear the noise has anyone else had this issue, if you did what is the cause . forgot to mention aircon is off creek.m4a

my car in the morning at the moment will of warmed enough to change to EV mode in 1 mile maybe 1.5 miles and the temperature needle is very close to where it normally sits diesels normally take longer to heat up as the fuel is burnt at a lower temperature ,maybe the BMW had an electric heater also to provide hot air in the cabin quickly.

B stands for braking and yes the battery will charge up quicker whilst B is selected as the electric motor will be spinning faster.

i have to say i'm sceptical about the waterless cleaners i dont understand how they work, as in how they dont scratch the paintwork when your using a cloth that is holding all the grime and grit surely there has to be an chance of grit at some point being on the top of the cleaning cloth next to the paint ,i dont think its a chance i want to take.

on 17" wheels i found the ride to be firm but not uncomfortable ,if you find the 17" wheels are giving too firm a ride you can get the 16" wheels and the ride is softer.

above the pedals and underneath the dash is a panel the reset button is in this panel ,the other item in this panel is the foot light. the button has set written on it.

are your phone numbers stored on your phones memory or the sim card as i am sure they have to be on the phone memory for the car to recognise them

since you haven't had many responses i think you need to remove the speaker and see if it goes its going to be a process of illimination for you,my only creak is in the centre console in the side panels which i have now fixed

i bought the carista app so i could turn the window function off and many other lexus customisations

window down from the unlock button is a pain ,i had it enabled when i had a Ct ,i was on the forklift at work and i pressed the unlock button without knowing as my keys where in my pocket and opened my windows ,luckily it was a dry day lexus did ask if i was sure as they had many compaints from customers finding their windows where down

since its a company car make note the boot area is very small so if you have to carry tools / equipment for work there may not be enough room for you, something to look out for on the test drive.
