hi lexusis200x2000 i think you have been speaking to someone who knows absolutely jack about the is300h they are no different to any other car with regards to changing of the bulbs and basic maintenance batteries aren't an issue either they are guaranteed for 5 years and every time you have the car serviced by lexus they are covered for another year after the 5 year guarantee has expired up to about 10 years. yes lexus dealer labour rates aren't cheap but show me a main dealer who has cheap hourly rates. the hybrid system is tried and tested and been around since the first prius and over the years been improved upon so no issues there and engine wise like any other car as long as you look after it you will have many years of service from it. ignore your friend of a friend of a friend and test drive one and make your own mind up i would say i would only buy one if its has full lexus service history for peace of mind so only techs who know the car have worked on it.

Lexus IS300h rear wheel losing grip

the width of the green band isn't an issue the wider the green band the easier it is to achieve the correct adjustment if your tracking should be + / - 1 degree then the green section will be equal to 2 degree's so when your in the middle its spot on ,your tracking can be adjusted by 1/10th of a degree so the accuracy is second to none,i can only talk about the centres i have been to and find them ok if i wasn't happy i would go to another outlet. -

it is pretty much fool proof enter the cars details clip on sensors and connect sensors to system adjust each wheel until system shows its in the green jobs done. -

Kwik-Fit has been bought by Itochu a Japanese firm and since they bought kwikfit money has been invested hence the decent geometry systems and the updated centres their geometry systems I was told cost £80000 I don't know how true this is but anything car related that's of a good quality will normally be expensive. -

yes that is a diesel Passat you now have a hybrid lexus , the lexus has electric motors that need protecting this is why it cuts in quickly ,I personally don't think there is anything wrong with your car its just different to the Passat. -

when on ice or snow the traction control cuts in and cuts power so you can end up becomming stuck this is why there is a snow button to help you get out of trouble,it cuts in quickly to protect the motors on the early CT's there isn't a snow button and you can become stranded. -
yes it can turn off the seat belt ding you can select which seat you want the ding to stop on aswell

this is a car seat we have http://www.mothercare.com/forward-facing-car-seats-group-1/maxi-cosi-rubi-xp-car-seat---shadow-red/828375.html?CAGPSPN=pla&CAAGID=8694643171&CATCI=pla-120050899531&cm_mmc=Google-_-Car Seats-_-Shopping - Car Seats//Shopping - Car Seats-_-+-+&utm_source=Google&utm_medium=CPC&gclid=Cj0KEQiA5bvEBRCM6vypnc7QgMkBEiQAUZftQM33mp-EjVFtdjrnBL7lFL_OrPUPh0_p5MgNoKoqpXkaAtin8P8HAQ this seat clamps onto the seat belt so the seat is rock solid all of the time

i suppose you only have to make a slight change to the design remove any markings that relates to TRD design so it can't be classed as an imatation and more of a 3rd party part.
-
i am running cross climates on my IS on 17" and they are great ,in the wet you can floor it and the traction is still realy good if you do get any spin it is inly slight, the tyres are quiet the only down side is that they are only good down to -2 any lower temperatures and its like running standard tyres. i would definately buy them again in the future.

what do you think of the kinetic seats that i have seen in the UX adverts do the pictures show the inners of the seats or is that the way they will be with the frame work and the webbing being on display as in the link below https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=lexus+kinetic+seats&client=firefox-b&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiB__H-0uLRAhXFORoKHb3hB9cQsAQIRA&biw=1920&bih=940

traction control on toyota / lexus hybrid is normally quiet servere as in it cuts in quiet quickly get yourself a 4 wheel geometery check and have it adjusted if necessary ,either lexus can do it but it does become quiet pricey at about £100 for a 1 time check & adjust, most kwik fit centres have the hunter hawkeye tracking system these systems are absolutely spot on you can pay £120 to have your tracking adjusted up to 8 times in a 2 year period so better value for money. -
went to lexus this morning and the fault can be reset they couldnt fit me in until this afternoon so i tried carista on my phone whilst in the carpark and the app cancelled the dash warnings for me. so happy days .i've attached an image of the dash message, lexus did say even with the car parked up you can still get this message if the car is nudged gently.
-
all the bodywork is perfect and nothing has actually popped its just the message on the dash i was sitting still waiting to move off and had my foot on the brake when the paramedic rolled backwards probably 2 - 3 feet i had my hand continually on the horn but he didnt hear obviously
-
if its something that can be reset then i would rather not say anything to the insurance company and reset it but if it is as i suspect a damaged sensor then i will have to,its just that i will get stung by the insurance for 5 years as they ask if you have been involed in an accident at fault or not in the past 5 years.
-
i have just had a paramedic roll back into my car and the popup hood failure warning is now on my dashboard is this something that can just be reset or have the sensors been damaged and now need replacing. i hope someone can advise me.

Choosing my first IS 300H
200h replied to newtolexus2017's topic in Lexus IS 300h / IS 250 / IS 200t Club
the F sport will still be under the lexus warranty until its 3 years old as long as its had the servicing at the correct time using approved parts so no worries there, before you buy let the dealership give you a proper test drive in both cars ,you'll be spending alot of money so make sure you purchase the correct car for you dont let the dealer push you towards one car. either do online shopping or go later on in the evening when kiddies are going to bed the supermarkets will be quieter or borrow a friends child and use the parent parking. -
yep go back in to your dealership and ask them to put right the paintwork. you would expect that lexus wouldn't let a car leave the forecourt if it wasn't in good condition but they are like any other company they're out to make money and if they dont have to spend then they wont. i have attached a photo of the Ct i purchased in 2013 from lexus liverpool,i looked at the car in november afterwork so it was dark outside and i didn't notice the paint damage and yes they let the car go out with me the following day, they did get it back though to repair.

the battery is aot bigger than a motorcycle battery both in physical size and capacity the battery is approx 235mm wide x 130mm deep x 220mm high
-
the battery number is S46B24L 20HR 49Ah CCA325A and here is a link http://www.yuasa.co.uk/hj-s46b24r-628.html absolutely amazed at the cost
-
i dont think the battery is a weak point as such but one reason why it will go flat is that the keyless entry system is always operational and is always searching for your key to come near if i had thought about it i am sure i've seen an option to turn the keyless entry off this would of saved power. i did search the net to see the cost of a battery and they are in the region of £250 so quite expensive and this price wasn't from lexus.

peter you have the perfect car as the RC can only accomodate small people in the back due to the lack of legroom but this will mean you wont be able to bring them back when their teenagers from a music festival when they're and covered in mud that can also be down to the parents -
