  1. i've had them corroded on and had to cut the cap off with a small hacksaw blade down the side of the cap so i could then split them with a flat blade and remove, as rayaans said the IS has plastic ones there is no issues with removing them as i found out after a kind child removed them in the carpark at work.
  2. fit a stalk and you have cruise control, so why isnt CC fitted to all models i dont understand. you buy a premium car brand surely CC should be expected as a standard feature.
  3. welcome the f sport blue is a cracking colour i love it you wont have any issues with it i'm sure it a lexus afterall
  4. brake fluid is to be changed every 2 years due to the nature of brake fluid absorbing moisture from the air
  5. definately the shelf in the glovebox, when its fitted the glovebox is useless your better off with the shelf out. you can get a space saver for the CT the undertray will need to be removed or modified if you want to retain the storage.. to refit the shelf locate the lugs in the side first then press down to locate the ones on the bottom.
  6. i have battled with wind noise around the front doors for 18 months and cannot find a cure for it i have cleaned the door seals and lubricated them, lubricated the glass channels, taped around the top of the glass to door frame and still haven't got any where ,i'm just living with it now.
  7. the doors have sensors mounted inside that sense objects around them but I have seen it on the internet when the sensors fail and the doors either bang into something or they wont open or close properly, tesla is still in its infancy and bringing new ideas to the market like anything new you always have teething issues I'm sure they will have any teething issues sorted before long.

  9. i thought pairing only took place during the first few minutes on being turned on, the other week i forgot to turn on bluetooth on my phone i realised about 3 minutes after i left work so at the next set of red lights i had to turn off the ignition and then back on to allow the pairing to take place
  10. only one device can be connected to bluetooth at any given time so by turning the bluetooth off one device allowed yours to connect..
  11. i have just checked on the compatibility list and the iphone 5 & 6 are both compatible but not fully https://www.lexus-tech.eu/bluetooth/SearchDedicated.aspx?lang=en&height=720&width=750&_ga=1.144505461.1936361177.1484230456
  12. i know this doesn't help you but its an issue we have with bluetooth with the brand we have a 13 plate auris hybrid and that car forgets the pairing so we have to re-pair the phone every 2 weeks or so toyota says the phones not compatible.
  13. at last you have your tesla those falcon (gullwing) doors open in a way they shouldn't
  14. i have just removed the anti glare off a laptop screen and boy what a job it was i am going to make sure i only clean the in car screen with a damp microfibre cloth and nothing else.
  15. i have had mine checked a few weeks and came back with a clean bill of health within 15 minutes i had my car back.
  16. lets hope the Audi / Bmw driver stay loyal to their brand so the idiots dont tarnish the reputation of the lexus driver. i havent been cut up by a lexus driver but by loads of Audi & Bmw drivers.
  17. when my 12v battery went flat over xmas once i had hooked up a battery under the bonnet i then opened the boot using the electric release it was only then i nothiced the key slot but it makes sense to have the key slot to have access to the battery incase none of your doors will open electrically.
  18. good write up matt8 you said the following " Make sure you don't shut that boot once it's been closed " you can open the boot door with your door key as on the passenger side underneath the lip where the number plate lights are is a key hole for emergencies .
  19. as standard lexus comes with a 3 year warranty ,Toyota come with a 5 year warranty
  20. its great that you didnt have to buy a new tyre but any excuse is a good reason to get rid of the yokohamas that come as standard on the car they are so noisy why do lexus supply noisey tyres on a quiet car
  21. below the cd / dvd slot on the vertical surface there is a panel that lifts up under this panel is the sat nav SD card.
  22. i have to agree with Tayaste 5% tint is really dark at night ,if you have a reversing cam then it wont be to bad but you still have to be so careful,i had 5% on a mercedes i had a few years ago with no reversing cam you had to survey behind the car to make sure there wasn't anything you could hit then reverse blindfold. remember when it says 5% thats the amount of light that can pass through the film so 95% is blocked.
  23. its a little off topic,i've had a txt read out in the car from argos and its pronounced argoes the only issue i have had with the sat nav is when i was travelling to Northwich the sat nav told me i was heading for Norwich.
  24. hassan did you buy the car new or as a used car ,if you bought it used within the last year you may still have some warranty from the dealer you purchased the car from
  25. the extra 1 year guarantee only happens if the car is serviced by lexus once a car is 5yrs old there are cheaper servicing costs available. there is no reason why you cant do the service yourself its mainly the hybrid system that requires the technical know how, when your car is serviced at lexus battery codes are taken from the system so the battery condition can be monitored,if you still go ahead and service the car yourself just stay away from the ORANGE cables as they are the high voltage hybrid cables.
