  1. hi all i havent had chance to take any photos yet been raining. i didnt realise how much the road tax is i asked the dealer what the cost would be and told £130 it only came to light when i went to tax the car and found it is £440 / yr as there is the additional £310 / yr tax that i didnt know about what a surprise, then today the car had been collected to have some scratches removed for it to come back with scratches present still so on monday the car is going back for a couple days to make sure the bodywork is in good condition hopefully they will be giving the car a clay as the paint feels quite rough i proved this to the dealership when i clayed it in front of them. once the car is back photos will be taken.
  2. 4pm tomorrow i'll be collecting my car can't wait haven't told anyone at work interesting to hear what comments i have on thursday.
  3. i always said i would never have another black car they look great when there clean and awful when dirty, when i had my last black car i used to get the polish out after i had washed it so not to have any water circles on the paintwork.
  4. i made the mistake of asking the sales team what the options where when you are nearing the end of your pcp then one thing led to another.
  5. yesterday i took my partners Auris hybrid for its mot at my lexus dealership as they where £15 cheaper over our local toyota dealer (same group) before you know it i'm looking at a 17 plate is300h F Sport and today i've signed for it to replace my 63 plate 300h i collect my new car on wednesday ,the saving i was hoping to make has suddenly been lost, cant wait for wednesday.
  6. i'm glad that white stuff has all gone where i live its been nice not seeing a flake since friday.
  7. i was looking at mine a few weeks ago lower the rear seat backs remove the plastic trim around the boot opening (behind the seat back) remove trim clips remove panels above the parcel shelf either side of the car popup shelf & remove shelf
  8. i'm sure you can turn off the keyless entry if your not using the car for a while, it happened to me in jan 17 and after 3 weeks flat battery i went and bought a normal car battery so i had something to boot the car up with ,its been fine ever since.
  9. in the newer models with the traction off button it does the same thing. there is also maintenance mode press the pedal twice instead of three times this mode prevents the engine from cutting out.
  10. i'm 95% certain the F sport models have a black head liner as standard
  11. if you get stuck in the snow you can turn the traction control off ,but only use it to get yourself free and moving again once your free turn off the car then start the car like normal. http://srmotorcars.blogspot.co.uk/2011/12/how-to-disable-traction-control-on.html
  12. the easier way if you dont know which cylinder is effected is to remove a plug lead and the revs will drop on a good cylinder and the engine will run rough ,on the bad cylinder there wont be much if any difference in the running.
  13. if anyone needs parts my local breakers always has the 300h in stock here is the link https://www.car-transplants.co.uk/
  14. i would try a fine cutting compound / scratch remover then use a good polish
  15. there have been topics on here regarding cutting down the compartment so it will fit in, with the space saver in the wheel well
  16. just change the batteries and the remote will still work without any further action taking place.
  17. if your key isn't detected place the lexus emblem on the back of the remote against the start button and then press the button as normal the key will be recognised then. the most annoying pop ups i am seeing at the moment are the black friday ads every time i come onto the lexus / toyota forums
  18. it looks ok . for me the rear is too low i dont like the look when the you lose the gap between the tyre and arch i'd rather have an even gap between the tyre and arch but thats just me
  19. is this the same part number for your refill https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-OEM-Lexus-Seal-Tyre-Repair-250-300H-04-2013-Onwards-C604847051-/263174733950?hash=item3d466fc07e
  20. using the tyre repair goo is the biggest mistake you made due to the cost of replacing it i always buy a can of tyre weld and have that in the boot as its the cheapest option to use, but i would now keep the empty can because you can now use the compressor to inflate your tyres with this empty can fitted to the compressor, you can then get to a tyre centre and have the puncture repaired.
  21. here is a link with an exploded view of the exhaust system i know the link is pointing to the rc300h but the 200t isnt listed the part numbers are listed with a price in $. http://jp-carparts.com/lexus/partlist.php?maker=lexus&type=245120&cartype=4&fig=1702 parts 17408 No1 & No2 are the needed parts
  22. yes it does ,its just a pity that once you reset it ,it doesnt stay off until the next time you start the car rather than every few minutes the alarm re-appears
  23. pop up hood failure like the sensor warning you'd clear it then it would come back on again.
  24. i have just made a quick sketch of a cheap mod for the tail pipe, if you cut off the down turned tail pipe on the 300h then had a flat plate with 2 bolt holes and a length of tube welded onto the original tail pipe you could then mount the oem tail pipe finisher onto the oem exhaust.
  25. this just goes to prove the difference in knowledge between dealerships liverpool said the same to me it cant be done whilst chester fitted CC to my Ct its a pity the dealerships aren't owned by lexus so all dealers would be as knowledgeable as one another.
