i'm thinking the AA might of screwed up and maybe the booster cables where put on the wrong way which could of blown a main fuses. i know lexus cars come with AA breakdown & recovery but are they actually trained to work on a hybrid

i bet if it where their own car they could diagnose it without throwing loads of unnessary expensive parts at the car

what on earth did the AA do for a few hours it should be 5 minutes to get the car started once a battery is connected it seems your battery has just gone flat over the 2 week period ,where did they connect to to jump start. i have had a battery go flat and 5 minutes later we where going again as you just need to power up the computers so the hybrid side can start the car .

my advice would be to take screen shots from the website so you can prove the advertised specs for the car you bought just in case they update the website

there are options to alter the time on for the welcome lights i have seen them in carista

i noticed this a few years ago and on both the is's i have had i have tightened the metal inserts up to clamp the heat shield, i kept the heat shield on the car i just removed the bolts to gain access please see sketch below

hi lee richard as a person is really nice guy , i dealt with him when he worked at lexus chester he had a lucky escape and ended up in the liverpool dealership, lexus liverpool are the best everyone there is so friendly and welcoming, last year i bought my IS300h F sport from liverpool. this is my 2nd car from this dealership since 2013. enjoy your new car

i have a 17 plate F Sport i would say the ride is firm but comfortable, i snapped the ligaments in my lower back many years ago so i had to have a proper test drive to make sure i felt comfortable in the car before i purchased it 9 months later and no regrets.

i was going to recommend the ghost security system but after watching the video in the link below i wouldn't recommend it -
at the back of the glove box there is a plastic cover unclip this cover this gives access to the cabin filter, you will now see another cover that needs to be unclipped once removed you will see the filter just gently pull it out when refitting note the direction of flow on the filter if you put the filter in upside down you'll have the dust in the filter blown into the car when you next turn the fan on.

i'm sure i have the vgate adapter , you are best to ask the seller if the adapter is compatible with the carista app if it doesn't send it back to them and get a refund. i have noticed the cheaper elm's that dont work only have 1 circuit board in them the ones that work have 2 circuit boards, with carista giving you dealer diagnostic functions i think it uses a different protocol hence why the cheaper single circuit boards dont work . regarding pricing mine is a one off payment for lifetime subscription , i bought mine when the app first started.

you can change the brightness or the contrast of the screen this should make it easier to use the rear camera

why not use carwow or the likes to get a reduction in the purchase price then over the 1st 2yrs the depreciation wont be as great and your payments will be less.

the auto steering is on ,when i 1st overtook without having the need to indicate i felt the steering wheel vibrate and the steering wheel turned to bring the car back into its lane a bit of a surprise when it 1st happened i'm use to it now though.

there is possibly more competition in that sector with the likes of hyundai having a 5yr warranty & kia has a 7yr warranty. i do agree with you mike ,if your brand is so reliable why not give a long warranty you have nothing to lose.

i have asked that question also, the reply given was lexus dont need to offer a 5 year warranty as the other brands in their sector dont offer this length of warranty.
