  1. is there any colour in the water ??? if there is it may be the rear washer pipe has started to leak . if not look by the rear lights and the vents in the boot.
  2. Hi Basil your milage should get better after you get used to the hybrid driving style attached is an image of my mpg when i had a CT so there is room for improvement.
  3. before a recharge can be carried out you have to be able to create a vacuum in the system if there are any leaks then the recharge wont be carried out, when a vacuum is being created you will hear some rattling sounds, as the vacuum increases the rattling gets less until it stops then refilling takes place.
  4. i got mixed up i had it in my head you had an IS but i'm sure the adjustments can be made on your car also
  5. press the menu button and on the menu screen in the top right there is a display button press the display button and you can alter the brightness & contrast of the screen and / or the camera
  6. Hi Petr here are the results of a reliablity survey from Spetmeber 2018 https://newsroom.lexus.eu/lexus-again-rated-uks-most-reliable-manufacturer/
  7. you could possibly try an exhaust cut out here is a link for one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161371264652 here is a video of one in use (his welding isnt the best)
  8. good on you daniel for fitting it yourself
  9. buy it off ebay then just use the switch from it do it yourself dont waste your money to be honest there is nothing to go wrong its just an on / off switch
  10. the brake pedal will already have a connection to an ecu so the regen will work when the brake pedal is pressed this is probably used to disable the CC
  11. daniel just fit it yourself and save your money here is a link for fitting on a toyota 20 minutes works i didnt disconnect the battery as i didnt disconnect the airbag wiring due to me turning the steering wheel through 180 degrees this way you can lower the airbag out of the way
  12. i looked at an Hyundai ioniq a year ago and there was nothing nice about it there was a strong plastic smell in the car due to there being sooo much cheap plastic in there and to top it off they wouldnt even let me test drive the car until i came back with a settlement figure i would still go for the CT over the korean offerings its just a nicer place to be.
  13. i really enjoyed owning a CT i bought mine in Oct 2013 and had it for 20 months it was on 17" wheels with cross climates it was a comfortable quiet & an economical car to own, i then moved to the Is300h in Aug 2015 and again changed my car in April 2018 for another Is300h. my partner has an Auris hybrid and she loves it to the point she doesnt want to sell it. you wont go wrong with a lexus hybrid just make sure it has full lexus service history so you know its been cared for by a garage that knows the car inside out.
  14. i have also noticed this. first thing in the morning i can drive and run the battery down then after a bit of driving the battery level hasn't increased then suddenly it will jump up a few bars in one go.
  15. i bought some of them too a few years ago
  16. i used some window tint but i have used the following before https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Simply-FAD01-Fade-In-Sun-Strip-for-Car-Van-Front-Window-Windscreen-Self-Cling/152667181451?epid=20011385827&hash=item238bac518b:g:nPQAAOSwAqVZlYHk
  17. fit a sunstrip on the windscreen this will hide the label when the visor is in use. here is a picture of my windscreen the strip is a little awkward to see with the reflections though.
  18. Hi Jason looking at your location do you live by the sea ??? cars that live by the sea or more prone to rust due to the enviroment . still go and get it checked out at lexus.
  19. here is a screen shot of a company i have used in the past there front sensors are canbus compatible so they will turn themselves on & off when they are needed £205 for supply & fit with canbus interface
  20. just go to your dealership they are really cheap not worth your time and effort to try and get them elsewhere
  21. why couldn't the mechanic fit the turbo and dpf ??? i think he may of knew there where issues with starting so gave the above reason to get the car out of his garage, now you will have 2 garages passing the blame to the other. good luck sorting the car out.
  22. you can test loads of functions from the hidden service menu. get in the car and press the power button (dont press the brake pedal ) press and hold the menu button then turn the headlights on & off 3 times you will enter a service menu i think its the 2nd menu keep using the next page button and you will come across a dab reception menu turn off the ignition to exit the menu
  23. i find on my local motorway the Dab is very hit and miss i've never had no signal though, since you have only just bought the car inform the dealer and get them to look at the car
  24. here is a picture of the nsr dont know if the pic is of any use to you
  25. fahad you should be going back to lexus and demanding your money back, infact lexus leicester should be ashamed and offering you your money back without you having to ask since they have wrongly diagnosed the fault and made you pay for a part that isn't required, this takes me back years to when some of the high street service centres used to pay bonuses to the mechanics for selling parts this in turn made some mechanics fit parts that weren't required. a failed battery could of been confirmed by hooking up a good battery and seeing the car start. i'm just happy that lexus liverpool know what they are doing.
