  2. the IS does have an anti jack sensor as i found out when i removed A wheel to clean it.
  3. it doesn't take much to knock the geometery out speed bumps and pot holes are the favourite for doing this i have my car checked using the hunter system i know its not at everyones favourite place but kwikfit will check and adjust all four wheels 8 times over a 2 year period for a one off payment of £130 if lexus checked your geometry twice it would cost more than the £130
  4. if it is the invertor here is a link for a 2011 - 2014 ct invertor pretty cheap at £225 + £8.33 p&p + vat https://www.synetiq.co.uk/parts-breaking/details/high-voltage-inverter-11-to-14-lexus-ct-200h-hybrid-2zr-fxe---warranty-5207768/-/10934/
  5. the only difference betwwen jumping a hybrid & a standard car is knowing where to connect up to, with a standard car its easy as you can see the battery the tab on the hybrid is hidden in the fusebox
  6. hi john i have just found this part https://www.synetiq.co.uk/parts-breaking/details/tail-light-lexus-is-hybrid-13-16-300-f-sport-4-door-saloon-passengers---11073987/-/72841/
  7. a 12v house alarm backup up battery would be more than enough to power up a hybrid and they are small & light enough to carry in your hand and cheap to buy here is a link for the type i am talking about https://www.toolstation.com/sealed-lead-acid-battery/p79562
  8. if you do use an external power supply to keep your settings remember when you have disconnected the battery cables the + red cable will still be live so dont let it touch the body of the car. when i removed my flat battery to charge it i hooked up a spare battery under the bonnet using the jump starting tab in the fusebox, i then removed the battery cables and placed the + red cable into a thick glove with a cable tie around it to stop it from coming off this made sure it couldn't come in contact with the body.
  9. i know my car is the IS but i dont know why this function wouldnt be available on a premier model here is a video of where my setting is 20190920_201309.mp4
  10. i have a 17 plate F Sport and after power off the seat moves backwards to give you more room to get out , there is a setting for this where you can select off mid or full retract
  11. i have experienced this on my last IS the first time lexus did sort it out but it only lasted 12 months maybe and then it started to wear again, in the end i used the following company https://shop.bradleysmart.co.uk/ and purchased an aerosol of flexible paint for leather i wouldnt hesitate to use it again if its needed.
  12. as long as they are AGM batteries (absorbed glass mat) then they should be the same.
  13. i have just found another battery this time from euro carparts it is £269.99 then use code MID60 and the cost is then £148.49 i am sure there is a euro carparts near you.
  14. hi kenton what price is cost effective for you ??? here is a link for a yuasa battery on ebay but its £178.88 inc delivery https://www.ebay.co.uk/b/Car-Batteries/61504?Car%20Make=Lexus&Model=CT&Type=AGM%20Battery&rt=nc

    TPMS

above the pedals there is a panel where the foot light is located you will also see a tpms button this needs to be pressed and held for a few seconds for the system to be reset.
  21. its a little more work but you could get a plastic bag and press it into the cupholder holes spray some expanding foam into the bag once dry you would have the perfect shaped plug over the top you could then cover it in vinyl / leather. the long panel the cupholders are fitted in unclips easily hold the panel at the back and give it a good pull upwards until the whole panel is free, remove wiring plug for the controller then turn panel upside down and you will see 4 screws that hold the cup holders in place, remove holder and then apply the cover over the top and refit.
  22. hi ken the bins look similar to these for the toyotas , maybe they are the same https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-USED-TOYOTA-AURIS-PRIUS-AVENSIS-RAV-4-STORAGE-CUP-ASHTRAY-COIN-HOLDER/173956802696?hash=item2880a22888:g:rfgAAOSwf71dIcCz
  23. with all the panels being unclipped you can spray (mist them) them on the underside once they have been taken outside of the car so there isnt any mess or over spray on interior panels. over a week now since i removed my centre console and its been 99.9% creek free just the odd creek when gong over some uneven ground.
  24. Hi david i didnt use silicone grease just a silicone spray on the clips
