  1. i've had a ct and we have an Auris Mk2 the ct certainly has a firmer ride over the Auris and the Auris will ride the potholes better for reliabilty theres no difference between them the ct interior does look better and lexus will be more expensive for servicing and parts as already said test drive both and see which one suits you.
  2. i agree with you martin they shouldn't fail but electronic components will either last forever or fail relatively early on. in my garage i have a philips streamium music system and one day for no apparent reason it wouldn't turn on i had to purchase a power supply capacitor repair set to fix the issue.
  3. you can turn off the rear ventillation by pushing the louvre control to the outer edge of the vent you will feel a click when its in the off position.
  4. if your handy with the soldering iron you could have a look at the power supply as it is generally the electrolytic capacitor that fail , you'll know when the capacitor has failed as the top will of popped and become rounded there is normally a line or cross in the top this allows for the cap to become rounded, capacitors cost about £0.60 each so a cheap fix if you can do it yourself. you will know what to buy as on the side there will be some txt like 150uf 25v 150 microfarads @ 25volts when fitting them they have a positive & negative leg so you just need to make sure positive goes to positive & negative to negative take a photo before you remove them so you know the orientation.
  5. here is a company in edinburgh that repairs lexus amplifiers maybe they can give you some advice on what to check. https://svtservices.co.uk/lexus-mark-levinson-power-amp-repair-service/
  6. have you tried a reboot of the audio system by holding the power button in , i think its for 10 seconds it will then turn off and back on again
  7. if you have the use of a volt meter connect it across your battery with engine running at idle your looking for 13.8v - 14.2v turn on your headlights ,heated rear screen , heated seats , aircon (high load for winter driving) the voltage may drop below 13.8v if you then increase the revs to about 2000rpm and hold the revs you should see the voltage has returned back to 13.8v - 14.2v this is testing the output of the aternator if it doesn't you will possibly need a new alternator if it does possibly need a new battery
  8. the flashing of the dash lights for me is the indication that the battery is quiet flat i have an IS300h and when the battery has gone flat the flickering dash lights are the first sign i see.
  9. the enform app has been in America for many years now ,there are normally a set of buttons in the roof lining aswell i think 1 button is an sos location function and another is often programmed for a garage door / gates opener
  10. i have looked at bosch, ngk, denso and cannot see a cross reference for the IS300h maybe they are dealer only or a special order
  11. only if the wife doesn't drop the cup and break the handle
  12. i have a 17 plate version its the same as yours F sport, metallic black paint , led headlights with the black chromed wheels the suspension is firm but not uncomfortable i damaged the ligaments in my lower back years ago and i haven't had any back issues with the firm suspension in my 20 months of ownership.

  14. richard the symbol you can see is a wall charger and the cable coming from it not a petrol fuel gauge
  15. hi richard i also had the email earlier on today initially i thought it was a battery level gauge but it does look like a fuel symbol now you have mentioned it, hopefully it will have a quick charge time when charging from home about a month ago i looked at an E-Golf it had a 115 mile range and took 7.5hrs to charge from a home 32A wall charger or 17.5hrs from a 3 pin plug and overall i could save possibly £5 / week but have to be tethered to the electricity grid hopefully lexus can reduce the charge times for this car
  16. i have carista on my phone and can view each tyre pressure individually & program new tyre pressure sensors as well , handy if you use a winter set of wheels

  21. when i had my CT i changed my tyres to the dunlop sport maxx rt they where a far better tyre than the yoko's
  22. i went from a 63 plate luxury to a 17 plate Fsport the fake engine noise is still present but you can turn it off as with your car i cant compare the ride as the Fsport will have firmer suspension over a luxury i like the 10" screen & the Fsport clocks , the led headlight are ok never had an issue with them and the leather is still looking great.
