  1. look where your number plate lights are , there is a slot for your key
  2. shortly after the ghost system came into the market place i did see a video of the system being bypassed and it wasn't hard to do either if i remember correctly in less than 90 seconds and the car was started .
  3. i have some part numbers and prices from toolstation for you Sealed Lead Acid Battery 12V 12.0Ah 151 x 99 x 101mm - ( 69745) £25.98 Einhell Smart Battery Charger 220-240 V - ( 81069) £17.99 Einhell Booster Cables 3m - ( 86859) £9.98 £53.95 in total
  4. it is the 12v battery in the car with not knowing how long this crisis will go on for i would go to euro carparts website and order a 12v battery and a set of jump leads & charger just buy the cheapest they have for all 3 items and use this battery for jump starting (technically you arent jump starting just powering the computers) i bought a 2nd 12v battery after my battery went flat over a 3 week period in winter of inactivity, its just nice to know you have a 2nd source to help you out.
  5. my 17 plate has premium nav and the 10.25" screen i can use all of the screen , on the larger screen you can only have a 2 way split on the widescreen display whereas on the smaller screen you can have a 3 way split , initially i missed the 3 way split it doesnt bother me now and like the way it is.
  6. if you are going to use the audio in your car always have the car in the ready state the car will start & stop when needed to keep everything fully charged. "Please put shift lever into P" and Operation of electrical items restricted. But the car was already in park." this is a classic sign of the 12v battery being low you can also have the dashboard lights flickering on & off randomly , this happened to me a few years ago ,my battery was so low i couldn't even power down the system and had to let if stop by itself.
  7. you will need to have the paid version to reset airbag lights the free version lets you reset the eml light
  8. is this the way to protect your car at night by placing your keys next to a wireless charger so the signal cannot be detected
  9. i wonder if this is why lexus fit the wireless charger in the nx under the arm rest in the centre console to prevent this from happening
  10. hi Umar here is a company fairly close to you http://www.leedscaraudio.co.uk/ i'm sure they can help you
  11. each body panel will have a vin label its possibly 50mm x 10mm each panel should have matching labels if the car has been repaired by a non approved repairer these labels could possibly be missing as i believe they cost about £100 each and if a 2nd hand panel has been used it could have an incorrect vin number label on the panel. this is just a quick way to identify accident damage even if the repair is spot on.
  12. scroll to the black lexus CT there is a key slot in the boot door
  13. if you dont disconnect the battery place your keys in the house away from your car to make sure the abs pump doesnt startup and push the pistons out of the caliper when your pads are removed
  14. you do get a warning beep & msg telling you the traction battery is getting low and to put the car into P this happened to me many many years ago whilst helping my partner when she had a flat tyre and i nearly ended up with a flat battery
  15. initially i turned up to return the courtesy car but i checked the paint repair before i went in and they had used a touch up stick as the repair i entered the building was greated and told them i was going home in their car and to contact me when the car had been repaired properly. that went down really well as you can imagine with that i cleared off and went home. they did fix the rattle though.
  16. lexus chester made a mess of my car they scratched the paint on the A pillar when taking the dashboard out, had mucky paw prints over the light grey interior panels, gave me a rattle by the dash airbag and forgot to replace half the screws from the centre console and they wondered why i was ****** off with them, PHIL the service manager needs to grow a pair as he wouldn't confront the guy who left the screws out the guy should of been bollocked as he knew he hadn't replaced everything he had taken out.
  17. the dealer told me if they had to buy one it would cost £1200 for the part alone
  18. i believe the whole dash had to be removed from the car if you think about it the face air vents are at the top ot the ventillation unit and the floor vents are at the height of the drive shaft tunnel so overall its a big unit to take out , you also have to depressurise the aircon system aswell .
  19. i found it didnt make the noise if you left it on a low temperature when you increased the temp it then made the noise initially it didnt make the noise every day but after a few months it happened everyday but only when you first started the car in the morning and when leaving work 8hrs later
  20. i have had the same issue on my last IS300h the ventillation unit was replaced under warranty luckily for me here is my video of the noise apparently the dealer had never heard it before. i believe it is a worn pivot point that created the noise starting_up_with_creek.mp4
  21. once foot on the brake and the start button has been pressed your hybrid battery takes over and runs the car so dont worry.
  22. i contacted lexus regarding my 1st mot and if it failed on a part under warranty if i would still be covered, here is their reply Thank you for your email regarding your Lexus IS300h. Lexus UK would like to reassure you that for the foreseeable future, we intend to take a flexible and sympathetic approach to any service schedule or warranty issues which may arise due to delays caused by the COVID-19 outbreak. My only recommendation would be to book your car in with your Lexus Centre as soon as business returns to normal to have your service and MOT work carried out, as oppose to waiting for the full 6 month period until the "new" MOT expiry date. Of course, we do not know when this will be yet, which is why we aim to be as flexible as possible with our customer's where we can.
  23. another option if you aren't going to be using your car at all during this current time would be to disconnect the battery only the clock, preset radio stations and 1 touch up & down of the windows would need to be reset afterwards.
  24. my partner has a 66 plate toyota auris hybrid her car doesnt have an alarm but does have an immobilser i think this can be said for alot of car manufacturers , an immobilser will help prevent a car being stolen the alarm only makes a noise that can be silenced easily if you know where the sounder is fitted
  25. the gold membership isn't something offered by the dealerships , i know johnsons toyota in liverpool know of the gold membership discounts so their lexus dealership next door will know of it i'm sure , the gold membership is something the dealers can sign up for / offer its not something they have to do
