  1. i now have a test drive on saturday the 6th june hopefully they will still have the car
  2. well here is my update i have used the ventillated seats now for 2 days since i completed the mod and the base of the seat is really cold and i can now feel air blowing through the seat , my seat position probably helps as i have my seat as low as possible this means the fan is as close to the ducting as it can possibly be
  3. right now i am waiting to be able to view and test drive the car, with work commitments i can only test drive on a saturday as the dealership is closed on sundays so hopefully on the 6th of june they can fit me in.
  4. i have just made the modification from some small bass port ducting i tried it on the drivers seat first and then turned both seats on the drivers seat is noticeably better , i will see how good it is tomorrow when i go to work mid morning.
  5. my opinion of the IS's heated seats is they are rubbish the seats get warm and not much hotter than that, the heated seats in the CT are fab you can cook on those seats and the IS's ventilated seats are poor so if you dont have this feature your not missing out on much.
  6. you can tell if you have the ventilated seats as the seat heater button has a top and bottom to the switch heated at the top, vented at the bottom of the switch.
  7. thanks colin it looks like the premium nav has the 10 speaker set up which is good as i didnt want to have the basic 6 speaker set up
  8. Hi all i am thinking of buying an RC300h on a 66 plate would anyone have a specification sheet from lexus for this year of RC the ad states premium nav i just wanted to see what i can expect to get as std thanks in advance
  9. go on sean you can tell me and it wont go any further 🙂
  10. thought i would share what lexus liverpool has put in place to reopen this is the dealership i use. https://video.citnow.com/vtYWwRbX0v7?f24_pid=b7421cc4-7370-46ca-b129-680fcca1a0fc&utm_campaign=Johnsons Workshop Opening&utm_source=force24&utm_medium=email&utm_content=textlink
  11. hi whatever you do dont go to lexus for them to get it repaired here is a link for you :- https://svtservices.co.uk/lexus-mark-levinson-power-amp-repair-service/
  12. i am on my 3rd lexus since 2013 and have never had to have an aircon refill, refilling will depend on usage, using the aircon on a regular basis is the best practise to keep it in good working order , if its not used regulary the seals can dry out and stick to the compressor shaft and when you turn the AC on the seals can be damaged
  13. if you leave the car turned on and in neutral you will get the bleeping sound as it will be warning you your battery isnt charging and going flat this happened to me many years ago in my ct it may of only been 15 minutes but it was enough for the car to tell me to shut down and restart the hybrid system. try hooking up another 12v battery to the battery in the boot or to the tag under the bonnet in the fuse box
  14. with the 100,000 mile service and due to the age of car the only important thing for me would be that its done, try and have it serviced at a lexus / toyota independant as it looks better in the service book rather than having a stamp from mickey mouse auto's round the corner from you.
  15. i had the same thoughts as yourself, getting low on refrigerant and if it is low just imagine how cold it will get when its been refilled brrr brrr brrr
  16. yes same here what browser is everyone using i am on firefox 76.0.1 its been happening to me for a couple of weeks like already said a pita
  17. here is a video showing what i have said https://www.google.co.uk/search?sxsrf=ALeKk01BUVOGeGu7Dq_Fc1CVDTyhBQFo8A%3A1589645279118&source=hp&ei=3w_AXt34BJqHjLsP69qH8Aw&q=speaker+polarity+using+a+battery&oq=speaker+polarity+using+a+battery&gs_lcp=CgZwc3ktYWIQAzIGCAAQFhAeMgYIABAWEB46BQgAEIMBOgIIADoECCMQJzoFCAAQkQI6BAgAEAo6CAghEBYQHRAeUG1Y9ytg_S9oAHAAeACAAdwDiAGUHZIBCjIyLjcuMi4wLjGYAQCgAQGqAQdnd3Mtd2l6&sclient=psy-ab&ved=0ahUKEwid5LaR4rjpAhWaA2MBHWvtAc4Q4dUDCAg&uact=5#kpvalbx=_5w_AXpKoEY_zgQbf4ZWYAg27
  18. here is a pictorial of the headunit & speaker wiring no colour codes though the condenser is a crossover so you will only ever get high frequencies to these cables.
  19. for a quick confirmation if you could get hold of another battery and hook it up to yours then try turning the car on and play the music and see what happens if it works as it should then for certain you know the culprit
  20. how many speakers do you have in the car is it the basic 6 speaker setup
  21. if you have the original speaker and know which wire went to which terminal on the speaker get a 1.5v or a 9v battery and connect directly to the speaker , you will see the speaker cone move either inwards or outwards when the speaker moves outwards make a note of which terminal on the speaker is connected to the + of the battery obviously the positive wire goes here.
  22. the original adapters will have a rubber seal or some foam to make an airtight seal against the door panel and stop water ingress to make a seal you can use anything as long as it can be compressed so it can confrom to the profile of the door panel
  23. regarding your speaker adapters did you use silicon between the adapter ring and the door panel as you need to make an air tight seal between the two and the same goes for the speaker to adapter, between these pieces you could you the white foam type material that you find around a tv / pc monitor to protect the screen this will help to create a seal, a speaker needs to create pressure in an enclosure i.e. inside door... if this pressure escapes on the front side of the panel this maybe a reason for poor sound quality, you could use dynamat behind the speaker on the door skin as this will stop the panel from resonating , as a cheap option you could use some self adhesive flashing on a roll as its dense and will stop the door skin from vibrating.
  24. i would match the output of the audio to a speaker that has the same / similar nomimal rating as the nominal rating is where the speaker can be run all day and will sound the best, if you use a speaker with a higher nominal rating you will under drive the speaker and it will under perform likewise if youhave a speaker with a lower nominal value you will probably damage the speaker over a period of time due to over driving the speaker and making it work harder than it likes.
