  1. each time the window closed it was probably pressing the deflector further into the recess until it found the correct position
  2. i know it is for a lexus but the video is for a wind deflector issue and thought it may help you
  3. commission for upselling and doing nothing this is why they gave you 30 days to make a decision good of them wasnt it.
  4. i have the premium nav and i've never had to do anything like this i know what you mean though as our previous Auris had a system like that and due to the interface it wasnt used
  5. mechanical brakes only work at speeds of 7mph or less and in an emergency situation the car can sense its an emergency by the speed / pressure applied to the brake pedal.
  6. there are 3 colours of arrows red - petrol being used for charging amber - regen charging blue - running in ev mode

  9. the engine will start straight away if the outside temp is cold, traction battery is low on charge but one reason that many dont think about is the cabin temperature, when you start the car in the morning if you have left the cabin temp at 22° from the day before your car will know to achieve the cabin temperature you want the engine has to be running to heat the coolant water up enough to provide you with your selected temperature, so if you dont want the engine to start 1st thing lower the cabin temperature to 16° then on most starts the engine will stay off for a while.
  10. the dealership wont be the ones applying the paint protection it will for sure be passed to a 3rd party, lexus dont have any body repair centres of their own and always use a 3rd party lexus approved centre for any remedial work to be carried out so all you will be doing if you pay lexus is giving them money for nothing.
  11. 3 yr policy for 18" wheels is £191.13 3yr policy for 18" tyres up to £150 / tyre is £186.56 3yr scratch & dent policy is £249.74 3yr gap policy for a car costing 30K is £189.21 total £816.64 dont forget i dont know the size of your wheels 17" is cheaper and i based the gap with the car being on a pcp with a value of 30K
  12. isn't the dealer generous giving you 30 days to decide in the hope they will make some more commission from upselling these products to you the extra you will be paying at the dealer will be to cover the commission for the sales person , have a look at this link gap insurance from £93 they also cover all the other items the dealer offered you https://totallossgap.co.uk/landing/Gap-Insurance-1?gclid=CjwKCAjw57b3BRBlEiwA1ImytnGAnY4ZWig32wZ1CK8UaCDWkvVwFp79nP1Z-D11lcd7WHhUQcGndBoC07oQAvD_BwE
  13. run your finger under the seat base and about 200mm in from the edge you will find a loop put you hands either side of it and sharply pull upwards do the same on the other side the seat base will now come out at the bottom of the side bolster there is a bolt remove this then slide the bolster up and it will unclip do the same for the other side you can then start to unclip the shelf cover so its not a hard job to do.
  14. this is what you will notice straight away when going between the modes and you can be on the move when you change mode aswell eco - really slow acceleration normal - slow acceleration sport - enjoyable acceleration
  15. here is the wiring diagram for the 6 speaker audio system you will notice there is a condensor in the system this is acting as a filter so the 2 dash speakers will only ever be used for tweeters unless you run another set of cables.
  16. the new IS really hasnt changed enough since its a NEW IS and not a facelift, i wouldn't be getting excited and ordering one i'd probably just buy a newer version of my 17 plate. my likes are :- front grill, door mirrors, rear arches, slim C pillar dislikes :- the red light bar across the back end
  17. straight away i thought of the Ford Mach-e when i saw the Audi image above
  18. if you take your wheel of and have alook at the rear of the wheel you will see the diameter , J & offset values
  19. here is a link for you https://www.dvdgpsnav.com/blog/lexus-ct-200h-radio-replacement-upgrade-with-aftermaket-navigation/
  20. today i had a test drive of a 16 plate RC300h premier in the hope of buying it but what a let down it was i thought the premier would of been better than this. likes bodywork styling tyre pressure screen dislikes 7" screen split in 2 no radar & Pcs no active lines on the rear camera road & wind noise track pad ML audio (cd left in car by dealer) no mpg display so i'll be staying with the IS now it feels a much better car
  21. i have been told a while ago from a lexus dealership that the is no 4th gen IS but there are some exciting releases planned
  22. i have been thinking of using the other port in the floor vent to direct air to the seat back and using some flexible conduit https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/201590487588?chn=ps&var=500805046288&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&itemid=500805046288_201590487588&targetid=912555554137&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9046509&campaignid=9441124701&mkgroupid=91043569850&rlsatarget=pla-912555554137&abcId=1140496&merchantid=110501637&gclid=CjwKCAjwztL2BRATEiwAvnALcuGC-MIlmfpKNm2gVcOd4N15URgmSPEpjFbHfmjaAocJjcyNGqWRtRoCclUQAvD_BwE
  23. initially i had it set to floor once the seat had started to cool down i changed it to windscreen and floor.
  24. a difference i have noticed between the IS300h & the RC300h is the position of the mouse controller, in the IS it's on the left side of the centre console and it has a comfortable feel whilst driving and using it, on the RC its on the right side of the centre console so its closer to the drivers seat so is it still comfortable to use or does it feel a bit awkward and squashed.
