black is a great colour as long as you are prepared to spend the time & affort
looking after the paintwork and making it gleam

in the overhead console there are 2 white lights
the holes they are in are about 4mm in diameter
so they can be missed i think they light the
centre console around the usb ports
these also change to red when in sport mode

Hi Jon
there is no right or wrong time for using sport mode
some owners will have it in Sport mode all the time
some wont use it to help conserve fuel
others will flick it into Sport when then need to make progress
the choice is yours
the main thing is to enjoy your car

my last car a black IS300h F sport on a 17 plate is still for sale at Lexus Sheffield
its been a absolute gem of a car to own

could the 12v Battery trigger the alarm if it where low on charge
-
the RC and the GS both have individual tyre pressures
someone on here purchased a module to give you
this output on their cars screen but i cant for the life of me
remember the members name
-
after your cars been serviced at lexus if you look at the tyre report
regarding tyre wear you can tell if the pressures are correct as you
will have even wear across the tyre OR
tyres under inflated- more tread around the centre
tyres over inflated - less tread around the centre
-
i always kept my IS300h's tyre pressures at 36psi / 2.5bar

HI Phil
i think as long as Lexus services the car back to where it should be for its milage it then
becomes a lexus approved car and comes with 1yr warranty and AA breakdown cover
just make sure the next car you look at has a full Lexus service history
just a thought have you thought of an IS300h considering the milage you will be driving each year

Only annoying points I have so far... typical saloon and no rear wiper (why?!)
Would like a digital clock somewhere i can quickly glance at!
Anyway hiya, sure I will go back to lurking.

welcome to the forum Vicky
if the car was a hatchback there would be room to place a motor in the
panelling on the rear door , but since the IS300h is a saloon with a proper boot
and a fixed rear shelf its a lot harder to locate a rear wiper
if your desparate to have a digital clock buy a phone holder and use your phone clock
or get one of these
having the analogue style of clock in a car shows the car has some Class
you wont find one in a vauxhall for instance

a couple of years ago i took our Auris hybrid to lexus liverpool to have its mot
as it saved me £15, by the time the mot was done
i unexpectedly spent £29k on an 11 month old 17 plate IS300h F sport ,
i only asked what the options where on my pcp that would end in 6mth's
i think the purchace more than out weighed the £15 saving i would of been making.

Hi Joe
having the test drive was the worst thing you could of done
as you know you'll be spending money afterwards 🙂,
buying the car you've just test driven
enjoy your new car when you collect it.

speedometers are allowed to over read by 10%
the difference between a new tyre and a worn out tyre
can be around 10.8mm on the diameter
i.e. 7mm of tread new to 1.6mm of tread worn out = 5.4mm on the radius so 10.8 on the diameter
this will make the speedometer more accurate when the tyres are close to being worn out.
-
when you have a new set of tyres on your car the speedo will appear to under read
as your tyres are nearing their minimum tyre tread depth they will indicated a faster speed
a new tyre will travel further on one rotation of the tyre hence under reading on the speedo
