  1. Sorry you can't make it Simon and Sarah :( Hopefully catch you guys at another event soon. :) Leaving shortly. :)
  2. Nice one Tom. :) It's alive!! Lol. ;) I'll excuse the scabby wheels if you promise to clean under your finger nails! Lol. No in all seriousness, well done for getting it back together in such a short timeframe. Very impressive mate. :) See you guys around 11/noon on Sunday. :)
  3. Nice one Stu. :) Hoping to get mine cleaned up tomorrow, and also get my carbon vented bonnet installed. ;) Got my table booked for lunch with the missus at 12:30pm as well. :) What time are you intending on arriving Stu? Route planner reckons its 77 miles from mine. Journey time is approximately 1hr 40mins.
  4. Even if they do take a year or two to change from the Tetra radios, it's still a lot of money for something that will ultimately become redundant. You also have the possibility of it detecting a Fire Engine, Doctor Car, Fire Car, Ambulance etc which may not even be on the same road as you (crossover bridges etc). Add the fact it only works if the radio is transmitting, and you have to ask if it still represents good value for money.
  5. Looking good Tom. :) You'll get it done mate. ;) It's strange but whenever it comes to getting something done to the car, it happens! ;) Can't say the same for the DIY and jobs the wife asks me to do! Lol.
  6. Looking forward to this. :) Not long now. Hoping to get time to fit my carbon vented bonnet before the meet. Depends on whether I can get a hand from one of my mate's. Fingers crossed! ;)
  7. Thanks Sham. :) Plastidip is such a cool product. Completely reversible (just peel off), and can be re-done whenever it starts to look shabby. Getting my exhaust from H&S in 3 weeks! ;) Can't wait! :)
  8. Sorry to hear you had to sell up chap. :( Admire you though for realising the upcoming costs would be too much to cover. :) Hopefully the Megane fills the gap till you can come back to the Lexus family. All the best mate. Cheers. Pete :)
  9. hey stu. :) cheers.Yes, going to do the Lexus and IS badges. Not the F badge though. :) thanks mate. Not long till the meet now. :) thanks. Really don't think there is a nicer design, weight, finish that works much better really. :)
  10. Hi Guys, So I got my Wald replica spoiler fitted last week. :) Also got the upper carbon roof spoiler to match. The Lexus badge has been plastidipped. Next up we have my anodised blue lug caps, and flat carbon Wedsport center caps for the new wheels. Hoping to get my carbon vented bonnet fitted this week as well. :)
  11. Lol Tom. ;) And here was me worrying about getting some minor body mods installed including my Seibon TSII vented carbon hood! :) Clearly you have more work to do than me mate! ;) Best of luck with that. Look forward to meeting you in 17 days and counting! Lol.
  12. So plan will be to book lunch for the wife and I. :) I had already worked out it would be easier for each of us to sort out our own bookings etc, as I doubt they would have the space or desire to do a booking for the whole group! ;) Guessing they may be quite busy as well being a Sunday? Should be able to stagger things enough to get everyone fed that wants it though. Looking forward to this now. :) Not long to go!
  13. No worries Mark. :) Think he mentioned there were three of them already at the workshop! Lol. I'll make sure he puts mine aside for you as well chap. :) Cheers. Pete
  14. Sounds good Stu. :) Look forward to seeing the results. Just got my Meguiars G220 random orbital polisher. The one I brought back from the States didn't do very well! Lol. Guessing 220V on a 110v machine wasn't ideal! ;) Now I just need to find some time to use it! ;)
  15. Crikey! :( How do you plan on getting that home Mark?! I can probably get Hayward & Scott to remove it for me, but I don't intend on trying to fit that in the boot! Lol. You are welcome to arrange collection from their premises in Basildon? I'll confirm once I hear back from them. Cheers. Peter :)
  16. But are they though? If you compare M3 and C63 prices, I don't feel the majority of IS-F's are overpriced. Would also seem the IS-F's are largely lower mileage than the others as well. It's all a question of what people are willing to pay. At less than a fully spec'd new Focus, I still think these are great value for money. :)
  17. Ok Mark. :) Will see what they can do mate. My quote was a bit lower because I told them I wouldn't need to keep my OEM system. Apparently the fake tip area is a royal PITA to remove, but maybe the rear section is a bit easier? I'll ask them when I drop the car off chap. :) Cheers. Peter
  18. Sounds like Hayward & Scott? With the mufflers, can they just cut them off for what you need Mark? Wasn't sure if you need the pipework as well??
  19. Yes indeedy! Finally got it booked in Stu. :) Sadly H&S had nothing available till the week after the Cambridge meet. :( I'm thinking of getting another dyno run done afterwards. See how the lighter wheels and new exhaust compare to my last runs. ;) We can always do a Bluewater meet in say May? Looking forward to hearing how it sounds. :)
  20. Will do Mark. :) Car is getting dropped off on Saturday 18th April. Should be ready to collect the following Saturday (25th). I'll ask them to put the mufflers in the boot for me. I am not as worried about my neighbours! Lol. Going with 2nd de-cat and resonator delete! ;) Will be the first one H&S have done. Should be interesting to see how it sounds compared to say Stu's car. :)
  21. Good question! Was holding off on doing the recall work till my service (June time). Will probably contact Lexus Woodford though to see what they have to say about it. I'm guessing the fuel issue is just one recall? Maybe they confused things by referencing fuel pipe, and then pressure sensor? My understanding is it is down to the fuel pressure gasket? Will let you guys know what they come back with. :)
  22. The O2 conditioner is a very clever device from what I can tell. :) Glad to hear it's working for you chap. I'm not sure on the pins mate. I doubt it would be anything to do with that though? I have never had any issues with VSC after dis-connecting the battery. The failure to start on the first try after re-installing the battery is 100% normal though. :) Fingers crossed it keeps on working fine for you. Keep us posted.
  23. Hi Mark. :) I'll have my set off the car soon? Will be booking myself in for the H&S system in the next few weeks hopefully. Happy to ask them to keep them if you want? Not sure if any of the guys already running the H&S kept their stock systems?!
  24. Nice. :) Seems like the drivers seat bolster is a weakness on these? Be good to see what products they recommend to feed/maintain the leather. Keep us posted chap. :)
  25. So are you still getting yours detailed Stu? Christian at Invisible Touch Detailing does great work: http://www.invisibletouchdetailing.co.uk/index.html He's even done an IS-F in the past. :) http://www.invisibletouchdetailing.co.uk/showroom/LEXUSISF.html I'll probably do mine this year. :)
