  1. Cheers chaps. :) I really like how it looks now. The less is more approach worked well with the overall styling. Shame my windscreen cracked tonight, but it'll mean a new chip free one in a few weeks! ;) Poxy pothole! :(
  2. Hey Chaps, So finally had some time to give the beast a good clean, and snap some photos with the newly painted bonnet. The vents are still carbon, and the bodyshop have lacquered them for added protection. The sharper eyed will also notice the rear has been partially de-badged. ;) Hope you like it. :) Next up is my Novel carbon fender ducts, service and recall work at Lexus Woodford, BC BR coilovers..... busy times! :) Cheers. Pete
  3. Possibility I may have another kit in a few days for sale if anyone wants one still? This was my first kit that went missing in the States, but has since been found! ;) PM me if you're interested. Cheers. Pete :)
  4. Welcome Ross! :) Can't believe I missed this thread! ;) Saw your TT6 up on the Supra forum (I'm a member on there as well!). Great cars these IS-F's. :) Bullet-proof reliable much like the Supra mate. Got a bucket long list of mods on mine (lots of carbon additions, H&S exhaust, TRD parts, Cusco strut brace etc). Hope you find a nice one chap. Any questions, fire away. Happy to help. :) Cheers. Pete
  5. Thanks Mark. :) Will be in touch chap. :)
  6. Cheers Andy. :) Will need to leave it for a while. Got more DIY to finish off around the house, then off to France for Le Mans (not in the F sadly!), then heading to New Jersey to sort out a couple of insurance cases. I've also got the log burner being installed at the house over the next week or two, followed by the shutters for the two bay windows! :( Good news is we just had 5 huge trees cut down at the front of the house. :) Enough logs for 2 winters once they are seasoned, and no more branches, sap, bird dropping hazards if the car is on the driveway! ;)
  7. I know guys. Slack on my part! ;) Been up to my armpits in paint recently! Lol. Got some re-modelling going on at our house. Did manage to get the bonnet painted last week, and my 'Lexus' and 'IS' badges removed, panel filled, and re-painted. :) Car will actually be heading back to H&S when I get time to have a couple of small silencers added where the secondary cat's were removed. It's just a bit too loud right now unfortunately. :( Drown on long journeys is painful! :( Wife and I both had headaches when we arrived! ;) Should get those fitted by the beginning/middle of June. :) I'll try and organise a couple of videos after that. :) Maybe Stu can pop over to help? ;) Cheers guys. Peter :)
  8. No mate. Early IS-F's were seriously stiff. The BC coilovers are softer, as are the KW's, etc. :)
  9. As Stu said, coilovers are the only real option chap. :) I went for BC BR coilovers with the uprated Swift spring option. My springs are actually softer than what most of the U.S. guys are running. 14/10 as opposed to 16/12. Getting them the beginning of June. :) Can't wait!! ;) Cheers. Peter
  10. Good stuff!! :) Looking forward to seeing some photos and your initial thoughts after you've got it home matey. Think you will be pleasantly surprised! ;) Awesome cars. Enjoy!! Cheers. Pete
  11. Sounds good Mark. :) I may need to get my secondary cat's back mate. Will largely depend on whether the car will still pass the sniff test for the MOT! ;) I'll ask my tester (also my bodyshop guys) to probe it next week when they are painting the bonnet for me. Hopefully it'll be fine without them, but just in case I thought I'd mention it now! :) Look forward to seeing how you get on with the silencers chap. :) Cheers. Pete
  12. Lol. Think of it this way, at least you know you will be returning it soon! For some people they own one of those all the time! ;) You'll really appreciate your car when you get it back mate! :)
  13. Oh dear! :( You're right, CT200h is a luxury courtesy car in comparison! ;) Coolant leak could be building up under the intake manifold? If so, you can't see it. Should be apparent when they do the fuel pipe recall work though? Guys in the States have saved on labour getting it fixed that way. Not sure if the warranty covers it? Enjoy the Noddy mobile! ;) ;)
  14. Cool stuff Mark. :) Did you get my secondary cats as well?
  15. Does 35 exactly count?! Lol. Especially given the extent of mods I've done to mine! ;) Plenty of younger owners on here chap. Had my first sports car at 19! ;) Nissan 300ZX twin turbo targa top! ;)
  16. Personally, I think it's the white leather interior that's putting people off. :( Can't say I'd be struck on it if I was looking for one. I know a few guys have the white leather interiors on here, but I'd hate it! Too much stress keeping it clean! Lol.
  17. Guessing you mean my Aerworx carbon front splitters?? ;) Got them from a group guy in the U.S. chap. :) Mine may be for sale at some point. Thinking of getting a full carbon front lip. :) I'll let you know mate. Cheers. Peter
  18. Here's an old thread on the subject that might help as well Nick. :) http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/81854-isf-wheels/
  19. Hey Nick, See here on my old OEM wheels. Notice each spoke has a blade like design? The idea is as the wheel rotates, it pushes airflow to the brakes to aid cooling. If you have them the wrong way around, the spokes push the hot air back on the brakes. All you need to do is have a garage put the drivers side wheels on the passenger side, and the passenger side wheels on the drivers side. See how each spoke on mine goes ridge, flat, ridge, flat..... Now look at yours. Flat, ridge, flat, ridge....... If you visualise it in motion, you'll see how yours blocks air, mine cut air towards the brakes. Hope this helps. :)
  20. Congratulations Nick. :) Very nice example from what I can see. As others have already said, mileage is nothing to worry about on these amazing cars provided they are looked after (clearly this one was). Keep an eye out for upcoming meets. Be nice to have another one in attendance. Wishing you many happy miles of motoring! Cheers. Peter
  21. Congrats! :) Welcome to a very exclusive club indeed! ;) I'm sure you'll be very happy with it like the rest of us. :) If you have any questions, fire away. We are a pretty friendly and supportive group. ;) You would do well to check out the US owners forum as well. Plenty of help, advice, guides etc. Enjoy! :)
  22. Cheers guys! :) Dropped it off on Saturday with Hayward & Scott. :) Hopefully picking it up on Friday. Going to be a long week! Lol. ;)
  23. Hey Guys, Just a few updated pictures from the Cambridge meet last Sunday. :) Next up is my custom Hayward & Scott exhaust. :) Drop the car off tomorrow morning. Mine will be their first one without secondary cat's, and I'm also getting my real quad tips ceramic coated in black. :) Will then be looking to get a quote from my bodyshop to remove the Lexus and IS badging from the rear, and paint most of the bonnet body colour (SGM). Just going to leave the vents carbon. They also need to adjust the latch if they can, to make it easier to open and close. After that it's a break till June when I get my service and recalls done at Lexus Woodford, plus fit my BC BR coilovers with uprated Swift springs. ;) Also getting a set of the carbon fibre Novel fender ducts. :) No sign of me slowing down with the mods just yet! ;) Lol. Hope you like it guys. :)
  24. And stop at junctions with red traffic lights! Lol. ;)
  25. Great seeing you all today. :) Nice venue for sure. Here's a couple pics I snapped when I was the only one in the car park! ;) Look forward to seeing you all again soon. :)
