  1. I don't recall seeing any joins for the two pipes from start to finish, but will hopefully get some photos when I drop the car off with H&S. The addition of the two small silencers in my current system certainly reduced a lot of the drone issues I was having, but there is still some drone there that I have learnt to live with. Could H&S add an H or X pipe to their current system, sure, can't see why not?! The fact these systems are custom built for each and every car they have been fitted to, should mean a greater possibility for changes to the design to suit each and every owners individual needs. Will the costs vary, without doubt they will to factor what hardware you want fitted. You also need to keep in mind the quality of the work and materials H&S use are second to none. A lot of cheaper systems are cobbled together in places like China using very low quality stainless steel to keep costs of manufacture down. As anyone who has been to the H&S workshop can tell you, they have row upon row of top end stainless steel they use on all their systems. The fact so many exotic car owners choose H&S to build them exhausts is not a coincidence. I'll keep you posted on how things go when I drop the car off with them in the next few weeks.
  2. May well be a possibility of getting something built by H&S if there was enough interest? I've been talking with them recently because my exhaust video attracted lots of interest from the States. They've asked to borrow my car so they can mock up a system to start selling across the pond. Think Josh Lee over there wants to be their vendor/stockist, but I'm still trying to speak to him about it. Suprisingly the different design without the 'X' pipe is what people like in the States I guess! All I was thinking is my car will be with them for a while, so maybe they can figure something out for those of you who want the option of valves to quieten things down? I seem to recall Stu was talking to them about this back when he had his exhaust done? Pretty sure they had an option to fit the electronic valves you are talking about? I went with H&S because being a UK company, any warranty issues are easily rectified. Can you imagine having to ship an exhaust back to the States for example if it developed a fault?! Would cost a fortune! Just thinking they already know the car, have a great reputation, are keen and friendly car lovers, and the costs are reasonable for what you get in my opinion. Happy to voice any questions or concerns to H&S if you want me to chaps? Cheers. Pete
  3. Morning. Haven't forgotten about this, my wife has been ill all weekend, so didn't get time to take any photos I'm afraid. May have time to snap a couple tonight for you. Will be in touch chap. Cheers. Peter
  4. Welcome! Mods you say, I'm all ears! Nice to hear someone else this side of the pond might be looking to modify their F. . Let me know if you need any help or advice with parts etc. All the best, Peter
  5. I'm pleased with the finish on my refurbished Wedsports. These are dark anthracite. Work was done by Rimtec in Meopham. Notice the deep shine.
  6. Try this from across the pond. Think Halfords offer a make up service if you give them the paint code? http://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-f-2008-2014/572576-wheel-touch-up-paint-from-sewell.html
  7. I don't believe there is such a thing for the OEM wheels? Pretty sure others have tried various options, but no exact match has been discovered. Think you will have to put up with them till you get the refurb or exchange chap.
  8. Thanks Stu. Hope you're still enjoying the Lotus? Might try to arrange another Bluewater meet soon. Hoping the weather improves soon!
  9. Thanks Dave. Really means a lot to me. Can be quite tough at times when you are doing something like this. Last thing I want is to devalue the brand, or fit parts that make the car look cheap. Lexus aren't known for making performance cars apart from the LF-A(but that's way out of most people's price range!). the IS-F is an amazing machine in so many ways. I'm hoping my car will help people see that for themselves. Really isn't much that can compare to the F. Spacious, reasonably economical compared to other big V8 cars, cheaper than its rivals to maintain, well spec'd (our 8-spend box came out in 2008 remember), and possibly up to 650-700HP once the supercharger kit is finished! Add some personal touches (I like real carbon, I also like to hear my engine. What's the point in buying a V8 otherwise! Lol), and you have a great all rounder. Hopefully you'll be at one show or another. Be good to see things in person. Photos don't do it justice!
  10. Hi Kieron. How about the States? Guessing you could source a set from one of the breaker sites for a lot less? Could probably help out with getting them here if needed? Just a thought.
  11. Lol, whilst exhaust and headers add more overall, the tune will benefit even a stock F it seems! Rafi also offers discounts on further mapping should you add mods that need it. I'm hoping to do PPE headers next. After that it will be supercharger and remap. . Resistance is futile! Lol. Now go buy some shiney parts!
  12. No worries chap. there are more up to date photos and mods on my build thread over on the Club Lexus site. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/build-threads/790697-my-build-thread-from-across-the-pond.html Steering wheel retrim was the most recent thing. Ordered my new seats, got a few more pieces being skinned in real carbon at the mall moment including a bespoke triple gauge pod for my Defi gauges. wallet?! You don't need one of those! Lol. Mine is always being emptied on mods at the moment! Check out RR-Racing. They can now remap our ECU's. They are also finalising a supercharger kit which should be amazing! Love these cars.
  13. Not at all. . My systems are down at work so I decided to download this months Japanese Performance. They've put a small write up of my F in the readers rides section! Did say they might do that when you submit for a full feature. Think I'll do the main feature in Banzai. PM me if you like. Saves hijacking this thread!
  14. Sounds good. You do see a few brake kits up for sale on the US forum? I spend a lot of my time over there. Worth signing up if you haven't already.
  15. Watch this space! Feature will happen, just trying to get a few more things done first.
  16. Hey Gib. Possibly. Depends how far I've got with my current mods. If not, will be doing some other shows before the end of the year for sure. Got a feature to do with Banzai or Japanese Performance as well. Should be fun! Cheers. Peter
  17. Hi Chaps, Not trying to tread on any toes, but I have my OEM tips in the garage if needed as well. Kept them after my H&S exhaust was installed. One side was repaired after I noticed one tip was loose when I was polishing them. Other one is untouched I think. Highly recommend getting some extra spot welds done before you install them. Otherwise you could be going through a few of them! Pretty sure mine was loosened by the previous lady owner reversing them into things on a frequent basis! Anyway, just thought I'd mention it as another option. PM me if needed. Cheers. Peter
  18. Welcome! Nice work so far with the cleaning and paint correction. The soft paint is a blessing and a curse! Bird poo for example seems to ghost etch in the lacquer within minutes! I've also got the Meguiars DA polisher G220. Haven't used it yet though! like the light interior on yours. Look forward to seeing your progress. Cheers. Peter
  19. Hey Gib, Other option is to get all 4 re-finished in a darker anthracite colour by Rimtec in Meopham? Think I paid £255 or so for mine? Came out really nice though. :) I'm dropping my car off Monday to have them re-do my Wedsports as it happens. Wife curbed my drivers side front! :(
  20. Thanks. :) Should look even better once I get the last bits installed. :) As I said, does take a fair while to turn these round unfortunately. :( These bits were sent off to him back on the 23rd October. Guessing it'll be around 3months from start to finish!
  21. Have a look here mate: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/91800-teaser-pic-of-my-rear-armrest-refinished-in-genuine-carbon-fibre/ and here: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/94631-carbon-door-switch-covers-installed/ Only issue I would say is Paul takes a long time to get these bits done. :( He is a very busy guy, so I just have to bite my lip and wait as patiently as possible! Lol. The results are stunning though as anyone would tell you who's seen my car in the flesh at one of the meets. :)
  22. Hi Gib. Have a look at my threads on here mate. ;) Have already had the nasty plastic rear arm piece re-skinned in proper dark carbon fibre, as well as the door switch control surrounds. :) Currently getting the front centre console, ashtray lid, cup holder lid and my custom one-off centre air vent triple gauge pod holder re-skinned to match. B)
  23. Lol, seems like it Stu. :) Never say never and all that, but it would need to be something pretty special for me to part ways with the IS-F. I'm too invested in the car now as well really! Wouldn't get back anything like enough to cover my outlay! Lol. I'll make sure I get another thread up here once I have a few more jobs ticked off the long list! ;)
