  1. Here you go. You need to factor in the clearcoat. Example is to show the similarity in the weave pattern.
  2. Hi Ollie, Thanks for the kind words. Much appreciated. Paul at C6 carbon did find a good match for the silver OEM carbon trim. Think I posted a picture on one of my carbon threads to show people the match?? Will try and dig it out again for you. I'll also PM you Paul's email. He's quite busy a lot of the time, but hopefully he can help you out mate. Cheers.
  3. Maybe wheel alignment? If not, could be time for the RR-Racing USRS? I don't get any issues with mine. Not that I recommend it, but even tried braking quite hard on an empty stretch of road without holding the steering wheel, and car steered straight and true. Hope you get it sorted soon.
  4. I have the USRS fitted to my car as most know. can honestly say I get none of the issues you mentioned with the BMW. Steering, confidence, precision. Plenty of this with no downside I am aware of. Hands down my best modification in terms of drivability. Anyone wanting to try before you buy, I'd happily let you drive my car to experience the benefits. Just need to meet up.
  5. Hey Rick. They will calculate it all for you at the dealership, but it won't be more than 3 services in total. You get 3 over 3yrs or 30K miles whichever comes first.
  6. Glad to hear you are enjoying the F Alex. I'd seriously look into the RR-Racing USRS though if you haven't got them already? Really do make a noticeable difference when it comes to braking/cornering at speed. Keep in mind the IS-F comes equipped with the same steering bushes as the other IS models! This was a massive oversight by Lexus in my opinion. Just the weight difference of having a 5L V8 up front should have set alarm bells ringing, but I guess it boiled down to cost! I'd love to add a proper LSD to my car at some point. The electronic version works fine for normal road use though I find. Keep enjoying those lovely roads up North mate! Cheers. Peter
  7. I'm with the majority on this one. You need to get an annual service done regardless of mileage. Keep in mind these are high performance cars at the end of the day. Fluids will degrade over time irrespective of the amount of miles you do. My car missed one service for this very reason under the previous owner. Whilst it doesn't appear to have caused any harm, I do hate looking at the missing stamp in my service book! Re-sale will be affected if you don't do it I reckon. Just be grateful it's only once a year! Look at the GTR servicing costs and frequency! Now that would be expensive! I actually find Lexus servicing costs pretty reasonable. Again, only needing one per annum means I can save up between them to make sure I have the cash put to one side. There was very little saving for me in taking out the service plan. Will stick with saving and paying for each one I think.
  8. Looking good Dave. Only problem is you will never really get to admire them once fitted! Lol. Bit like headers in that respect. Still the largest single gain you can make for performance, but no one will know as it's all hidden under the car! The improvement in handling and better tire wear will be the main gain though mate. All of the RR-Racing products I have bought were well packaged, detailed, quality items. Anyone can throw parts together and sell them, RR-Racing are different in that they thoroughly test everything first on their own shop/demo IS-F before they will offer them to the general public. If the products they make don't show significant improvements over stock parts, they won't sell them. One of the main reasons I buy lots of stuff from Rafi, Simon and their team.
  9. I think they are pretty good in the wet. I was on a corporate day last Thursday (23rd) over in Billericay. Weather was really bad with lots of standing water on the A127, M25, and A2/M2. Car coped surprisingly well considering. I do think they MPSS excels in dry conditions, but still holds it own in the wet as well.
  10. Best price I found was through black circle website. Fronts (MPSS) were £185 each, rears were £197 each. £764 for the set. Not bad I thought? Be good to hear if anyone finds them cheaper elsewhere.
  11. Spot on Dave. That's what I am running size/rating wise on my car. Went for the MPSS. Don't think there is a better tire available at the moment to be honest. Really pleased with how they cope in wet or dry conditions. Certainly better than the Vredstein's I had previously, although those were in OEM sizes, so not a fair comparison.
  12. Cheers chaps. Given the value of the pound at the moment, won't be buying the RR-Racing performance package quite yet! Lol. Hopefully things will level out soon though. Glad everyone is finding the DIY guides useful. Hopefully I get my second gold star as a club contributor soon! Plan is to try and get that bar filled before the end of the year! May do another couple of DIY guides on the front and rear bumper removal process. Know that's an area people ask about quite frequently. Again, thanks to everyone for the kind words, means a lot.
  13. Hi Dav, Yes it does, but not as easy to hear it inside the car. You hear it outside though!
  14. Hi guys, I've not dyno'd mine yet, but hope to do so very soon. Consensus suggests it should see a gain in power, but time will tell. I do know it's quieter with the X pipe fitted. Drone is now non-existent. Given my plan to add headers, that can only be a good thing in my opinion. Its more neighbor friendly! lol. Will get a dyno run done soon for comparison purposes. Cheers. Peter
  15. SRD in Sussex? Lee fitted mine for me. Hoping he'll do my PPE header install as well.
  16. Glad you sourced one to play with. Do let us know how you get on chap. Cheers. Peter
  17. Looks good Dave. Think the finish etc for a DIY version is spot on chap. Will look forward to reading your further posts after you do the miles to get another dyno run done. Glad it all came together for you.
  18. Glad you found the install guide useful mate. It's only after I myself have benefited greatly from US forum members posting guides for work I have had to do on my car, that I appreciate the need for these things for other owners around the globe. Knowing my guide helped you fit your controller down in Australia is great stuff! Hopefully it's pitched at the level where it doesn't insult anyone by being too basic, but also won't confuse your average mechanic that has only basic skills and abilities. Coming from other good forums for strong community spirit, it's not difficult to offer that here for people that need some help avoiding the potential pitfalls and costs associated with using garages that might try to milk them for every penny they can due to the rarity of the car/lack of familiarity with working on them. The IS-F is by no means a simple car to work with, but a lot of the jobs can be done without using the main dealers/top end independents. I was sure the red mode was the top one, but I'll have to try the pink mode again to see! Just shows you are still learning even when you think you know how it works! Lol. Do let us know how you get on with your car. All the best, Peter
  19. Thanks Chris. Yes, as far as I know mine is the most modified IS-F in Europe. The Defi triple gauges in place of the central air vents is unique to me I believe (not even the US or Japan have done this the way I did). It certainly is nice to do something completely unique. Whilst everyone is entitled to their opinions on whether I did the right thing by changing this or that, it really isn't about them. As long as I am happy with how MY car looks, drives, feels, that's all that matters. It is pretty cool though that an independent judge I had never met saw my car for what it is, and decided to give me the award. He had a Porsche Turbo (think it's in a couple of the photos) which for obvious reasons wasn't being judged, but the look, and rarity of my car pulled him in closer. When I ran through the extensive list of subtle and not so subtle changes, he could appreciate how much of a labour of love this car has been. Will be even more interesting after I add the RR-Racing performance package, and one day the RR-Racing supercharger kit. Just love the fact I do something no one else has done. Does have it's challenges though! Take fitting PPE headers! No tuner or shop here that has done these before (or often enough to do the complete job in 5-6hrs anyway), so it could in theory cost me more in labour than the headers cost! Worth it though given they still represent the single largest gain you can do to the F (until the supercharger is released, but that benefits from having the better headers as well).
  20. Cheers Dave. Guess I was just really chuffed someone independent decided my car and all the hard work I have put in warranted a Car of the Show award. Makes all that effort worthwhile. Was also nice to hear a few of the people walking around refer to it as an IS-F. Can't tell you how many people thought it was the same car as an IS-220d with a bodykit when I did the other show at Santa Pod back in October last year! Still got plenty to do, but I'm spurred on after this.
  21. Attending: 1. Stu - Evora s 2. Pete - IS-F
  22. Cheers chaps. May go bigger brakes all round Stu. If so, will get them in blue.
