Got a few nice photos from Lee today. Plan is to address a couple of niggles on Monday, and hopefully get it back on the dyno. Looking forward to seeing what it does. -

Gets my vote, More the merrier! -
Remaining 3 sets now posted. Last set will go out once I pick it up in December. Have PM’d the three buyers with bank info/costs, tracking numbers. Need to pay my SRD bill this week, so if you can get it done soon, I’d appreciate it. Thanks guys.

Nice one Dan, take it your missus doesn’t come on here then?! Lol. I second this. Or, borrow enough money to give her the same amount your spending on the car? That way it’s equal..... works for me! -

Does sound amazing in tunnels, especially in manual mode with the downshift blips..... Think he was worried I would drive right through him! Lol. -

Hi Chris, Thanks, it's going to be one special car once everything has been finished up, that's for sure! So mapping is all done by RR-Racing/Rafi. He will tweak/change the base map to accommodate any/all changes needed using the Dimsport software, then send me the new map via email. I load that map via the cable to the My Genius OBD 2 handheld controller, then connect it via the OBD2 port on the car, and upload the new map. Then it's good to go. Really easy, and works a charm. -

Won't stay looking like that though! Lol. Hence the reason I went with matt black tips, hides the dirt! -

Hi Mike, You should just do it. Ian and the guys at H&S have been brilliant, not the cheapest, but you do get what you pay for I find. No, pretty sure the fitment was relatively easy (mine was fitted my H&S), just getting the spacing right with the real quad tips. Those aren't black covers, they are ceramic coated stainless steel tips that are actually connected to the exhaust. You would get stainless steel ones with the system unless you want them to get yours coated at an additional cost (it's outsourced to another firm, not done by H&S themselves)..... Hope this helps. -

Indeed David, should surprise a fair few things with the new power provided I can get it to the road that is! Lol. May be looking at a square setup in the wheel department next year, I'm running slightly wider tires at the moment, but time will tell if it's going to be enough....... -

Absolutely. Really impressed with Lee and his team though, the finish and attention to detail/care shown throughout this build have been excellent. -

True, but that's what a secret squirrel bank account is for Big Rat! Just make sure you watch them away from Mrs. Rat! Lol. The headers have made a big improvement in my mind to the soundtrack, but with the added supercharger sounds, should be epic! Most have seen/heard this I assume? -

Surely everyone has found my YouTube video's by now? I really enjoy that last video, the short tunnel sounds epic! Keep in mind this was JUST the H&S system, so no PPE headers, and no supercharger! Lol. Will be getting some new video's up as soon as I can. -

So today was about getting the car fully back together and ready for it’s test drive/run in tomorrow. Here’s how it all looks with everything back on, and the badges etc all fixed in place. -

Today’s update....it lives!! Lee has fired it up, but needs to be run in properly on Friday. He’s not in tomorrow, which is fair enough. I’d mentioned the idea of installing the new AFR/boost gauge in the drivers side air vent, so asked Lee to see what he thought. Next thing I know, he’s done it! Looks spot on, really happy with how it looks. The main engine cover has also been worked on, and again looks spot on. Roll on Friday! -

Cheers Paul. Still feel the only proven option for our cars is the one from Rafi/Simon at RR-Racing. As you also have seen from my sneak preview photos from Lee at SRD, most of my covers are back in place as well which was something the Op was saying they preferred about the Bullet offerings..... My peace of mind with this kit is the fact Rafi/Simon have sold a fair few now, and continue to use/test on their own demo car. The kit wasn't available to buy until they were happy with it, unlike others that would be thrown together and sold with little or no testing. The choice of parts by Rafi/Simon is also a good indication of the quality this kit provides. They didn't choose any shortcuts or inferior parts. I had to wait an extra couple of weeks to place my order because the revised pulley design wasn't up to scratch, and Rafi had refused to accept it. It's that level of attention to detail that continues to impress me with these guys. -

Hi Mark, There are a lot more in the States, believe me! Not as noticeable because unlike here they have loads of states/space to hide them away! California for example has more IS-F's than the UK, and possibly Europe I reckon! Certainly a lot more than we have here. Must have been unlucky on your visits, seen at least one every time I've been to California this year! -

Hey Lee, I'll do some videos and sound clips, but it will sound much better in person I imagine! Hoping to do a couple of shows next year, plus a few meets where I can.... Also planning to take it to Le Mans next year, so should be a good test for it! It's a shame so many F owners are in the North of the Country, but if Big Rat can get this meet organised for the 10yr anniversary, I'll hopefully be able to attend that. -

Thanks, will see how I get on with the modified engine cover, as I said, not expecting everyone to like it, but does look neater. Thanks, I'm sure Lee and the team will be making good with the finish/gaps etc before I get the car back, it was just a teaser photo of how it looks with part of the main engine cover cut away. Will post finished photos at some point. Lol, thanks. You'd need to have been REALLY good this year for Santa to put one of these in your stocking! -

Couple of teaser photos from Lee. Main engine cover is a work in progress, so keep that in mind. It’s growing on me, but can see it being a Marmite point! -

Morning. It’s a sizeable investment when you consider that’s close to half the value of an early IS-F, but I’m not worried about it. Very few supercharger kits have been sold worldwide so far, but when you look closely at the parts being used, you realise this isn’t a cheap kit by any means. You're correct on the duty/VAT figure as well near enough. Trouble is going to be delivering that extra power to the tarmac, GTR has a distinct advantage being 4WD, as opposed to our RWD. Rolling starts will be fine, but from stationary, not so much! Lol. It’s the unique soundtrack I’m looking forward to hearing, sounded good before it was supercharged, so should be on a whole new level with the whistles, chirps etc! Lee is also looking to re-install the main engine cover (some of it anyway!), which will probably be another first, as I’ve not seen it on any of them before. Hoping the missing silicone coupler we need actually turns up today. It’s certainly starting to come together though. -
Cheers David. I'm not expecting UK delivery to be much more than £10-20 each (these are actually quite heavy), but I tend to just parcel everything up, stick the address details on them, and head to the Post Office to get them weighed etc! Guessing people want recorded/tracked 1st class or not bothered? I'm usually impatient, so go with 1st class, but 2nd could be cheaper?!?!
-
Hi David, Won't know the cost until I get it up to the Post Office on Saturday mate. Will let you know the price along with the tracking number after I've sent it. Hence it's a case of me fronting the costs for these until you can pay me back (that's why I needed to know which way people want to cover their payments)...... I'm fine with that, just want to be 100% upfront and open with everyone.
