  1. I think so. I found throttle response in normal mode to sloppy and a lot of throttle depression had to be applied to get out of roundabouts. By contrast I find sports mode too pokey for normal driving. Using normal mode and yellow on the controller is spot on and as good as between normal and sport modes. I think its a great mod. Stu
  2. Hey folks. Is there a good paint chip repair kit for Lexus colours??? Have a few I'd like to conceal. Also, what's the name of the isf grey colour? Stu
  3. Hi, you can order one from these guys: http://www.garagewhifbitz.co.uk Pete fitted mine as he has the tools to remove trim. Any garage you trust will be able to for it in the same way mine is fitted. The programming is VERY quick and easy. Instructions that come with it are spot on. FYI I run mine on 'normal' and 'yellow'. Stu
  4. Indeed. I know most modern engines can run on lower Ron fuels not like the past when some had to be Ron on X ron.
  5. That makes no sense. He is basically saying use any Ron but preferably higher Ron for track but it makes no difference. It does make a difference. You definitely get more miles from higher Ron fuel and a VERY negligible power increase. This is the case with any car. Not having a pop at you but would like to hear his reasoning. Stu
  6. Can't wait to see how it compares to rivals. Love the caliber colour.
  7. A higher octane fuel will return better mpg and a few more ponies. Is it worth it??? Not shure but I don't feed mine anything but the best. Pretty sure mpg wise it makes no difference if you factor in fuel price but it somehow makes sense to me!
  8. Nice post, power is more accessible in manual as you can keep the car in lower gears if you want for a more instant response. Stu
  9. You can't change the power delivery of the engine in the way you want. There are no maps to alter power delivery. Being a NA power plant it's just the way it is. Only thing I am aware of is the Apexi throttle controller which sharpens up initial acceleration. Also, if you want more 'on tap' power just leave it in sports mode as the car will hold lower gears for longer. Stu
  10. That's awful luck :( Hope the insurance company pay out. Stu
  11. Glad you enjoyed. As usual it is packed with Lexus tech which will be beyond thier previous models. Look forward to pics :)
  12. Wheels look really good fella. Like them a lot. Lights look good as well. Got the unit fitted properly now? Stu
  13. Was it?? Looks like they were just very keen to shift it. Very under priced. Not just saying that as i own one. The market ultimately dictates the price and £20-23k seems to be the right price for a good condition 2008 one. Stu
  14. TBF the RX is getting changed soon anyway. Rumour has it that there's 2 concepts coming to the Detroit motorshow - I wonder if the 2016 RX and the 2016 GS-F are the one's? Oh ok! Good stuff. Really don't like the styling of the current model.
  15. Had a poke around an NX when I went to get my car serviced. Like it a lot styling wise. Much prefer the looks to the RX. Only thing i didn't like was the cheap plastic trim on the exterior over the wheels. Makes the car look cheap. Also doesn't long to get bleached by the sun. Love the looks overall. Congrats. Stu
  16. Something is not right at that price. 22k upwards for 2008 seems the going rate at the moment. Time will tell!
  17. I am not happy. That's mad! Cheapest ISF by 5k ish!! No pictures though. Must be something odd going on here???
  18. I can understand your frustration and agree it's a pain to have to do so much leg work to get the best price. I also agree with the above in that's it's not a customer service issue is it? Did they treat you badly, with lack of respect, didn't care? Ultimately they are franchises and can charge want they like. As with all dealers, it is luck as to whether the one closest to you is good. I have found Woodford to be very good and Toyota in chelmsford. Very polite, always get courtesy calls pre and post service, offered tea and biscuit on arrival etc. Sorry you are thinking of selling. Stu
