    The US forum has extensively covered aftermarket filters. NONE will actually add BHP in isolation, some actually sap 2 or 3. You need down pipes and full exhaust to complement them. Sound on the other hand is a vast improvement imo and really adds to the thrill of driving the car. It is a V8 and in stock form does not sound like it imo. Air intake and exhaust made me go from liking the car to LOVING the car. IMO the Takeda provides the best sound from the digging i did.

    Personally I hope not but if they are not shifting then you never know. I'll be keeping an eye on the market as I'll be looking to sell mid next year. Stuart

    Self healing paint is paint with VERY small capsules of paint within it. When the capsules burst from being scratched they slowly fill parts of the scratch. Not convinced it does much.

    The whole VAG reliabikity issue raises its head once again. The perception of the general populous could not be more wrong regarding VAG reliability. The cars characteristics is a personal thing as you day. The m4 seems a bit more yob like and the RCF more refined. Let us know if you but one, then drive to my house and let me rag it for a bit :0)

    I think for all the reasons debated on this thread the rcf will be a better more enjoyable car for real world driving over the m4/3. In terms of reliability, styling, build quality, rarity, customer service.

    Agreed. I still think Lexus dropped a nutt here. It is to fat... Fact. Reduced weight would have improved the cars handling characteristics no end. Never mind.

    Whether he liked it or not it should have been given a chance to put in a time. It wasn't just this part of the show that was awful. The entire show was poor. It is getting worse and worse with every passing year.

    Always buy the latest you can afford. From your list the only thing the 2008 doesn't have is the mechanical LSD which won't impact you if you are not going on track and Bluetooth streaming. So workout if the extra purchase price is worth it for those options. I bought 'uplay' puck and use that to stream music. Stu

    No doubt it's a step forwards and I can appreciate the improvements but it's not enough to get me out of an ISF. Even second hand id rather by the isf and spend 5-10k improving it. We are all different. Personally I can't see a situation id want this car. I'd have a used 911 or lotus evora over it. The only additional practicality of the rcf is the boot. That's just me though. People on piston heads seem to like it in favour of the m4 so that says how well Lexus have done. Stu

    Standard prices. Gastro pubs just serve nicer food than standard pi and chips or fish and chips and are generally nicer inside etc. Just need a time now. Food service starts at 11:30 on Sunday so shall we say 11:30 onwards? Stu
