  1. Completely agree. I bet the very cheap ones are in a state.
  2. People are always trying to see what make mine is. Often slowing to look at rear the. Speeding up to look at the front :)
  3. That's a bit of a silly reaction chap. As I said above. Different cars and different markets are more suited to modified cars. The examples I know a FTO owner who's car was on fast and the furious and in many magazines and didn't sell for any where near the money the owner was asking. Also, the GTR is basically accepted as a car that gets modified in every market. As you know the isf had limited success over here and as such the mod market for one is very very low. No one is having a go so not sure why you are reacting like this. Folk are just expressing their views from experience of different cars and moding them. Like I said, I will of the evora if I buy one and the mods I want to do are 6k but I have been told i won't see a penny of that come resale and it may have an adverse effect unless someone like me come along. Just the way it is with some cars. Stu
  4. Sadly that's the way it is with some cars and the markets they sell in. Some cars and markets lend themselves to mods and some don't. The market is always reduced for a modified car by the very fact you have made it 'your' car. It may not decrease the value but sadly i don't think it will add value. Cars like this are better put back to stock for sale and you make as much back as you can on the mods.Had the same chat with lotus and Porsche folk. People are only willing to accept so much in terms of mods and that seems to be limited to exhaust, intake and maybe suspension. Anything else seems to put folk off. As with any car, if you live it then that's all that matters :)
  5. Oh ok, not ideal. They have been good to me so far so no complaints my end. For me it's more about how they repair the damage in such situations that makes me move on or keep going back. Stu
  6. Oh, what happened with Woodford? It's definitely not a car for tuning :(
  7. You are better off importing from the America imo as you point out more of a market and as such companies have spent a lot of time and money developing such mods. No idea re the mechanical diff. I am sure one can be fitted to replace the electrically controlled diff but unless you track the car is waste money I think. Stu
  8. Nice! Great times. As you say it was developed on track. Glad you enjoyed it. Nice clip, sounds great.
  9. It's certainly nothing like the reds you have said you like. You would need to see one to make your mind up I think. Stu
  10. Interesting. On bikes you reduce pressure so when you get out there and heat builds the pressure raises. If you go out on a bike with normal road pressure they get so firm on track they skip. Assumed similar logic would have been applied to cars?
  11. Check on the American forum chap as I am sure a lot of them track theirs. Only ever taken bikes on track. Let us know how you get on!
  12. True but the first one with reasonable miles is basically 20k. High milers will always be harder to shift. Be interesting to hear what condition they are in. If I listed mine which is an 08 with 58k and basically immaculate bar some bolster wear on the seats and with extended warranty id be starting at 22k and seeing what happens. Stu
  13. Welcome aboard and congrats with the purchase. Stu
  14. Madness. Hopefully you find the car you want. Make sure you take your time and find a loved example. I don't think these will lose much of any value from where they are now for some time. There is a lot of appreciation out there for these cars and well loved models will hold value well. Stu
  15. I appreciate all the welcomes & advice folks. An Irish ISF owner thats rare! I actually met an ISf owner the other day and he said as far as he knows there are only 4 in the country! People in the Uk prob dont realise how bad the tax is here. wait for it guys 2200 euro a year, not a misprint, absolute robbery! the supra will hit Piston heads now tonight so depending on how much I fetch for that will determine how long I have to wait for the F. After sitting in one last week it better be soon when I get my hands on one! Ross Heard similar silly prices when I used to own a Mazda 3 MPS and there was a chap looking to bring one across. Fingers crossed for you dude. Stu
  16. I did wonder what it would be like with the second cats removed. Bit of a bummer chap. Some pics of the bonnet and badges on the rear would be good. Happy to help with videos so people can hear the difference. Be good to that a stock one there as well. Stu
  17. I am also keen to hear Petes system! Sort it out Pete :)
  18. Congrats fella! It's only a car at the end of the day. Twins.... Wow! Stu
  19. Can't remember exactly but roughly 300-400 pounds. Stu
  20. Hi, I didn do them. I took the to a body shop I use in maldon in Essex. They took them off and stripped them down to component parts. Stripped off the paint back to the metal and the re-painted them in heat resistant paint. The decals are from eBay and again are heat resistant. Stu
  21. I'll try and get around to it but don't hold your breath. It is very unlikely if it hasn't been done in the states. Also being an N\A car gains will be trivial.
