  1. Having a good relationship with a paint shop I may well opt for re-spray every 3 years. All those issues mentioned plus maybe having to get the wrap replaced and the detailing needed when the wrap is removed make it seem more effort than it's worth.
  2. True. I'll definitely be getting a clear wrap on my next car. Just the full bonnet, wings, wing mirrors, maybe roof and side skirts as they pick up chips.
  3. I over egged it a bit. See below. This was for an evora. Standard kit £650+vat will need overnight, half bonnet & wings, mirrors etc.. Full kit £1150+vat will need two nights, full wings and bonnet, mirrors etc.. http://www.mintcondition-uk.com/ Personally I would ask for option 1 with a full bonnet wrap.
  4. Do you know of any good ones? I think I am going to go down the respray of the front bumper section and clear wrap it. Rob, who did my detail knows a guy near chafford hundred who does them on high end super cars. I got a quote for the evora and it was roughly 1500 for most the car and was about 800 for half bonnet, mirrors and wings. I can get his details if you would like?
  5. Nice. I saw a rc-f over the weekend but wasn't in my isf at the time. There are isf owners in Essex in this forum. Stu
  6. ... And side skirts on the isf and maybe the roof as well.
  7. I'll be getting either a clear wrap on my next car for areas most at risk or one of those shield cover thingies.
  8. I am not sure to be honest but would agree that darker colours offer better reflective qualities.
  9. Ha! Yeah didn't realise that until I watched it back :)
  10. Indeed. Just installed a draft excluder to my garage to minimise crud getting in under the door. It was 850 for paint correction detail, interior clean and engine bay clean. Stu
  11. Thought I'd take a short clip of the car to hopefully get across how it looks after the detail. It has been out but you get the idea. Also, products I mention are purchased from dooka UK not booka!
  12. As I said the majority are mile sensitive. You can't deny that's the case?!? Looking at any brand and any model this will be clear to see. The minority are less price sensitive but the majority are and will have a tolerance in terms of age/mileage in their head when buying any car for the reasons I have already stated.
  13. Nope, no difference it is just the case that the majority of buyers are mileage sensitive hence the difference in prices of cars of similar ages with different mileages on them. I am no different to the majority here and it always makes re-sale harder when lower mileage examples are available.
  14. Very common theme on this thread hey gents :) 80k is seen as high mileage for people buying performance cars. That's just a fact. Main reason being wear and tear. The engine may be just fine but the wheels, callipers, bodywork. Interior, boot eats may be mess. Like I said, if it's in good nick that's a bargain but it doubt it is.
  15. That's so good isn't it. Especially for a car of this nature. Stu
  16. It is yes and agree. 80k will come with wear a tear a lower mileage car couldn't. Stone chips and inside. If it is in great condition it is a bargain. I suspect it isn't. I am sure it's fine but feels the right price.
  17. Agreed as a lot of people (including myself) wouldn't buy one with those miles on.
  18. Nice photos and looks to be a busy meet. My daughters birthday on 30th August so I can't make that.
