  1. There is a series of reviews from 5th gear on YouTube (one so far) with the rcf and the m4. Annoyingly, none are on the roads! The one in the clip below is the sprint and auprisingly the rcf wins. Lexus are clever and the rcf gets the power down well. Still think it's a fatty though :)
  2. Thought this may be an interesting thread. Just wondered what people moved to after their isf and why. I'll start. I bought the isf as single car with the performance and excitement it offered. My wife then learned to drive and we no longer needed 2 practical cars. As such I started looking for sports cars. 911 is too common and doesn't fill me with and stirring feelings, db9 is too big and slow and same goes for maser gt and jaguar xkr. I stumbled upon the lotus evora when doing research. Quickly realised the my2012 onwards sports racer was the only option for me. Took one for a test drive and than was that! It is a completely different driving experience to the isf as you would expect and is a natural progression for me. It also offers the ability to go on weekends away with the family so is a great package. Stu
  3. The stamp is the key and how long people intend to keep their car for. Enthusiasts will not mind a car being services at a reputable specialist/Indy but non enthusiasts will. The only 'issue' is limiting the market come resale. All the buyers who contacted me about mine asked if it had flsh.
  4. Be interesting to hear your views on the different cars.
  5. Why do you need 2 sets? What are you doing to them?
  6. Welcome to the forum. Sounds like a good plan. Good luck with the search.
  7. There is a thread on this but I don't remember the exact figures other than it was about 220 in total. I personally don't think another like mine will come up. I had a lot of work done to it to get it the condition it was in when I sold it. I spent about 4K on it. Due to the rcf there has been a lot more interest in isf's recently. My advert got over 1500 views in 3 weeks! If you remain active in the forum and someone wants to move on maybe you can find out before it gets listed??
  8. Cheers chaps. A very different car to the isf that's for sure. Still rare as well so that's always a positive! I'll have it along when i organise another meet.
  9. I had intended to but I saw no reason to with the winter rolling in I just thought I would sell the Lexus and by the lotus in the new year. Save in tax and it needed and mot and service. Then the ideal evora came up so jumped on it! :)
  10. Spending a lot of time on the uk lotus forum has paid off! MY2012 evora s sports racers are not that common at all. Especially low milers with the colour combo a person wants. White was my second choice but the seats are such a lovely colour and make the red/black/white colour theme work superbly. I also wanted the red callipers, suede interior and manual box. I was very fortunate when a forum member let me know if a car be was trading in for a evora 400. I contacted the dealer and agreed a deal before it even went on the market. Deposit down and I collect the car on the 21st November. It's going to be a very long wait....
  11. If you get it for a good price you can tart up what needs to be done. Just bare in mind it won't be easy to sell on.
  12. Hi, that's the same shopping list as every isf owner. The reliability of the isf is epic. Very few issues at all with them and none that are common and needs to be addressed on every car. The wheels and callipers can peal on older models but this is not always the case. That's it! Make sure the recent recalls have been done. Brakes am an be expensive if done at a dealer at around 1500 all around for pads and discs but can be done for half that if you source the parts and get a Indy to fit. Try can get an exhaust that make the car sound not to different to the c63. That's what I did with mine. It was done by Hayward and Scott and now a lot of owner have the same system on their cars. It is a lot more rare than the others you mention and a lot more repairable and better looking imo. Loads of info on the site so get stuck in and have a nose. Stu
  13. Welcome ... It will be sleepless night!
  14. Looks nice and still stealth. Just a tad more aggression. Nice work.
  15. Yup, just a completely different animal, a lot more roar and silly power.
  16. Fair enough. Rcf is a great option then but as stated above is heavy and won't feel nimble like a sports car.
  17. Jag is £100k, out of budgetXkr-s can be had for As low as 45k ishhttp://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201508125990161?page=1&quicksearch=true&make=jaguar&sort=default&search-target=usedcars&postcode=cm29pa&onesearchad=used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew&model=xkr-s&radius=1500&logcode=p
  18. Don't need back seats... Have you looked at the jag xkr-s? Sounds like the rcf would be a very good option as well.
  19. Welcome to the forum. What's your criteria? This will determine if it's the correct car for you.

    Hi

Welcome. More pics of the toys would be good....
  22. Can you not tie back the lining with a few drill holes and cable ties to stop the rubbing Pete?
  23. If you completely decat the exhaust you will fail a mot and will most certainly throw a cel. A sports cat has a lower cell count so flows more freely than a stock car and will pass an mot. If you just remove the second cat and maintain the primary cars you may pass an mot but I can't be sure but a specialist may be able to advise you. A decat pipe will be the same diameter as your current pipes so will not cause and gas flow issues with back pressure. If you gut your cat then the bore will be a different size to the rest of your system and will reduce back pressure and torque. Either get a sports cat or a decat pipe and check it can pass an mot. Stu
  24. V6 with a good exhaust can sound superb, I had a v6 fto and it was great. You can only achieve a truly quiet sound with a valved system. A non valved system will always be louder than stock but a good manufacturer will be able to make a good non valved system that sounds great under load but not intrusive when cruising.
