  1. Ah ok so a lot of choice for you lucky sods then! I did indeed head to the ring in the summer with my dad in his boxster and mate on his 911. looking to do brands gp and the evo triangle this year and then the ring again in 2018.
  2. Indeed. Fits my wee one and the wife for weekend trips. Very reliable. It's the sr so has all the bells and whistles. Komotec do a 370, 390, 410, 430 and 460 upgrade kit which also include torque. Not cheap though. I have added a car back, alcantara wheel from the 400, splitter and side skirts. I can't lie, it's a bloody special car for gt and sports car use.
  3. I sold mine last year chap. It was perfect when we needed one car. My wife then passed her test and I sold it for a lotus Evora and a run around 😃 Lexus isf: Evora:
  4. Ah ok, I had warranty and could have intake and cat back and that was it!
  5. Man that's a lot of cars! Some lovely ones in there chap. That's epic modding for the turbo. The isf is a very special car indeed. Quality, rarity, performance, reliability etc. Any mods planned for the f?
  6. Welcome to the forum. Lovely looking porker. Why the move from sports car to saloon?
  7. Top banana! Looks superb. Wheels make a massive difference. Personally I like stealth cars when they are black so would plasti dip the badges and chrome accents. I'd also have dark gun metal wheels. With the silver wheels it works well.
  8. Surely the boot is the only place? Great topic though 😂
  9. Have to say combining the 'f' models in to one forum would be a good start. If just to encourage more activity. I found myself on the yank forum a lot but that's ok. It would just be nice to have a more active 'f' forum here. I know many are sceptical about meets but it makes a big difference to the ownership experience for enthusiasts. Speaking with like minded folk and putting faces to forum names etc People seem to find them awkward and may be unwilling to attend but they are always pleased once they do. It takes activity and willingness to participate to get things going and keep them going. It will ebb and flow but this place is good and has friendly people so it's all good.
  10. I did yes. Maybe worth checking the yank forum as I know there are many intakes that have been tested and there may be more efficient ones than the takeda option.
  11. Takeda actually loses the 2nd intake noise. It does increase noise though.
  12. Hold out. I sold mine wih 68k on it for just over 18k. It was immaculate! Always buy based on history and condition not mileage (within reason). I would always go for the lower mileage one but with the examples you have if both are identicle condition and history the 08 car is not worth 3k more.
  13. This is always an issues with smaller forums. As mentioned above there are 200 ish owners and the average age of the owners won't be young. Of the owners how many are car enthusiasts? Mine was my p&j but for many it's a daily. Again, of the owners how many want to modify their car? It's not like the m3 lot. It's a different demographic for the most part. It takes a few taking it by the scruff of the neck. It was the same when I had my Mazda 3 MPS aero. It's a numbers game and the isf doesn't have the numbers. I'll continue wih blue water meets every now and then so not forgotten about those. In the mean time. I hope you all have a lovely Christmas.
  14. Don't deny the quality and uniqueness of the car for a second reliability. The question is what market the car is aimed and what is it competing with? Looks like an M6, AMG GTS competitor. If that's the case it may do well. The question is, if you have 100k to spend what would you buy? Also, Lexus depreciation in the U.K. Is mental so will people really sink that in to it new. Look at the rc-f prices now! As with all performance Lexus cars it will be epically reliable and well made but fat and as with all Lexus performance cars it will be rare. Good for some and when it gets to a price point I will stay there for many years like the is-f.
  15. The proper 'f' variant will be 100k plus though? That's mega wedge and has it competing with some serious metal. I'd take a older 12c over a new one of these at that price point. It's also up there with a nearly new 991 GTS, AMG GTS etc
  16. Pretty sure it's as spacious as an m4?? Maybe I am mistaken! Either way it's a cracking car for the money.
  17. Wrong audience?? Was pitched at m3/4 type people which was spot on. It's just a Lexus and a lot of people are not prepared to make that leap of faith for what is actually a better car. If I were a more practical car I would be on one and not my Evora. Amazing vfm.
  18. Silly isn't it! What....67 new??? So 30k on one year!!!
  19. Bad time of year. March-September is best to sell cars. People always expect a 'winter bargain'.
  20. Looks like new wheel to me and I'd be checking suspension components as well. I have those tyres in my Evora and they are fab. They are coming top in group tests.
