  1. Epic for Lexus and why extended warranty is so cheap and offered for cars up to 10 years old.
  2. Let us know budget and list of wants (rwd, manual, number of seats, use of the car etc) and let's see what we can come up with.
  3. Welcome back! I was considering an exige 350 or 380 next but they are too hard core for my liking. The Evora is the sweet spot. Hope you find a good example 😃
  4. Let us know what you changed to and as that is a hot topic in these parts. All the next chap.
  5. As above. Consider the resale value of that means something to you then stay stock colour. I would consider carefully if this is worth it. A paint correction detail to the car may bring it to 90%. Then you are only left with a front end re-spray and touching in any other areas. Once done add ppf to the front of the car. I wouldn't get a wrap. I have never seen a perfect one that doesn't have bubbles or sits flush with no gaps against all areas. Also, it will need repairing from time to time.
  6. Interesting stuff. If I bought an rcf I would have to slap on an exhaust and probably hangs the wheels as I don't like the stock ones at all. Depending on how it handled a set of coilovers and that would be job done. I will most likely test drive one. depreciation is a key for me. I don't finance my cars so use the funds in my current car to help with the next purchase. I sold the isf for what I bought it for 2 years later and my list is won't move much if at all in 3 years where as the rcf still has money to lose. Good topic is this one.
  7. It won't be shabby and 5th gear had it bearing the m4 in a number of tests on road and track. I like it and may well take one for a test when I come to change just think it's a bit fat.
  8. Me too. Especially compared to a isf which I loved on B roads.
  9. That's the trouble in the rcf I think you would. Hustling that much weight around B roads will be felt.
  10. True. The isf is the pick of the bunch matching the other 2 almost for performance, having the practicality and being so cheap. The fact Lexus offer 10 years warranty also makes it a great buy and is another factor buyers will consider. The rc-f needed to be a more focused car. It is not really a family car due to 2 doors and limited rear space so is more a toy. As a toy it falls short. If I had a one car household with kids the rcf would not get a look in. I am keen to see what the LC-f will be like and how that depreciates as that car (in available forms) is getting good reviews for dynamics. It is what the rcf should have been.... I have digressed.... again...
  11. True but for me I won't be buying the rcf due to its weight and driving dynamics when this could have been perfect for when my nipper out grows my lotus Evora. For me the isf is a move backwards (as I previously owned one) and the gsf is too big. Agree with what you are saying around price points though and agree. Given how good the isf was I really do think they missed a trick with the rcf.
  12. Congratulations. I too would have bought it and taken it to Lexus for warranty and service to preserve the history. Sounds a beaut. Enjoy 😃👍
  13. The isf has good reviews and compares favourably with its rivals and as such people looking at rivals often choose the isf instead. Ergo values remain ok. The rcf had pretty awful reviews across the board and does not compare favourably with rivals from a journalistic stand point and ultimately this killed it. You simply can not make a sports car this heavy. End of. The gsf seems to be doing well when compared to rivals so I expect it to hold value relatively well at a point just like to isf. It's that simple for me.
  14. Having cats in the headers defeats the point of fitting aftermarket units. Deleting the cats is where all the power gain comes from. If you need a cat for emissions i would suggest a sports cat as a part of the exhaust system after the headers. I would also consider a valved exhaust if you use the car early and you like your neighbours!
  15. No professional needed. Easy for anyone with a hand 😃 Their product range is pretty epic but this wax is amazing. Bit of a game changer in terms of time to apply and quality of the protection offered. Have a google and you will see very quickly how well it is regarded. Their trim restorer and glass cleaner are also superb.
  16. Looks great. Since discovering g-technique c2 v3 I have never looked back! It is spray on and buff off and takes me 20 minutes to do the whole car. It can also be applied to glass and plastic. It's used by pro detaikera and lasts for 6 months with one coat. Epic stuff.
  17. No x pipe which is interesting. Similar set up the h&s isf system being 2 separate pipes.
  18. If the wheels didn't have those horrid studs on the inner rim I'd quite like them. Not a fan of the steering wheel or the colour combo on the interior at all. Looks like a wrapped roof and aftermarket exhaust. What options did he spec? Hasn't got carbon fibre pack which for me is a must on this car. Doesn't it come pretty much fully loaded?
  19. Probably not. If all built from similar quality stainless steel then it's all down to tone folk prefer.
  20. A VERY fine wire wool. I just use a lint free rag.
  21. That looks like a very well put together system! Sounds superb. Others will probably want to know who did it? Where are they and how much was it? Well done.
  22. As per the title! Wondered if anyone else will be attending? With track time on offer and over 500 cars in attendance it looks to be pretty epic. stu
  23. As others have said, most people at car meets don't even know what the isf is. Parking it with the rear showing generates interest due to the exhaust layout. It's amazing how few petrol heads are aware of it.
