Slippery slope my friend. Detailing world forum is where you will get the best advice from professionals and enthusiasts. You don’t need snow foam just a prewash. You have some good products there. Dooka to the best washing mits and drying towels I have come across. The biggest discoveries for me have been: - using a pressure washer and a citrus prewash is a massive game changer in terms of reducing scratches on the paint and saving time - discovering gtechnique products. They are simply incredible and their c2v3 body way is the best thing to happen to detailing in many years. It is a spray on and wipe off wax that finishes harder and is more durable than wet waxes. It can also be used on plastics, glass and wheels. Took me 20 minutes to do my Evora. It used to take me 2 hours or more tonwax the the car, great the plastics, windows and wheels.

Only for very small debris not stones.

Yup, had ppf on my Evora and it did a good job but over curves it wasn’t ideal and was noticeable. I’ll get it applied to carbon fibre elements when the time comes I think and maybe the won’t mirrors. The front bumper on the rcf is almost all grille so not too worried about that.

@Flytvr do you maintain it any differently from paint? I have resided myself to applying ppf to it to be honest. Looks amazing! My ideal colour is white and carbon.

Down sides of maintenance of carbon fibre? Not like paint? Maybe additional uv protection on products to prevent limit fade?

Indeed. Weight is worth it for the v8. It just shows how bias many reviews are. Reminded me of when the isf first came out and everyone complained about the fake exhaust tips and 8 gears. Look at cars now. It only got the praise it deserved in the articles speaking about it going out of production. Also wathcing more reviews the rcf gets some great reviews with folk surprised how close it is to its rivals on track and how easy it is to drive fast. But some state it has bags of indersteer and is unpredictable. Very odd. The carbon pack is also a must for me as it really adds to the drama of the car. The weight saving is trivial it’s morw the looks I like.

This shows you just how good the rcf really is. 200kg more and not carbon ceramic brakes... if Lexus had made it even 100kg lighter it would be even more competitive.

So it does place less stress on the gearbox when changing to neutral but not a lot. So still better to do it but ultimately it makes no / very little difference.

Why not go to neutral when stopped driving an auto? All it does is disengage the gears and let the car idle until engaging gesrs again.

Hi all, car finance is new to me. I am looking to buy a 35k (ish) car early next year and am weighing up the art of the possible. The car in question will be 4 years old and I plan on keeping it for the duration of any finance taken out. Normally I just get a loan from my bank as their APR is very good. However with buying a house this year I am looking to take the same value in money but keep repayments down where possible. A balloon payment such as that offered for PCP is preferable but I cant see a product that offers this for the sort of age car I am after. Is there such a product? Stu

That’s the key. You want throttle response of sport but ride of comfort. As such for my price point non AVS may be the better choice.

Seen the pdf you added. Thanks 👍 Can anyone comment on if the AVS is worth it? Does this mean without it it’s a single spring and shock rate and AVS makes it softer and firmer depending on drive mode selected?

Did you all get the system with an active valve? Assume if you did there is no drone on motorway driving with the valve closed?

Is adaptive variable suspension new for 2019? Thought this was included since launch?

Much much nicer wheels. Look after market in a good way. Two major things I don’t like about the rcf are the exhaust note (could be a lot nicer) and the wheels. Is tbere a list of changes anywhere?

Interesting reading and confirms everything I have read. A fair few reviews say tvd makes it harder to get the car sideways due to the way it deploys the power to stop exactly that happening and as such preferred the lsd cars. Personally I would like it on a car when I look and if it’s standard on a carbon car great as would be looking for the carbon cars.
