  1. Absolutely. My wife doesn’t understand why I value that attribute in a car. It gives me a sense of pride and just feels good. Loved that with the Evora. Frequently returned to car parks to have to wait while people took photos in front of it. I look forward to this with the rcf.
  2. This is a big draw and I classify it as the ‘ownership experience’. Much like when I had my evora. It got so much positive attention it indirectly made me feel good to own it. Also, turning up to car meets and being the only one or one of 2 or 3 max is also a nice feeling. People massively underestimate exclusivity.
  3. It opens up but you can’t hear the sound as clearly like you can with the stock setup. You don’t get the extra woosh of sound. Still sounds great.
  4. I agree on a performance car, the system should sound better. Other brands can do it. Does the rcf have valves in the stock system? Its is annoying knowing you have to fork out ££££ for the sound you expect from a v8 when you have only just bought a car. Having said that I do love a mod! One of the draws of the Merc is knowing you don’t need wheels, exhaust etc to make it how you want.
  5. Nice. Look forward to hearing the clips and seeing some pics of the system. I liked the takeda intake but you do lose the second valve opening sound with it.
  6. Agreed the we heels are not good at all. I am not sure about the car as a while but maybe it is the wheels blocking my judgement. I saw one at goodwood motorshow last year and was left a bit cold.
  7. Agreed, love the one I looked at during a meet 3 years ago now but the price was hefty, especially for the carbon one. The car is now where I expected it to be price wise and I imagine like the isf it will fall very slowly in depreciation from here on. At the current prices it is a mighty car in spec and performance and reliability for its age.
  8. This is pretty much what I was thinking. Reduced ponies and torque on a car that needs both to compensate for weight. The update seems to be more eu regulation and enforced than by choice. If anything this makes the older models more desirable imo.
  9. Nice, oris do some lovely watches and I almost bought one in favour of my longines when I was looking. I do like panerai, instantly recognisable.
  10. Collision stuff I don’t care about and I am surprised adaptive cruise is not standard. Its a great feature.
  11. That’s a lot of cars to avoid in a small pool available! What is acc and pcs?
  12. Press cars that had the hard life? Of the 200 ish available how many were press cars?
  13. Agreed. The rcf should be good at current prices from a depreciation point of vire but time will tell.
  14. Bang on and exactly my thoughts. This is my goal over the next few cars. Buy the right car at the right price and sell for as little loss as possible. Sounds easy but it neeeds a lot of research. Managed with my isf and my Evora and rcf is the next one then hopefully a Aston v8vs and then who knows!
  15. 30-35k is a sweet spot for a lot of car owners in terms of how much they are willing to spend. Also with the rcf now coming close onthe isf in price depreciatuon should slow dramatically. I would never look to own a new one of these but your budget is the same as mine when the time comes. Also, you are looking at the worst time really as the market for sports cars always picks up this time of year. The white carbon one looked a bargain given the current market imo.
  16. The Evora seats are superb. Loved mine. Supportive yet super comfortable. Can you not get them to heat as the Evora seats are heated? You may well regret a full alcantara wheel. It doesn’t take much for it to lose the nice feeling and turn hard and nasty. Looks nice though. Lovely job.
  17. I spend my time on forums like these and areas I have other interests in. Ph less and less. More and more trolls.
  18. That’s the issue I had with my isf system. For early starts it was super loud. I would need a valve next time around. Sounds like you have the non valve one. The operation of the valve is usually on a separate fob if you have one.
  19. They are a bunch of blinkered muppets! It is clearly a great ownership proposition and any reasonable person can see that. I just don’t get some folk.
  20. Basically all it does is protect against light scratching but anything remotely hard will penetrate it. Ppf is the only route to protect paint and even that can be penetrated if the stone is moving fast enough. I will have a full front end ppf, roof and spoiler when I buy one. Having had it on the Evora it is good stuff.
  21. Really? Lasts for aaaaaaages, easy to apply and can be applied to many materials. Also leaves a great finish. What’s not to like?
